"Don't buy this shoddy pushchair"
12-May-2012
What a fashionable piece of tat. Seriously you'd think between the wheel "shimmying" and the frequent frame misalignment that this is a pushchair better consigned to the history books as nice looking but totally useless.
In addition to the above, the following finally convinced me to sell ours:
-wheels and frame don't feel sturdy, making us feel nervous when going up escalators or even pavement ridges.
- no peekaboo window in the canopy. Means I have to stop walking and poke my head round the side of the buggy to check on my baby.
- nowhere to put anything like your mobile etc
- canopy is really small and short and only covers my baby's face. God forbid if I've forgotten the factor 50... He got sunburned legs. :(((
- folds down to about, oh, the size it is fully upright!
- you have to take all the accessories off to fold down fully! This means taking off the cup holder, umbrella etc every time you want to fold it down to the base size.
-you can't walk at anything faster than a slow stroll, otherwise the wheels shimmy.
Entirely useless. Don't buy this just because it looks nice. It is style over substance. Unless of course anyone wants to buy mine?! :)Read moreLessMumsnetter HKJ79

"I researched travel systems extensively to find one that was"
13-Jan-2012
I researched travel systems extensively to find one that was light, easy to turn in a small space and could fit into a relatively small car boot. The bee fitted these criteria (the only other major contender I had at the end was the icandy cherry) and seemed to be much smaller overall than most other systems.
I initially used it with either a maxicosi car seat or the newborn cocoon in. Very happy with both. The cocoon kept my baby so warm and comfy. At about 3mo he started wanting to sit up so I propped him up in the seat in a reclined position still in the cocoon which worked fine. Now he is just in teh buggy bit (6mo) and appears fine. THe basket is a pretty good size compared to others. Rain cover is easy to put on but a bit annoying to control when not being used! Only real downside is that the whole thing is much heavier with the main seat on, but still lighter than virtually every other system. Would highly highly recommend the bee to anyone, including the newborn cocoon. I haven't got the footmuff, bought a cheaper generic one which is fine. I got some plastic hooks off the internet to hang bags on etc over the handlebar which works brilliantly.Read moreLessMumsnetter Portlypenguin

"I have to say I really can't fault this pram"
24-Oct-2011
I have to say I really can't fault this pram as it delivers everything that I wanted out of one. I wanted something light and easy to manoeuvre and quick and easy to fold up and down and lift in and out of my car and I find it is great for these features. It's not a great big robust tank of a pram and I know some people do prefer something a bit more "solid" but that was what I didn't want myself. It's the pram I have brought for my third dc and it's the best one I have owned (have been through white a few!). With my other two I started using a cheap-ish stroller at 6 months but with the bugaboo bee I know I will use this the whole time my dc3 needs one and won't need a replacement. Plus, it looks great (to me!) - nice and stylish so always a bonus!

"The Bugaboo Bee 2011 is now known to have a"
12-Oct-2011
The Bugaboo Bee 2011 is now known to have a serious flaw in the front wheels, which is explained on their website. The website says that this is a safety risk. We have had a shocking time with our shimmying front wheels, and have sometimes had to push the buggy for whole journeys just on the two back wheels. Like another reviewer said, it is like wheeling a busted supermarket trolley. When I contacted Bugaboo to complain, they offered to send a repair kit (we have yet to receive it and see if it works). They completely ignored my suggestion that some sort of compensation was due to us for having lived for months with a pushchair that ruined numerous outings and which by their own admission posed a safety risk to our baby. They also did not respond to my suggestion that, having registered our pushchair with them when we bought it, we should have been informed of the fault rather than having to discover it through our own research. I am not at all impressed with the company, and would certainly never buy a Bugaboo product again.

"If I were being fair the bugaboo bee has both"
07-Oct-2011
If I were being fair the bugaboo bee has both good and the not so good attributes. Aesthetically, I think the bee is very pleasing with good additional accessories like the cocoon/nest for newborns. There is a color choice to suit all. Functionally, the bee is a breeze to collapse and fold up alike. The steering can be off at times, with the front wheels having a mind of there own. The bee is probably the most versatile of all the bugaboo's being the smallest in the range, therefore its easy to just pop in the boot and take anywhere. The bee is heavier than it looks, Living on a first floor I carry mine every day, and am surprised at how weighty it is for a fold up buggy. That said, I think the good outweighs the bad and I would purchase a bee again.

