easy to fix on to a buggy, such a helpful product to keep a baby happy. It's light weight and easy to pack away as well.
It's useful to block out the wind or keep the sun out of their eyes.Read moreLessMumsnetter cookiejarlife

12-Apr-2013
I had a SnoozeShade with our second. It was fab not just for the sun protection and avoiding fiddling with parasols, but also for keeping little fingers out of the pram and fiddling with the baby when I was trying to get him to sleep.
I'm now passing mine on to my sister in law who is due in couple of weeks.Read moreLessMumsnetter BirdFromDaNorf

I was given one of these Snoozeshades when my son was born. I have to say hands down this was the best gift. I literally used it every day. Even when my husband and I went on date nights with the babe when he was small we used it in restaurants so his sleeping pattern was not disturbed. Now, this is the gift I give to new moms. ;-)

"The Snoozeshade Twin is a great product. This black out…"
02-Mar-2012
The Snoozeshade Twin is a great product.
This black out blind for buggies allows babies to sleep anywhere, on the move, whilst protecting them from wind and sun.
We took our Snoozeshade Twin to Spain with us for our 'familymoon' and it really did make a genuine difference to our time there.
We used the Snoozeshade on the beach for a morning nap, along the promenade for an after lunch siesta, for an early morning stroll through the village. It enabled us to leave the house for longer periods of time without depriving the babies of sleep or upsetting their routine. We also felt confident keeping them outside as the shade offers sun protection of UPF50+. We did not leave them in direct sunlight however as they did tend to get a little hot under the shade when it was a very hot day.
The shade was well ventilated though, made of a breathable fabric and with the zip opening hatches at the front for extra air flow if required.
This week we have started a busy timetable of baby classes back here in the UK. Every morning we are out before 9 and at 9 the Snoozeshade is attached to the buggy and the babies have their nap.
They love being snuggled under a BundleBean blanket in the dark and it never takes them long to fall asleep, and they stay asleep for a good length of time too.
The Snoozeshade encourages good sleeping habits for babies while allowing mummies a bit more freedom without the worry of breaking their child's routine.Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

"I have had a SnoozeShade for the buggy for a…"
11-Jun-2011
I have had a SnoozeShade for the buggy for a while now which is great as a sleep aid whilst we are out and about. The car seat version of SnoozeShade is so much better than the shade that came with the car seat, in that it covers the head and also right down to the feet. This means it blocks out a lot of the light and reflections from the car windows and also must help reduce noise level a little as well.
The baby I care for will often have a nap when we are on a car journey and now that I am using the SnoozeShare I feel she is drifting to sleep quicker than she did before, thus has rested more during the journey.
I have yet to master how to get baby out of the seat with the shade half attached. I guess you are supposed to take the cover off completely. I fear losing the shade if I remove it completely, so keep the Velcro attached.
It is a universal shade so how well it fits your babies car seat will vary but to me it looks like it should fit many of the rear facing with carry handle type baby seats well.
I am looking forward to using it a lot over the Summer as baby will be coming on many outings with her older siblings, many involving car journeys at times when she will have her nap.Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

"This is probably the best item I have bought for…"
07-Mar-2011
This is probably the best item I have bought for my baba in a long time. I used to struggle to get LO to sleep when it was a really sunny day and I had to go out to the shops, but since I have bought the snoozeshade she now sleeps solidly and comfortably for much longer. It makes going out and about on a sunny day much less stressful, as she was always getting up set when the sun was on her face. I tried umbrellas but they used to just blow around in the wind and never stay where you want them. Snoozeshade has solved all this, and they were on offer too at helpbabygrow.com so that was a bonus.

01-Feb-2011
I used the Snooze Shade since Lily was born and have found it to be fantastic, it really does help not only with getting her off to sleep but also keeping her asleep for longer. Often she sleeps longer in her buggy than she does in her cot! It was invaluable when we were on holiday last year and wanted to eat out in the evening, she just snoozed away in her pram at the side of the table.

"I have twins, one of whom always refused to sleep…"
31-Jan-2011
I have twins, one of whom always refused to sleep in the buggy. He is a little livewire that hates to miss out. A friend suggested I try snoozeshade, and I bought one when they were just over a year old.
I was sceptical as nothing had worked before and I thought that they would be too old by then. How wrong was I! I used it for the first time slap bang in the middle of spectating at the London Marathon. There were tannoys, vuvuzelas, people cheering and so much going on. BOTH boys slept like angels for over an hour! The boys are now almost two and I have used my Snoozeshade on every holiday and day out since. One of the best 'baby' things I ever bought!Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

30-Jan-2011
was given my snooze shade as a present, and initially thought I wouldn't use it that much as my baby always dropped off in the pram regardless of what was going on around her. However, I soon realised that as she got older she was more and more interested in everything going on, and I have become completely dependent on using it if I want to be out and about. I use it when I'm shopping, visiting friends, in the creche -it means I can get her to sleep anywhere. This is a really simple product but highly effective - great idea!

