"I was over the moon with the streety when i"
23-Apr-2010
I was over the moon with the streety when i first purchased it however my daughter is only 7 months old and the front wheels have almost worn out completely.
It is also very difficult to get up and down kerbs. Thought I was getting a decent pushchair at a bargain price in hindsight I wish I had spent more as the quality is not up to scratchRead moreLessMumsnetter jokye

"I am having the same problem at Beruti, the straps"
21-Jan-2010
I am having the same problem at Beruti, the straps are digging into my 13 month old daughter, I have had to buy a thinner footmuff as when the footmuff was on the buggy i couldnt do the straps up. I am very disappointed, i heard that you can get longer straps for the loola so i emailed maxi cosi and they replied that there is no problem with the standard straps on the streety and asked me how much my daughter weighed! She is still in 9-12 month clothes and only on the 25th percentile so I cant believe i am probably going to end up having to buy another buggy next year. Good for the first year but unless you want to have to buy another after a year then avoid!

"For under £200, this a great pushchair. PROS: - Folds"
13-Jan-2010
For under £200, this a great pushchair.
PROS:
- Folds and unfolds easily.A very compact chair. Great for travelling (car, plane, train... where you need to store it away, fold it and unfold it quickly). and to keep it at home if you live in an appartment.
- From birth. You don't really need the carrycot, which often pushes the price up by £200!.
- Baby can be looking forwards or backwards. A must for the first 6 months.
- Big basket. Good if you are out and about on foot.
- Lightweight. One of the lightest chairs from birth. Not as light as a Mclaren, of course.
CONS:
- Fabric is not waterproof. You'll need to travel with the plastic all the time.
- It is low and handle is fix. If you are tall it won't suit you. For 1,65cm tall mum is OK. 1,75m dad finds it slightly uncomfortable. You will need to go for Bebe Confort Loola or Loola up if you are tall.
- Doesn't negotiate kerbs very well. Because the handle is not very long, it has a bad angle to get of the kerb by pushing down the handle.
- Car seat fits on the car with belts. Base is bought separately.
- It gets heavy with a one year old, and you will be dreaming of a lightweight McLaren...but that's the case with most chairs suitable from birth.
This chair is one you should consider if you are a mum on the go and will be travelling a lot (for example flying, and going by foot). You are not tall (otherwise go for the Loola) and don't want to expend more than £200 pounds.Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

"I logged in to see whether anyone else was experiencing"
09-Jan-2010
I logged in to see whether anyone else was experiencing the latest problem that I've encountered with this pram: that the harness is SO tight now that my son (13 months) is clearly really uncomfortable. How on earth can they say it lasts until 4 years? Is there an additional strap one can add on to the harness to lengthen it?
We also had the usual problem with the back wheels, which we sent back to the manufacturer. Interestingly, they've not replaced them with the same kind of wheels, but rather ones like the front wheels. So far, so good. Like others, I also find the rain cover infuriating, just impractical that you can't simply fold it back or have any way of getting to your child while it's on.
We selected this pram because it is super light and small, but having had it for a year now I have to say that its many defects outweigh this advantage, not least the fact that if the harness can't be extended, my son has effectively outgrown it already.Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

"I spent a long time researching the best compact pushchair"
12-Dec-2009
I spent a long time researching the best compact pushchair as I have a very small car and the Streety seemed to tick all the boxes. It also folds down with the pushchair attachment in it so I figured I wouldn't need to buy a stroller later on. When it arrived it was like Christmas :) and I couldn't wait until we were able to take our son out in it. Our son looks really comfy in all the attachments, car seat, carry cot and pushchair. The snuggle toes attachment for the pushchair part is really coming into its own now the cold weather is setting in, it does slip down a lot but I just attach the harness and then move the whole thing up whilst he's in it. It's easy to push but you do have to push down on the foot hold every time you go up a kirb which is a little annoying. We have also encountered the problem with the back wheels, the right one has worn right down to the plastic hub but as soon as we informed Kiddicare they offered to send out a replacement wheel unit. Overall we are really pleased with our choice and our friends are always shocked at how easy the chassis is to put up and pack down and how compact it is. I would recommend this product and hope that Bebeconfort review the design of the back wheels.