03-Oct-2011
We've had our Bee for 16 months and I'd really recommend them for city dwellers. It's really light and practical for squeezing on and off buses (if they stop in the first place!). My only complaint would be that it was pretty stiff to fold up and down, but with use it's loosened. It's also a good buy for both newborns and toddlers.

02-Oct-2011
I've had the bee now for 8 months and live in a 3rd floor flat in London. I find it very easy to push and manouevre. I loved using the cocoon and felt that it was essential I have just ordered the footmuff. The only complaints I have are that I thought it would be lighter than it is and find it very bulky when folded.

Awful Pushchair
I am so unhappy with this pushchair. We bought it from John Lewis, as we wanted something light and easy to use on public transport and have peace of mind. It is certainly light, but that is pretty much the only good thing abut it. The steering is horrendous, when you stop for any reason, the front wheels seem to become stuck and I am constantly having to kick them back into place. The wheels are always sticking and it is a real nuisance. I also find it very hard to steer, I am constantly having to counter-steer it. I took it back to John Lewis who said I has a faulty pram, provided a new one. However, 3 weeks after this, I am having all the same problems again. I'm now being given a Bugaboo All black special addition. Essentially it is like a rubbish shopping trolley. At around 500 pounds, and with the reputation of Bugaboo I expected something a lot better. Watch this space for an update review of the new one.Read moreLessMumsnetter Jolly80

30-Aug-2011
Excellent little piece of kit. If you want small and lightweight this is it. It's great in a town, shops etc. Rubbish on anything remotely stoney - i have to turn it round a pull it. For me, there is no one buggy that does everything but this really is good in a city; it's also small when packed up. As my girls have got older they have looked rather large in it (I have very tall children, so a 4-5yr old size child not walking so much (as she's only just turned 3)sat in it) - but she's happy enough. I've loved the facing me seat, has really helped with number 2 who can see the chat between me and number 1 child. All in all, great.

"I wouldn't normally post on boards like this but given"
29-Aug-2011
I wouldn't normally post on boards like this but given how bad our experiences with the bugaboo bee have been I feel it is important to warn other people about this stroller.
The front wheels constantly jam in awkward positions. The makes it impossible to turn the pushchair in the direction you want. This has not been fixed by a new chassis or new wheels supplied by bugaboo (ie a completely new stroller).
It turns out that I am only one of many people that are having the same problem. It appears that this is a design fault in the 2011 bugaboo plus stroller.
Bugaboo have now recognised that this is a problem but as yet have no solution. See http://www.bugaboo.com/323
If you are having the same problem then these websites of similarly disgruntled customers may be useful.

"Didnt get this one to start with had 2 before"
19-Aug-2011
Didnt get this one to start with had 2 before a britax B Smart 4 lovely but too wide and too heavy, then a baby style oyster horrid horrid thing
Wish i had got this from birth and the only thing that stopped me was it doesnt have a carrycot. I know it has a caccon thing but realy I live in lancashire it cold here in winter I mean realy cold and didnt want my winter arrival to freeze in the -10oc weather. If she was a summer baby it wouldnt have mattered.
I have since found out that u can fit a micralite toro or quinny dreami carrycot on the car seat adaptors if Id have known that I wouldnt have wasted my money on the first two.
Anyway the bee + fab pram, lies flat-
very comfy seat, mulitiple handle heights, faces you and the world, is travel system, nice and light and skinny fits through any door way havent gone anywhere I cant fit. Doesnt take up all the boot. Folds small and eaisily. Not as small as a maclaren but small for a pram.
Can use as a pram as detailed eariler.
Can fold with the seat in either direction. Folds with the seat on or off.can use the car seat with the seat on which is handy dont have to keep putting it on and off and on and off.Rain cover is good quality and does the job. Seat extends from newborn to toddler so your baby doesnt look lost in a big seat. Even took it on holiday on the beach and was great.
Down sides the hood is a bit flimsy and thin needs to be better quality for a pram this expensive, canvas or fleace like the cam. Bugaboo need to get there act together and make it a proper carrycot so you dont have to rely on other brands. Could do with a bumper bar. can do a front wheel shimmy if you have too much weight on the back or a heavy handed husband but I am ordering a kit from bugaboo to fix this for free the pram that is not the husband. All in all wish I had got this the first time as I dont think I will be getting the maclaren out of the loft that I had for my first when she got to toddler age think this will do nicely till shes no longer in a pram.My husband says i love this pram more than him ha ha just wish it was cheaper.Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

