"Wheel fell off…"
We bought a Mylo2 from Mamas and Papas before baby was born. It cost the best part of a grand for the whole thing; with the power of hindsight, it was too much to spend on a pram. We also bought a sling, which has been used far more, meaning the pram has probably been out and about a dozen or so times in 6 months.

To add some balance to this review, before you read ahead, I should say that the Mylo2 is a very decent pram, especially for taller parents. But...

3 weeks ago my wife was taking baby to a halloween party across town, she had to get two trains to get there. As she was switching trains she went to pivot the pram onto its back wheels to get it up onto the carriage - I was at work so wasn't there at the time - and one of the wheels fell off onto the track causing the pram - with my child in it - to jam between the platform and the carriage. Fortunately, the guard was on hand to stop the train from moving, pram and baby were safely removed and when the train had gone the wheel was retrieved from the tracks. My wife and baby were left stranded with a massive shock and a broken pram a long way from home.

When this was relayed to me over the phone I was furious. Having forked out an embarrassing amount of money for what I believed to be the best contraption to transport my child, it turns out the wheel falls off after 5 months of light use putting her in a potentially life threatening position. Admittedly, it could have come off on the steps to the flat or going up a curb etc. and it would have been less dramatic, but still possibly very dangerous.

I contacted customer services, they told me to take it to the shop. I had to ask to borrow a replacement, which they gave me in the end, and two weeks later I got the pram back. But it wasted two sunday mornings of traipsing into town, trying to park, paying to do so, to get the pram back without explanation or apology.