"I have had the sane problem as others with the"
30-Nov-2009
I have had the sane problem as others with the rear wheels - the rubber tread wore down completely in three months. I bought the pram secondhand (3 months old at time of purchase); a few months later I spent £45 (inc. postage) to have the wheels replaced, for which the chassis had to be returned to the manufacturer (you can't just buy new wheels and fit them yourself). Three months later, the wheels are down to bare plastic again. Also, the frame goes out of alignment causing the wheels to splay outwards and so they wear down on the inside edge. It was realigned when the wheels were renewed, but went out of alignment again in no time.
My other gripes about this pram are the harness and the raincover - the harness is too small to fit over a winter coat; I can only just squeeze my nearly one-year-old into it. The raincover is awkward to fold and bulky to store, taking up most of the space in the basket. It is also impossible to put a child in or out of the pram without completely removing the raincover - it won't just fold back over the pram hood, so you stand there (in the pouring rain) with a baby tucked under one arm, struggling with the raincover with the other arm, as the velcro tabs keep re-sticking themselves around the chassis as soon as you undo them and try to lift the raincover off.
The pushchair also seems to have a fair bit of resistance when pushed, feels like it wants to veer off to one side and is difficult to get up kerbs.
On the plus side, it folds up compactly and is reasonably lightweight, and my reasons for choosing it were that it can be parent-facing (although you have to have the seat in the forward-facing position to fold it, but this isn't too much hassle) and it has a one-piece handle so can be pushed with one hand (in theory).Read moreLessMumsnetter Duvetmagnet

"Great Travel system! I bought this for my firstborn, 10"
01-Aug-2009
Great Travel system!
I bought this for my firstborn, 10 months ago and it's still in excellent working condition. I have read the other reviews and i honestly think it sounds like bad luck.
Bebeconfort AKA Maxi Cosi - a trusted brand name, and I'm sure many mums will agree. one of the smallest buggies (when folded), but not necc. the lightest. I paid £215 for mine and well worth the money. A great car seat, foot muff, rain cover. Car seat is a group 0+, and lasted us until my son was almost 9mths, probably could've used it a while longer but I wanted the next stage car seat.
The buggy, great from newborn as reclines all the way down flat, so you can lay baby in sleeping position, it has 3 recline positions which is excellent and easy to switch from.
It is also dual facing so baby can face you in the early months and then when he/she is older you can switch it round. A definate must if you own a small car (i have a VW polo)and are worried about how you're gna fit a fancy new buggy in your boot.
It's good looking and comes in many colours, I owned the oxygen red colour and has been easy to clean when required.
The car seat fits on to the buggy which is always handy in the early days, it looks and feels well padded and comfy for your newborn.
Wheels are sturdy, steering is easy and lightweight, great suspension.
Folding the buggy couldn't be simpler. What else do you want to know apart from GREAT BUGGY-GREAT VALUE!!!Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

"I have brought the streety for my son to use"
17-Jul-2009
I have brought the streety for my son to use from birth until he no longer needs the pushchair . Unfortunatley after only 6 months use the rear wheels have worn down considerably and the bumper bar broke. I have had to send it back to manufactura whilst they decide to fix it as could just be wear and tear. Call me old fashioned but a £260.00 pushchair should last longer than 6 months!!!!
In the mean time i have borrowed the Maclaren from a friend and can't really fault it. I think my next child will get one of those.Read moreLessMumsnetter nicole1983

"I have loved the pram for the past 6 months"
04-Jul-2009
I have loved the pram for the past 6 months alas now the rubber on both back wheels has completely disintegrated. Bought from toys r us & expected from this well know store to be able to exchange the item as it's obviously faulty ....but no it has to be sent away for upto 6wks for inspection then hopefully repair. Refund has not been given as an option. It's obviously a fault my 6 month old is not heavy enough to cause the problem. Was relieved that it's not an isolated problem as they assured me it was. I have now had to buy a stroller for use during the repair time as how do they expect me to get around with a baby? Only other option was to borrow a stroller from the shop......not an option for me as she sleeps in the pram why should she do this in something we have no idea who has used before us? Would they want to 'borrow' a mattress from a shop whilst waiting for theirs to be delivered....i think not! Shame as apart form this it was a good buy.

"This was great to begin with, however after 6 months"
27-Jun-2009
This was great to begin with, however after 6 months of use the back wheels have completely worn down, a bolt has fallen off the handle and the hood attachment has snapped. Obviously its very cheap for a travel system but in retrospect I'd wish I'd paid more rather than consigning this to land fill and having to buy something new :-(

"My baby is 7 months old and this pushchair has"
24-Apr-2009
My baby is 7 months old and this pushchair has broken. Loved it at first, really lightweight, easy to use. However, the back wheels have worn down so much already and the carry/folding handle number 3 has snapped off. Its in the shop being checked and I have a dodgy loan stroller for few weeks. Hoping for refund rather than replacement as worried same faults would reoccur outside years warranty.

I loved this pushchair, except for the fact that my baby is not yet a year old and already the harness is too tight for her, so I'm going to have to buy another one.

"This is really a great travel system. Not only does"
06-Jun-2008
This is really a great travel system. Not only does it come with a car seat a footmuff you get the Hood and raincover included. It is only £250.00 You can also get a carrycot to to form a pram. It also fold really small which is good as I have a small car.It has a reversible seat unit and it is really easy to recline the seat. Best of all it has a large shopping bag under the seat unit.