"I bought this buggy new in June 2008 for newborn"
04-Jul-2011
I bought this buggy new in June 2008 for newborn DS1 and loved it. Easy to push, lies flat, snug, etc.
Unfortunately in the last 6 months (since I started using it mainly for DS2 and just out of warranty) the handle clips on both sides have broken which means that the height adjuster is knackered and requires duct tape to stop it sliding about. This is (according to a quick Google) not an uncommon problem.
Nothing I can do it seems apart from buying a whole new chassis which just isn't going to happen.
Not impressive - especially for the money.
Bugaboo customer services also pretty hopeless and unwilling to help. Wish I had known.Read moreLessMumsnetter tallbirduk

I agonised over which buggy to get, scrutising all the reviews and testing the patience of the staff at John Lewis. We finally ended up with the Bugaboo Bee and I'm really pleased with it. Have been using it for 18 months now and it's still going strong. Minor niggles are: the straps can be a bit of a faff and the design makes it difficult for someone to carry the front of the buggy without hurting their hand. That said, I really enjoy using it and would thoroughly recommend it.

28-Apr-2011
I've had mine for 3 years and love it. It's easy to push and steer with 1 hand. It can face you or forward and after a few practices (and being shown by another mum) it was easy to flip around (as long as it was not too laden down with bags). My DD loved being able to see me even when she was over 6 months. I found the cupholder and sunshade the most useful accessories. Only complaint is that she outgrew it when she was 2 1/2 and we had to get a small lightweight buggy as she was not ready to walk all over town. The wheels do make a squeaky sound after a while and are expensive to replace.

Love it. Brilliant in London as small, light, east to manoeuvre. Great when out and about.
Only downside is that DS is 5.5 months and is already getting big for it. He's a big baby but will be out of it by about 1 year I reckon so a bit disappointed with that. It's quite narrow for him.Read moreLess2 people found this review helpful.

"Thought long and hard about the buggy. Initially, I had"
27-Mar-2011
Thought long and hard about the buggy.
Initially, I had my heart set on a Cameleon as a number of people at work recommended it. I was a little bit worried about the cost too.
We 'tested' some of the push chairs in John Lewis, and the Bugaboo's are lighter and more maneuverable than the others. The downside of the Cameleon is that you have to take it apart to fit it in the boot, whereas the Bee just folds up. It fits into the boot of our 3 door Polo.
The Bee is ideal for city living.
Pros:
- Small (fits on buses with ease)
- Lightweight (but doesn't feel cheap)
- Maneuverable
- Durable (I've had no issues with anything breaking)
Cons:
- Cost
Folding and adjusting the pushchair can take some time getting used to. But once you get the knack, it's easy to use. I would highly recommend that you get someone to demo this to you. Having said that, we tend not to fold it down. My wife uses the buggy on buses in the city, or we use a Baby Bjorn for short trips in conjunction of the car seat for visits.Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

21-Mar-2011
This small buggy is great for use in the city: it gets onto buses easily, fits down tight shopping aisles and is easy to manoeuvre. It also easily fits into the boot of our VW Golf. One small downside is that you cannot detach the top (as you can with the Bugaboo Chameleon carrycot for example) to take the sleeping baby into a room when visiting friends. But it's so small that it's usually easy to take the whole buggy indoors anyway.

"I bought the Bee because of all the reviews and"
24-Feb-2011
I bought the Bee because of all the reviews and as a second choice as I couldn't get hold of Baby Jogger anywhere.
I genuinely think I have a different pushchair from the one that everyone raves about! I found it awful in so many ways.
Very hard to fold down - you have to use two hands and despite returning it and receiving a replacement, I still found it stiff to fold down and regularly one of the struts holding the canvas would pop off! It got to the point where I couldn't ever fold my chair down when out and about
Folds up small but doesn't stay together so constantly reopens when you fold it, as yet haven't found a way to stop this from happening
Lightweight yes, but to the point where it feels flimsy and you are scared that bits will snap off
Foot rest regularly jams and doesn't fold down properly so have to play around with it to get it straight
It is supposed to be for up to toddler but at nine months my average size child was having to be stuffed into it and her legs were hanging out and practically dragging on the floor! No way would this have lasted until she was a toddler
All the accessories are very expensive. First time I used the raincover, my daughter shoved her foot through it and it tore like paper. Everything else costs a lot as well
Good points...
It is small so you can get into tight spaces very easily
It is lightweight to carry and move
It has quite a large basket
I really would NOT recommend this pushchair. Get a Baby Jogger instead! A third of the price, sturdy, easy to fold down and a pleasure to use.Read moreLess2 people found this review helpful.

