"At first, having two older girls and being well aware…"
At first, having two older girls and being well aware of previous marketing of Baby Annabell I assumed it would be fine to purchase the newest version 6 for my youngest daughter. However, on arrival of the doll I realised that Zapf, for some reason seem to have removed a lot of the doll's previous features and it comes with disappointingly few accessories and a tiny toy sheep that does not have a matching outfit as stated in the description.
This doll swings its arms and moves like a newborn, a nice idea in theory but one which in practice renders it unfit for purpose when you consider that most little girls like to put their dolls in pushchairs and and carry them around comfortably.
On the plus side, this doll is prettier than previous models but I have no idea why Zapf didn't stick to the original design of a doll which moves its mouth when drinking, etc. The older versions have a lot more play value and if your little one wants this doll for Christmas I would try to get hold of a version 5 instead.