This is amazing! My baby boy has been a nightmare since moving into his pushchair and has never slept no matter how exhausted he is. I just happened to come accross the product in a mothercare brochure that had been put into my carrier bag yesterday so bought it today - less then 5 minutes after I'd attached it he was fast asleep! Great product. My little boy was awful at falling asleep in the pushchair but as the Snoozeshade completely blocks out all distractions, it was just what we needed. I was able to walk around the shops and have a coffee in peace without him getting overtired and us having to go home. I can't recommend it enough.

28-Jan-2011
The Snoozeshade has saved me many a battle! My daughter will not sleep when away from home unless it's dark. I used to tie a blanket over the buggy but she would always kick it off and so it would continue until one of us gave in. I love how it attaches so easily to any pushchair, so far I have used it on 4 different pushchairs and even in the car!! Last week I used it as a raincover because I'd forgotten mine.

28-Jan-2011
I can't believe no-one invented this before!
I absolutely LOVE my SnoozeShade. I have a 17month son who will work himself up into a state of exhaustion and refuse to sleep while we are out, because he is too distracted by everything he can see all around him. But when i put the snoozeShade on the buggy, he switches off almost instantly, and within a couple of mins is fast asleep even when its quite noisy around us.
I used the SnoozeShade in the south of france last August, and on the ferry on both journeys, and honestly I don't know what I would have done without it!
I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone with a baby or toddler who still needs daytime sleeps but finds it hard to switch off when in the buggy.Read moreLessMumsnetter DozeyR

26-Jan-2011
This is a really adaptable product which fits most types of pushchair. We took it on holiday with us and it fitted to our hired pushchair perfectly. I love the fact it folds up nice and small so it's easy to take out and about with you. It provides great blackout and screening and the little zip which allows you to check on your baby is a good touch, my boys like opening it to check on their baby sister! We've also used this as a 'roof' for the rear seat on our Phil & Ted pushchair on a very sunny day, the stretchy fabric and velcro tabs mean you can attach it to just about any part of the pushchair. Don't waste money on expensive sunshades which are made by puschair manufacturers, go for this one and it will fit to just about any pushchair!

26-Jan-2011
The snoozeshade is a fantastic gift for a newborn, I have bought them for a few friends now and all the mums have been really happy with them. The snoozeshade certainly helps to block out light to help baby switch off and get the much needed sleep that they need whilst on the go...lets face it, they can't sleep in their cot for every nap otherwise you'd never get out. I wish this had been available for my son when he was born as it would have saved me having blankets falling off the pram all the time.

25-Jan-2011
I have not used this in the sun yet, but I have found it great for getting my DS to sleep in the buggy when he is tired but stimulated do having trouble dropping off. It is also perfect for if you are in a busy place (church, family gathering etc) and you need to "put the baby away" to stop everyone poking him and then asking why he won't sleep. Finally, it is great for putting on when he is asleep when we are out and then he will stay asleep once we get home. Previously he would always wake up when we got home.
I leave mine attached to the buggy all the time - the fluorescent lining is good for visibility - do can just flip the top up if needed.Read moreLessMumsnetter Paffle

24-Jan-2011
Fantastic product, don't know how we've managed without it this long!
After weeks of having to cuddle our 7 month old to get him to nap during the day we have been putting him in his pram during the day with a big bath towel draped over it to block the light. This led to the inside of the pram getting really hot and stuffy so when I found the snoozeshade I was over the moon!
It is simply brilliant, and as the saying goes 'does exactly what it says on the tin', without and gimicks or bells and whistles, it just does what it's meant to, very, very well.
It fits really well onto our silvercross sleepover and the viewing flap is genius!
Buy one, you won't be disappointed. I can't wait until summer now, no more walking round with a muslin square clothes pegged onto my pram hood for me!!!Read moreLessMumsnetter nellypledge16

The most fantastic thing I have bought for my son! I don't go anywhere with out it!!
The SnoozeShade super lightweight, has very bright yellow/green for the straps so you can them. The one thing I love about the snoozeshade is that it has 50SPF factor, so if your out and about in the sunshine you know your child is protected. "This gadget is fantastic! When I had my first baby…"
01-Dec-2010
This gadget is fantastic! When I had my first baby I ended up covering over our baby car seat and buggy with my coat SO many times to try to get my daughter to nap when we were out. As a new mum, getting a break while she napped was very important to me, and when they are tiny they will sleep all day to start with - but by a few months old it was far trickier to persuade her to sleep when I knew she needed to. The Snoozeshade is a one-size-fits-all elasticated buggy blackout cover (like an elasticated cot sheet but darker fabric) that has bright velcro tapes for visibility, lowers light levels inside the buggy (it's a factor 50 sun protector too) and knocks off the visual stimulation for baby so that they can relax and get to sleep. It fits well on the two buggies I use (phil & ted and Maclaren techno XT) and there's a central zip hole so you can check on them without having to remove the straps. I did have a Shade-a-babe, but the Snoozeshade is less than half the size folded up and fits on the buggy more snugly. Good sleep for baby = happy baby = happy mummy!