"I have had a relationship with bugaboo bee now for"
03-Feb-2011
I have had a relationship with bugaboo bee now for 6 months and this is my second review the first was from birth.
I will have to start with the slight problem areas or shortcomings. It is generally a very adaptable little number. It can morph into so many new ways adapting with our sons growth. but why can i not fit snow wheels to this city slicker? we can't both my partner and I looked on longingly during the snow fall at great big boofer doofer monster wheels with envy and a sunday morning sigh. yes we are that childish. Shame, would be handy as other buguboo models do. Collapsing and dismantling is still a little jerky and can result in frustration if in a dash as you fight to line up the white locks not realizing you have to adjust the seating to the smallest size first and then collapsing the frame. I put the seating round to face out, so that my son could face the world
rather than my huffing face straining into aerobics
up hills at 6 months just like the magazines say and the whole pram seamed easier in this position which is most probably down to weight distribution rather than the very fashionable merchandizing 'ergonomics' tag that so many products seem to have at the moment. I have a bucket that cost me £20 quid at John Lewis's that tells me its ergonomically designed ! its still a bucket. Like your womb? well do you want to think of your womb as a bucket? is the first thought, anyway I digress.
The Bugaboo bee plus is good solid New York tested piece of road equipment for any new ma to own with pride you know your in good hands we truck around happily every day clocking in our butt burning miles. I would rather push my boy over a hill through a park everyday than catch a bus, which is a good thing. Its durable and once you buy the adapters to fit your baby seat, collapsing and assembling the pram frame takes on a new dimension of smooth hydraulics.
We are like well worn in lovers now. The early thrill and chase has been replaced by a day to day silent compatibility. With a bit of give and take I know I can rely on its sunny yellow disposition to take me, and my child from A to B without any fuss acquiescing to our everyday needs. Wish all our relationships were as sturdily reliably the same.Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

"I hate my bugaboo bee. I have the first model"
03-Feb-2011
I hate my bugaboo bee. I have the first model and understand that it has been greatly tweaked since then but I've had it two years and it's had to have three major repairs (one new seat unit, two new frames) and yesterday the back wheel fell off!
I bought it because I liked its looks, it was parent facing and it was lightweight. The weight was very important to me because I have to lug it up and down five stairs to my front door. This is what did for the handle which turned into a trombone slide. Bugaboo consider that bumping a buggy with a baby in it up a few steps is not reasonable usage. The new model has a ratchet system in to cope with this problem.
I would advise parents to steer clear of buying a second hand, older model bee (one without notches along the side of the handlebar uprights.Read moreLess2 people found this review helpful.

"It is the best pram for the city as it's"
13-Jan-2011
It is the best pram for the city as it's small so you can get anywhere, especially crowded London. I got all the cocoon, footmuff, cup holder, car seat... haven't got the parasol as it's not summer yet. The coocon is a must when the baby is under 6 month. I agree that it's all too expensive but try to search on the internet for the best price and you can call Mothercare, they have the Price Match scheme so they will lower their price. Buy from them for a better customer service in case anything goes wrong. The only down turn is the strap. It's OK when he is 3 month old but before that he is too tiny to be strapped in and even the cocoon seems to be big. At that young age I found the car seat is a lot better though. By 6 month he is definitely ready to change into the footmuff. Anyway, very happy with the Bee.

