"Easy to fold, but very heavy."
16-May-2012
This travel system is all right if you have a spacious car. We have to rely on public transport, and I find getting on the bus a hassle just in case there is another buggy already in the bus and we have to fold ours. It's easy to fold but takes a lot of space even when folded.
The car seat that comes with it seems too upright for a newborn.Read moreLessMumsnetter Pekka

"This is a really sturdy pram and has LOADS of"
15-Apr-2012
This is a really sturdy pram and has LOADS of storage space. I used it as a pram with the car seat rather than the cot-style attachment and not only do you have the very large basket, you can also store blankets, coats, slings/carriers etc in the gap between the car seat and the back of the pushchair.
However, as other reviewers have said it is enormous - we've nicknamed it 'The Tank'! It's not the easiest pram to maneuver around shops, it fills the car boot, it takes up a huge amount of space in your house, and getting it up and down stairs is a nightmare (so much so that after one outing on a train I've taken to carrying DD in her carrier instead, purely because of negotiating train station steps). It also doesn't go down well in small cafes...
If you will be 'off-roading' a lot, need to carry a lot with you, and don't need to put it in your car boot often then this is a really reliable travel system and excellent value for money. However if size or weight is an issue then this might not be the one for you. I take public transport a lot and so even though DD is only 3 months old, we're already upgrading to a buggy because we want something lighter and easier to handle.Read moreLessMumsnetter BellaCB

"Not suitable for new borns. Once the car seat is"
28-May-2010
Not suitable for new borns. Once the car seat is put in the car my month old babies head is slupped so far forward someone needs to be sitting next to her to give her head extra support. Other car seats do not force her into this uncomftable position because they are not designed so upright. The pushchair itself seems fine in the short time i've had it. I have contacting graco with my conserns but I am still so unhappy I just want rid of the whole thing. Dont waste your money on this product.

"PROS Very easy to manouvere, and really sturdy. I use"
22-Feb-2010
PROS
Very easy to manouvere, and really sturdy. I use it when we're walking my dog - he pulls like a train and it never feels like it's going to tip over.
The basket is huge, and the back can be lowered so you can get your shopping in and out while the seat is reclined.
CONS
It is huge and heavy. I took it with me when I went to buy a new car and tried loads before I found a car with a boot big enough. My shopping has to go on the back seat.
The front wheel fell off while we were out walking - it took me ages to get home. My husband had a look and the clip that holds the wheel on the axle had rusted completely away - after only 9 months of use. Graco sent me a new wheel, but now the same thing has happened to the other front wheel, and Graco say they will have to come and collect the pram to investigate the problem. So now I'm pramless. Seriously considering ditching it and buying something else.
The carseat is much too upright for a newborn, and also very heavy. It can't be used as a baby carrier to and from the car for long - unless you have arms like Popeye.Read moreLessMumsnetter Ponyclubmum

"This buugy has some very big pros and some very"
19-Feb-2008
This buugy has some very big pros and some very big cons!
BIG PROS The seat is very well padded and super comfy and supportive by far the best i have seen.
The fabric on the seat and cosy toes is good quality and washes well.
The newborn carrycot is very useful to tranfer sleeping newborn and allows you to lay your baby totally flat.
The basket is huge!
The sunshade is excellent and the buggy is easy to fold one handed once you get the hang of it.
It is endlessly adjustable.
It is light to push on roads and pavements.
The car seat and base are fantastic really excellent the best thing I bought.
BIG CONS
It is massive, you cant fit in many small shops or on very narrow pavements. Although I can get it into the boot of my fiesta cant get anything else in with it.
The wheels are no use at all for off road, I have been through three wheels in five months and the lockable swivel wheel has come off.
It is very heavy to lift.
I would recommend it to someone who walks a lot around town or on lots of outings on level paths!
with room to store it. If thats you then go for it, my daughter loves it.Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

I love this pushchair, i agree that it is a little bulky and you need a big boot to fit it in, but having a car seat that plugs straight into the pushchair is great, especially when my baby is sleeping.

07-Jan-2007
Although this is "heavy" and "bulky when folded", "if you've got the boot space it's well worth it". Everyone found it: "extremely comfortable" plus it comes with "lots of wonderful extras such as a movable canopy for shade at any angle". It's sturdy, "brilliant off-road" and "easy" to fold". The car base, which allows you to take your baby from pram to car in a jiffy without disturbing him or fiddling endlessly with seatbelts is a Godsend". "The name might suggest it would be driven by the likes of Schumacher but in reality it's a very safe, comfy place for a baby".

Its a great buy for a travel system cheap and good looking! got all the extras but large frame when getting in and out of single door shops and have to have a large boot to fit it in but great when out walking and comfortable for baby! and car seat can just click in and go with the auto base!

This is a great pram but the only problem is storing it whilst your not using it. It doesn't (like all travel systems) fold very compact. If you have a huge house and plenty of storage space it would be great, but if your like me and just have an average size of house, think carefully where you are going to put it whilst it's not in use!

I think it's a great travel system, but it is rather large, and takes up alot of space in the boot of the car.The shopping basket is fantastic though,as it holds lots, and I like the way you can move the sunshade about,to keep the sun out of little un's faces.Overall I really like it and would recommend it to others.

