Computers...
The baby safe seat
1. Is really heavy!!!!!! Really heavy to carry to car and back
2. Again the buckles are really fiddly
3. Baby slumps forward badly when asleep (same with a friend who has the same seat)
Overall not worth the money as far as I am concerned... It looks great and is sturdy is about the only positives from my POV!Read moreLessMumsnetter mindymoo10

I really wanted to write a positive view.... But I'm pretty dissapointed! My review is of the newer Britax B Smart 3
1. The buckles on the pushchair are very fiddly to use (esp if baby is figgiting)
2. The wheel goes off in different directions on shop floors
3. The brake now only works on one back wheel

"We spent ages looking for a buggy before our daughter…"
11-Jul-2010
We spent ages looking for a buggy before our daughter was born and went with the Phil and Ted. It was a disaster, I don't know if it was the model or just our actual buggy but it was all wrong. Worst of all was not being able to see my baby and I was miserable. Second time around we knew what we wanted - a good, safe, sturdy reliable forward and rear facing buggy that would lie-flat but also be what we needed for long walks off road and in parks. The vigour has been absolutely brilliant in every way and I can't recommend it enough. We had the 2009 version that Britax put out without air-filled tyres. It was a very good move - outwardly the wheels look old quite quickly but it is just what happens, they are still in perfect nick and it doesn't affect the performance and you don't have the problem of being out with a laden buggy and a flat tyre! If you want a buggy that does what the Bugaboo does (plus a fully lie-flat seat and the ability to collapse it without taking the seat off!) without the price tag, this is the one to go for. Down side is that it is a bit heavier than other buggies when carting it around all folded up but it is well and truly made up for by how easy and light it is to push.

26-Apr-2010
I was hoping that the new Vigour 3 would have been a lot better than its mother but I was let down. Straight out of the box and the front wheel was broken. Took it back to Mothercare and had to wait for a replacement for a week only to get another one with the same problem. Purchased an alternative product with no issues! Beware

Good all rounder pushchair. I wanted a pushchair I could comfortably run and walk with and have done both (it's now 2.5 years old). Unlike some other 3 wheelers it's not too long - so you can turn it in small spaces, and get on london buses! And it fits into the boot of a micra (with not much else admittedly). Really recommend it - and I got a great deal plus carrycot and carseat online. Never had a puncture (so far). All in all, Great value!

07-Jan-2010
I did a lot of research on travel systems before opting for the Britax Vigour 3 and I'm really pleased with it. Both myself and my husband are tall so the adjusting handlebar is great. Everything slots in to place easily and there's no need for a lengthy instruction manual to get it set up. In fact we didn't need the manual at all! We also bought the carrycot and car seat which we've also used a lot although the carrycot doesn't last too long it's very comfortable and cosy for a newborn!
I wanted a travel system that would withstand rough terrain and the BV3 certainly ticks all the boxes there - we've pushed ours on sand, snow and rough gravel and it's been easy.
My only criticism would be the width, sometimes too wide to get into certain local shops (might be no bad thing) and the waterproof cover is awkward and difficult to fold up once used.
However, I would still fully recommend this system to any tall users who are seeking a durable travel system!Read moreLessMumsnetter Emmaline

"We've got the pushchair, carrycot, car seat and isofix base…"
01-Jan-2009
We've got the pushchair, carrycot, car seat and isofix base (all bought new online but not all from the same place - there's bargains to be had if you look - we saved a fortune by getting the pushchair bit in a discontinued colour) and we've been very pleased with them. The main advantages are that they all clip together very easily and putting the car seat in is a doddle when you can leave the base in place. The wheels are light and fold quite flat but the frame is still fairly wide.
We like the fact that the height of the handle is adjustable - it's ideal for tall people.
We did have some trouble with the wheels initially. The tyres had 35psi written on them and it was only after one of them burst that we found the piece of paper in the instructions telling us that max pressure should have been 20psi. The front tyre is 10 inch diameter, which cycle shops don't seem to stock so we ended up buying new inners online.
We also had some trouble steering the thing but this was fixed by oiling the front wheel. The front wheel can be locked into position if you want to go jogging with the pushchair but most of the time it's not necessary.
Ours has a brake - at the back there's a metal loop that you push down to lock the back wheels.Read moreLess3 people found this review helpful.

I have been using this for 9 weeks now and I think it is great. REALLY easy to push and because the wheels come off easily it will fit into a fairly small boot. I spent a long time looking a which pushchair to get and I am really pleased with my choice.

13-Nov-2007
Easy to fold, light in comparison to others, adjustable handle height, lock or swivel front wheel so small turning circle and easy to push with one hand, can have carrycot, carseat or seat unit on base. The car seat can be used with isofix system which, although expensive, extremely handy!
downsides - quite wide wheel base at rear, carrycot is bulky, but aren't they all!? No brake, we like rambling so brake would have been handy.Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

10-Oct-2007
This is a travel system and a three wheeler. The Britax car seat slots into the frame or you can slot in the carry-cot to make it a pram or the seat to either look forwards or backwards. We tried several travel systems out and this was by far the easiest to slot together, it is also pretty light-weight. The wheels are pneumatic so more comfortable but they can puncture.
