"I bought this pushchair after the wheel fell off my"
14-Apr-2012
I bought this pushchair after the wheel fell off my original pram! My DS2 was only 4 months old and I wanted something that not only folded really small but also was able to parent face. So far I haven't been dissapointed. The stoller is really light to push and is so manoueverable that I can steer it one handed. Yes the frame feels light and not as sturdy as a large pram, but to be honest you would expect this. The seat has three forward facing positions and two parent facing ones, this means that whilst your baby is facing you they can't sit upright, only recline. If you want your lo to be able to sit upright facing you then this isnt the pushchair to buy but for a small baby up to 6 months or so it is perfect. You can also fit a carseat with the adapters included if you wish so it becomes a travel system. The fold and unfold process is a two handed job and the seat unit has to be removed prior to folding but this isn't a problem as its actually really quick and easy to do. My only slight complaint is that the wheels are small and very firm and as a result the stroller can be quite noisy over rough ground, this is definately not an all terrain three wheeler. Over all I love its style and ease of use.

"I think this pram is an absolute waste of money!!"
23-Feb-2012
I think this pram is an absolute waste of money!! I bought it because I needed a smaller pram for my tiny boot. I was disappointed with it from the minute I got it. It feels really flimsy and it is really not tall enough for my husband to use. (I had to lean over a bit as well!)
The MAJOR issue is that because the wheels are so small and because it's a three wheeled pram, it tips over VERY easily. I had the HORROR of going over a kerb and having it tip right over on it's front- smashing my son into the ground and resulting in a smashed up nose and teeth through his lip. It was horrible.
I don't think it maneuvers very well either and I was forever getting stuck on kerbs and on cobblestones. It is NOT worth the money. Get a sturdy 4 wheeled pram with better suspension. I don't want anyone to have to experience what my son had to the other night :(Read moreLessMumsnetter Ltenn81

"I actually find this buggy really easy to manoeuvre, although"
03-May-2011
I actually find this buggy really easy to manoeuvre, although hanging any bags on the back can be quite precarious. The Xtra is a lot better than the simple Zapp as you have the option of the child facing you when in the stroller; the stroller also makes the whole frame a lot sturdier. This is a great travel system for anyone with a small book and the frame folds into such a compact space (I'm always getting looks of amazement when I construct it). The mechanism is a two handed approach but it's not much to ask for the size. It's simple to construct, no need to take wheels off and on. The straps on the stroller are very easy to take up to the next stage. My only vice with this is the shopping bag as it is quite small, but so long as you haven't got the car seat in their, the quinny compatible change bags are very handy.

"I do actually hate reviews written by people who haven't"
05-Apr-2011
I do actually hate reviews written by people who haven't had their baby yet, though I'm adding my own here because there isn't yet a category for this buggy and I'd like to see other people's opinions. We bought it because it is very light, turns on a penny, folds down to tiny proportions (we have a Nissan Micra), and seemed like a cheaper alternative to the Bugaboo Bee Plus, which we would have loved. We got it in the Rebel Red - there are six colours to choose from and they're all nice. It also has car seat adapters for a Maxi Cosi Cabriofix/Pebble, and it is suitable from birth. There is some confusion about this on forums out there - but it IS suitable from birth (lies flat in rear-facing mode). It has two positions in rear-facing mode and three in forward-facing, and it looks like it will last longer than the Bugaboo Bee Plus since it is not quite so tiny. The only downside I can see (or that I have found on other forums) is that you have to remove the fabric part of the pram from the chassis to fold it down. For us that's fine, but I know some mums don't like that option. It was £369 from Mothercare including the car seat and the footmuff, which is much cheaper than the Bugaboo. But it really is light and easily manoeuvrable, and easy to pack up and store.