07-Jan-2007
The car seat easy snap in/out 'autobase' facility is excellent and the soft carrycot insert is great for a young baby. However, the width of the system means it is difficult to negotiate shopping aisles and it is extremely heavy and bulky. It takes up the majority of your boot space.

Excellent for trips to the supermarket with no car. Plenty of understorage space. However, wide berth of pushchair makes it impractical for London buses, as does not fit between the seats!! Also very heavy. Comfy and secure for newborn and older babies though.

07-Jan-2007
This review is for the Quattro TS, not Deluxe system.
The best feature of the Quattro TS is it's folding mechanism. It's click and fold over. You can carry baby in one hand and fold the buggy with the other! Really!
The next best thing is space!
-I go supermarket shopping with baby in buggy - it's got a massive basket.
-My little girl eats and drinks from her front tray - there's enough room for 2 bottles and 1 snack.
-There's also lots of room
Car seat clicks easily, no problems with that.
The travel system is still being used today, 22mths on!
Having said that, it's a little bulky and not very friendly for smaller retail shop use :)Read moreLess"This is robust, quite attractive, seems comfortable and has a"
07-Jan-2007
This is robust, quite attractive, seems comfortable and has a brilliant newborn car seat which is so easy at it clicks in and out of a fixed base. It turns really easily and is surprisingly nippy given its size. The downsides are that it is incredibly heavy and big when folded so getting it in and out of your car is not easy! Don't do it if you've just had a baby! The raincover which supposedly fits it doesn't fit it as it's designed to attach to a pram with rounded tubes not oval ones so keeps popping off. Overall it's a good mid-priced travel system but is just so big when folded. The newborn carry-cot part is lovely but unless your baby is very small it won't last long as it's very compact! The best thing about this is the car seat and the robustness of the whole thing.

Very light on the steering. Great for winter newborn as its really cosy, especially with the snug carrycot. Very verstile, loads of push chair positions and pram alternatives. Excellent value for money. Only downside is the size when folded takes up most of the boot in a renault scenic so not suitable for a small car.

07-Jan-2007
This is a fabulous pushchair in everyway. I know that my precious baby is safe and comfy inside and the carry cot that came with the system was one of the reasons I chose this model and was the best item I could have acquired for those first few months, when you can keep a close eye on your babe whilst walking etc. I only have 2 critisms, 1) it is bulky and takes some getting used to navigating around shopping aisles with products hanging off the shelves and 2) it is heavy to lift in and out of the car. All in all a very good choice (if you have a car).

07-Jan-2007
This Travel system is great for the first 6 months or so, when you are using the car seat and base that comes with the pram. It's really useful being able to tranfer the seat to the pram/car in one easy move. One problem I did have with the car seat is that the angle at which you have to use your wrist to unlock the seat eventually starts to cause pain to the wrist. A few of my friends have found exactly the same problem. The pram is o.k, but bulky and not that easy to steer one handed. It folds easily, but one of the wheels started coming off after 3 months of use, normally when you are trying to load it into the car. But it is comfortable and the trays and shopping basket are good.

The best thing about this travel system is the ease with which you can fit the car seat to the pushchair without waking your baby. It also clips into the base in the ar really easily without fiddling with the seatbelt. The little extras that come with the 'deluxe' add comfort and are definately worth the extra money.

07-Jan-2007
I bought this travel system as a package, and it came with car seat + car seat base, footmuff, carrycot. Excellent value for the £200 that I spent. It manoeuvers very well, and is like a range rover, capable of going on all terrains with ease (grass, sand, pebbles, gravel). Storage compartments are ample - huge shopping basket. Only drawback is that although it is foldable, it still remains rather bulky. It is also heavy.

Great comfortable pushchair, folds with one hand. Manoeuvers really well, big shopping basket. Hood doesn't come off, which I would have preferred but it does fold each way (when baby facing you or the street). Does take up a fare bit of boot space when folded but positives outweigh this

PROS: THE SUSPENSION ON THE WHEELS MAKE IT GOOD FOR ROUGHER TERRAIN FOR PEOPLE WHO LIKE WALKING BUT DON'T WANT A THREE WHEELER (TIP = LOCK THE FRONT LOCKABLE SWIVEL WHEELS!) AND THE SWIVEL WHEELS ARE GREAT FOR MANOEUVERABILITY AROUND THE SHOPS. THE ONE HANDED FOLDING MECHANISM IS FANTASTIC. THE LARGE DROP DOWN SHOPPING BASKET IS GREAT FOR WHEN THE SEAT IS RECLINED AND FITS ALOT IN IT.
CONS: THE CAR SEAT IS QUITE UPRIGHT WHICH MEANS NEWBORNS MAY STRUGGLE TO KEEP THEIR HEADS BACK OCCASIONALLY, HOWEVER, IT IS POSITIONED LIKE THAT FOR SAFETY REASONS SO MAY BE THE LESSER OF TWO EVILS!
IT IS HEAVY, BUT NO MORE THAN THREE WHEELERS AND MANY OTHER TRAVEL SYSTEMS. CHECK IT FITS IN YOU CAR BOOT BEFORE BUYING!Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.