I'm not saying M+P's Mylo is any worse than any other pram - I haven't got the experience to say that, but I would say it isn't worth more than something at a fifth of the price.Read moreLess
"Not fit for purpose…"
I brought the mylo travel system in december 2012 in anticipation for the birth of my son in January of this year. When the item was delivered there we're some plastic tags under the seat that had snapped off, this was the first of many trips and phone calls to mamas and papas. I began using the buggy at the end of January 2013 and by May the front wheel had snapped off!!! Whilst my child was inside might I add but luckily no harm came to him. I went immediately to the store with my 5 month old faulty buggie to which they replaced both front wheels there and then. Then in the beginning of August the same thing happened again, this resulted in me having to carry both my 7 month old son and a broken buggie almost a mile back to the car. I again returned the buggie back to the store and ask for a refund as I have been sold a faulty product that can't even last a year. Not what you'd expect after spending almost £900. It gets worse because returning to the store and requesting a refund they stated the buggie need to go for a service....not even cars need to be serviced every 6 months! I was then provided with a replacement loan buggie, that was not compatable with my car seat, did not face me and my son could not sit up in it as the straps were not suitable for him. When I called the customer care helpline after being on hold for almost 15 minutes I was told that they could not help me, only the store manager could and that I had to wait for a call from them, leaving me housebound with an unsuitable buggie. Everything I have been told so far goes completely against the consumer rights act and I am more than disappointed with mamas and papas and will never be purchasing anything from them again!
I Did not receive a call from mamas and papas liked was promised so went back to the store where they eventually agreed to give me a brand new chasis but could not get a refund or exchange. I have had to accept this as i have no other choice! I also attempted to complete a review on their website and surprise surprise it got rejected.Read moreLess
"Beautifu but dangerous!…"
Please, please, please check your Mylo’s straight away! I tried to post my review on M&P website but it's been "rejected", same as MatildasMumsie's review! How convenient M&P!!
As most of first time mums I've spent ages researching and looking for a perfect pushchair. I fel in love with Mylo from a first sight. It stands out from all other pushchairs in the market plus it's Mamas&Papas, brand you can trust! So you think! I've had great experience and service from M&P until last month when I had to take my Mylo back to the store after discovering that the tube inside the handle is broken and the whole handle comes off. I have no idea how long it's been broken for and how nor when did it happen, as you can’t see the damage from outside. We only discovered the damage as we were adjusting the handles and checking if they're locked, as they seemed loose. At first, it seemed normal, but when we extended the handle to a full length the whole handle on the right hand side came off to our horror and you could see the tube that's inside the handle and which holds the pushchair together snapped in half! I was terrified. It came to my mind what would have happened if we didn't discover this and took our 20 month old son out for a walk or shopping trip. I don't even want to think what could've happened! Imaging going down the escatator in a shopping centre or tube station!! I took the buggy to the store I got it from, complained and requested a refund. I was told that my Mylo has to be sent to the head office first for inspection and that I will be contacted to discuss the outcome before anything was done to my Mylo. The shop assistant even checked my mobile no to be able to contact me even while on holiday. I specifically said that don’t want it repaired. We got a loaner from M&P but I ended up buying my own stroller, as the one we got was terrible, I got blisters on my hands after just one trip to the shops and as we were going on holiday I needed something I could rely on. While on holiday, I received a text from M&P that my Mylo is fixed and I can pick it up! Imagine how confused and angry I was! I decided to wait till we’re back in the UK before contacting M&P as I wasn’t prepared to wait on the lain for half an hour to speak to customer services and end up with huge phone bill. Back in the store I was given fixed Mylo and was told after long discussion, that before they consider an exchange, forget the refund, I would have to risk my baby’s health and safety or his life three times! Don’t get me wrong! It’s great that M&P offers free repairs during guarantee period and I wouldn’t even mind paying if this was something you could see. I still loved my Mylo even though it had quite a few other problems like coming off basket, locking breaks, etc that others also mentioned in their reviews. But this fault is impossible to notice until it is too late! In our case we’ve noticed it before it was too late but I’m scared it will happen again and I’m not willing to take the risk. On every occasion I spoke to M&P, in store, on the phone or e-mail, my concerns are dismissed but no one can guarantee that this will not happen again! When I asked what safety tests are Mylo’s subjected and if the handles are tested too I wasn’t given an answer. And couldn’t find one either… On top of this when I took my “fixed” Mylo out of the car after picking it up from the store, I found out that the locking mechanism doesn’t lock when you unfold it, so that is how they fixed it. Would you put your baby back in this pushchair? I don’t think so! In the end I’m left with a useless and dangerous pushchair that M&P doesn’t want to hear about! So please think twice before you decide to buy Mylo or anything else from M&P. Or in best case scenario you could end up with useless pushchair that you could easily replace, but you could also risk your baby’s safety or even life!Read moreLess

I like my Mylo travel system, although agree that the basket is annoying and the chassis scratches easily.

We have the Aton car seat which is nice and solid (like the rest of the system!) but the suncover is a little small for its purpose. Fits on easily to chassis with an adaptor which is so useful when out and about. I walk my baby a lot so found the carrycot fab but for those who tend to drive to most places, probably not worth it as it is so bulky to get in the car, just having the travel seat and adaptor probably then best.

I like the fact that it is all so 'solid' but this might not be for everyone! I found driving the pram to be like a tank at first but now wouldn't have it any other way. We had to take our chassis back to have the brakes fixed and they lent us a Pilko Pramette as a replacement - horrific! So glad to get my trusty Mylo back...Read moreLess
"I purchased this travel system as it was the premium…"
I purchased this travel system as it was the premium system on offer. Although it looks great I have been disapointed from start to finish with the product overall. Am reviewing on here as cannot review on Mamas and Papas website, also spoken to another disappointed mum who could not review on Mamas and Papas - how interesting?! It is very expensive once all components are included. It turns very well but has no leverage. I had a natural, straightforward birth but did not have the strength to push my daughter in this for a couple of weeks. There is nowhere to lever up and down curbs. Also have had to have replacement storage basket as stitching came undone. Basket is very small and difficult to get in and out of. The braking system on the chasiss broke when my little girl was just 15 weeks old. The guarantee covers repairs, not replacements. chassis also scratches and marks vert easily. Would not recommend this to a friend.Read moreLess
