Picture Mug

Great and inexpensive idea, though not fully practical - they don't seem to wash well and are better used as decorations or stationery holders!

We buy one of these for Daddy for Christmas and Fathers Day - it's become a tradition. We buy a photo montage style cup from Snap Fish so we can have a year's worth of photos on one mug.
The quality is not great though and a few broken ones are now used as pen pots.

A photo mug is a great idea. We got one done for christmas for my partner from my son, which we did through snapfish. You could put writing on there, and from 1 to about 20 pictures on there. We had 20 pictures, all different ones of my son and my son and my partner from when he was born until the present. Its really personal, was cheap, and my partner loved it. You could also get a mug and paint set as well, so you can do your own design on the mug

This was great for my husbands staff room last year although it did get broke so I may well get him another this year. Value for money and a apreciated gift.

Excellent idea- especially if the children can design the mug for Daddy themselves.
Ours all seem to have washed pretty well and sit proudly on his desk at work so it seems to have been a good idea.
Also a pretty cheap gift idea- we filled ours with some favourite sweets and wrapped them up.

Ideal present, mugs goo quality from photobox and photos seem to have withstood frequent dishwasher cycles!

This was a brilliant idea and a big big hit as a gift. Kids also thought it was great as well and the eldest would probably want her drink out of it, if I let her!

The picture hasn't faded on this one either and it is a very well used mug.

I also bought picture coasters and a collage. It's addictive on these web sites ;-)

This was much more of a hit than I had expected, TBH - it was a collage mug with an assortment of photos of the DC - they love to point themselves out on the mug, and DH guards it jealously as HIS mug. Quality is pretty good and delivery was really quick.

I would like to recommend the Photo mug from Snapfish. I bought one last year for my husband and he is over the moon with it and has his coffee in it every morning. He adores looking at the photo of our boys on it everyday.

Brilliant idea for a present...a picture of my little boy and his daddy on a mug. Got this last year for my husband for fathers day and it is still going strong..picture not faded at all.

It's his favourite present ever - he uses it at work every day. I used Snapfish to put a collection of his favourite photos of DD, plus a few of the two of them onto a mug with a coloured background and a title ('Dadddeeee'). I secretly want one too but he didn't catch on again this year [sad]

I got a photo mug from Snapfish and although it is a lovely idea, the photos came out really blurry so choose your sharpest photos for a decent mug.

What a great idea for a dad gift! My dad is impossible to buy for as he never 'wants' anything. A photo-mug is both practical and meaningful - not a combination often found in gifts for the 'old man'. I'll definitely be getting him a mug with a photo of his new grandson for his next birthday.

We had one of these done by Snappy Snaps and the mug is still going strong 2yrs later. The photo of the kids came out really well and there was space to put some writing underneath too. Really easy to order once you have your photo and makes and excellent gift.

Oh yeah, DH loved his 'best dad in the world' mug with a photo of DD covered in sand! He has not even broken it yet and it was bought 2 years ago. Maybe he needs a new one anyway.

These are a super present.It's not the sort of thing that gets stuck in the back of a cupbooard and he can take it to work however, tiny his bit of personal space is.It can also help office politics as his mug will be easy to identify.
A word of warning though, I did buy one when on holiday abroad and put it in the dishwasher. It came out as a gleaming blank white mug, but I may have been unlucky, but please check the instructions.

A great way to include young children in present buying. If they can't help by choosing the photos they can just look beautiful on the side of the mug.

shop around because some offer left/right handle, one or two pictures and offers if you buy more than one. Very simple to do and now it's the only mug he drinks from.

My OH really liked the photo mugs I go him last year and the picture has survived a year of washing - not sure why I thought it might come off but was half expecting it! This has the added bonus of beng a useful present that won't gather dust, unlke some of the --trash-- amusing novelty gadgets around!

I got one of these done for fathers day last year and my partner was really chuffed - I got it done through jessops and it had a collage of 5 photos and then writing underneath - you can pick the colour of the border and the colour and font of the writing as well.

The DC (well, I) ordered a collage photo mug for DH last father's day - he loves it and DD loves spotting herself and her DB on it every time he uses it.
