"Cute, but didn't really hold my baby's attention…"

This toy plays music and has a static light display in variable shapes and colours. It's a shame that the lights don't move as I think that would be more interesting. The music is soothing but I don't think the toy is worth buying for the music alone. My daughter is only 2 months old, so maybe a slightly older baby would take more notice of it.

"Rainbow lights, shapes and sounds but actually it's just a bit meh...…"

There's nothing inherently wrong with this, although actually having only one volume setting which is on the loud side in my opinion is a tad annoying. You can have just lights only though if you prefer.
It's just it doesn't really offer that much. The light show is static (which is a real shame as if the lights moved that would really grab the interest), and although is in variable colours, the variable shapes option (hearts, flowers etc) is probably a bit lost on most of the youngest intended users of this product.

"Personally I would spend my money on something else…"

The cube has soothing music, and static lights - either stars, hearts, shapes or a plain light.
My four year old liked it and found it quite useful as a portable light. However as a parent I probably wouldn't buy it.
It is not annoying, but I don't think it is something you would really feel the need for. The lights don't move, so don't really hold a baby's attention. The music has no volume control. I would buy a baby monitor with a music and light function if you want that and a cuddly toy for night time, or a mobile with music.
