"Love this pillow! I was struggling with a soft V…"
21-Oct-2010
Love this pillow! I was struggling with a soft V pillow and bought an Ultimate filled with Buckwheat - it's a revelation! Baby is now up high enough, pillow is firm so I can manoeuvre him much more easily. He doesn't slip out of place and so I don't end up contorted keeping him in place. The tie-on aspect is also great for this
It isn't cheap, but the fabrics are really nice and it's well made.
Highly recommendedRead moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

"The Thrupenny Bits Breastfeeding Pillow is one of the best…"
26-Jul-2010
The Thrupenny Bits Breastfeeding Pillow is one of the best bits of baby kit I've come across. I only wish I had found it sooner: I bought a Widgey pillow during my first pregnancy and while that has been great to use at home, a Thrupenny Bits pillow could have done the same job and more.
The crucial design point of this pillow is that it is so lightweight, which makes it extremely portable. The polystyrene filling is robust but light as a feather. The straps can be tied at any length, so it attaches comfortably to both my slim single and my enormous twin pushchairs. It could easily be carried over the shoulder too (although I've never done this, as pillow plus handbag plus baby in a sling would probably be too much bulk!).
Another (minor) plus point that puts this pillow ahead of other similar products is that it can be converted into a bag by removing the filling, once you have finished breastfeeding for good. Realistically, I'm unlikely to ever use this as a handbag/fashion bag. I bought the plain cord version atRead moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

"Excellent product and great service! I received the pillow today…"
29-Jun-2009
Excellent product and great service! I received the pillow today and it is lovely, extremely helpful and there have already been two excellent feeding sessions with it! My baby is very small (he's four weeks now but only just made it to 2.5kg) and he's not great at latching, also gets very upset when I have to wriggle to get into a comfortable position and then he falls off the boob and sometimes won't go back on. This pillow seems to be preventing all that! If it carries on being this good I will probably order one of the bigger pillows as well in due course.
The pillow is also really pretty (I have the pale blue corduroy one for my little boy). Highly recommended all round!Read moreLess3 people found this review helpful.

A breast feeding pillow is something all mothers need whether breastfeeding or bottle feeding as it provides support for you without all the awkward positions. This one is great and easy to use.

There are many breastfeeding pillows out there.
Some are inflatable. Some contain beans. There are almost too many to choose from.
At least this one is pretty!
However, it is not a real 'essential' and a biological nurturing dvd would suggest loads of positions that would not need special equipment and be helpful too.Read moreLessMumsnetter TheBurnsifiedEffect

A wee bit pricey, but a fantastic pillow for feeding as it is nice and firm, high up enough and it ties around your waist so baby doesn't end up slipping down between you and the pillow. It's so portable, pretty and has a use post-feeding as a bag- highly recommended!

I already own two of these bags (a large one for home and a smaller one for travel) and they are fabulous. Not only are they very practical (if not essential!) but I also get lots of jealous looks from other mums. The photos on the website don't do them justice as they are even more lovely to look at and really well made. So when it came time to buy my pregnant best friend a present there was really only one option. I'm sure it won't be last one I buy either!

Love this funky breastfeeding pillow. It is easy to take out and about. My four week old son fits perfectly on it in restaurants etc. It hides my fat tummy and its easy to carry around. A real must for breastfeeding mums.

"With my first child breast feeding came with all its…"
12-Dec-2008
With my first child breast feeding came with all its difficulties and challenges. Never a natural breastfeeder the most awkard issue for me was finding a comfortable sitting position to ensure I was in the right position for feeding my baby. It became an obsession and one that ulimately lead to my decision to stop after 4/5 months of trying. This product is superior to any other in the market place and it transformed my breastfeeding experience with my second child. If it wasn't for the bag/pillow I am sure my experience would have been quite different. Now that my baby is over 12 months old, I now have a very funky bag to carry nappies, phone and keys in. Thank you to the inventor. For me its simply the best solution on the market. I was never without it.

This is a fantastic breastfeeding bag/pillow! First time round I had a huge pillow which was good but not portable. Then when my 2nd child was born earlier this year, I discovered this bag and it has been so much easier! You can just take it everywhere you go and it looks great and when your baby is really small, it is so handy to have that extra help and comfort with the pillow and not be confined to your house! Now i use it as a bag, would def recommend it

04-Dec-2008
This feeding pillow was a great gift as it lasts a lot longer than many new baby gifts. It was fantastic for breastfeeding, especially for good positioning. I also found it useful for getting comfy in bed. When my baby reached 6 months the pillow was great for supporting her to sit up. A very versatile and stylish gift.

25-Jun-2008
The amusingly titled Thrupenny Bits is a portable crescent-shaped breastfeeding pillow which you're not ashamed to be seen out with!
It comes in a range of vintage-inspired prints to please the cupcake/bunting-lover in all of us. The stuffing comes out for washing and the case can be used as a bag as well. It made those tricky first few weeks of breastfeeding easier as I was able to position the baby quickly and concentrate on the latch. A great gift, especially for a C-section mum.Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.