Love it, you can't go wrong with this excellent buggy.
It will last you forever too, so think the price is justified - many friends have had to buy another buggy when baby turns into toddler as their previous one has been too bulky or just fallen apart.
Don't buy the cocoon, just get the footmuff which does the same and will last much longer.Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

"I have the original Bugaboo Bee (not the + which"
14-Dec-2010
I have the original Bugaboo Bee (not the + which was released in 2010) and I LOVE IT!
Comfort - our baby was very very small when born, but seemed comfy enough in the bee straight away, even if we had to move the headrest down a bit to support her. We use the cocoon (and did so in the summer when she was born, just undone, to pad the seat) and now it keeps her toasty warm in this cold weather.
Durability - we've only had it 5 months now, but have not had any problems so far <fingers crossed>
Functionality - it lies flat, it can sit up and face parent or face the world, which were all really important selling points for us. I'm very glad I chose a buggy that lies flat but parent facing (unlike a maclaren, for example) as I think I would hate not being able to see my newborn's face. It also folds all in one piece - crucial if you need to fold it on the bus, for example (other prams/buggies out there will only fold in two parts - wheels/chassis in one part and having to detach the pram/seat unit in the other). The extendable handle is brilliant too, as my DH and I are very different heights.
Manoeuvrability - the best thing about the Bee is that the swivel wheels make it sooo easy to manouvre, especially in tight spots like shops and on buses. It's great for the city, as other posters said. I imagine it would be a dream for cities like London and getting on the tube. It's not managed so well with the snow (although the locking wheels feature helped) but I don't know how other bigger buggies will have coped with the snow.
Portabilty - very light, folds fairly small for the boot, takes up hardly any room in the house.
Value for money - ok, it's expensive but in my opinion, totally worth it. The accessories are expensive (e.g. cocoon, foot muff) but places like John Lewis will sell universal footmuffs at a fraction of the price if you want to save some money. The sun canopy is essential - it protects your little one from the wind and sun (and the rain with the rain cover) but accessories like the cup holder are a waste of time. We swithered about buying the car seat clips but have found them to be very handy (when going to the supermarket for example) and are very easy to use.Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

12-Dec-2010
I love my bee and wouldn't be without it. After twins last time (in a Maclaren) it seems comparatively small and light and easy. A friend had one stolen outside her nursery -- awful and perhaps testiment to their popularity.
I like their stylish look an colours -- I went for the khaki green (what did they call it -- olive?'. Have had it 2.5 years now. They had a fault when I first got them but did sort out for free.Read moreLessMumsnetter sassymay

"The bugaboo bee 2010 is an ergonomic dream to look"
15-Sep-2010
The bugaboo bee 2010 is an ergonomic dream to look at. We had the pleasure of its company way before we got to use it at the beginning of July. It sat in our corridor all trust up with baby cocoon and sun canopy in place awaiting my 'baby cocoon' to 'give way' and our son to be born. We were dying to take him for a bugaboo whirl but found despite his birth size of 9.5 pounds that he disappeared in this modern bugaboo craft like a small beetle in a golden egg. Basically he was to small and delicate to strap in as the baby cocoon demands and really was not comfortable
until at least 1 month old.
The straps are necessary for safety but a little cumbersome when taking a small baby in and out. A velcro adhesive inside that sticks to a baby gro blanket would be more manageable. I found I would always have to wake him up, to
get him in and out and strapped up, and once caught his skin on the clasp as he wriggled about, which on even the chubbiest thigh has to be very painful!
The suspension is great and you have to really get to grips with it to fully appreciate how it curbs on corners like a pro skater on ice, if your
new to the bugaboo bee like me, the best practice
place to feel like a sussed bugaboo driver is in the super market, it will make your supermarket trolly feel like a tin can train set. It turns 360 and
swerves and glides down tight spots so effortlessly that woe betide the bugaboo bee 2010 in an airport lounge, yes you will dance your child like a proud 1950s ballroom dancer
to check inn. This suspension is sometimes less
appreciated on the cobbled old streets of London town skidding and bouncing and swerving sometimes "off piste" so pull the locks on the front wheels to tame the beast.
The underneath storage is some what lacking, you have to prize your bag with shopping, goods etc. out like pulling the entrails out of a fish, its a tug of war basically. Maybe a side access would be more civilized.
Its modest but adaptable size means its great on
the british buses and most modes of transport I
found I could squeeze into most spaces without
causing too much disruption, snug as a bug in a rug as they say.
The collapsing and re assembling is a little volatile. One time you will do it almost! brilliantly and the next time, usually when trying to show someone or show off, it will jam somewhere, I went into town with one side lopsided and my son staring at me strangely as we appeared to be sliding down on one side, watch out for this with the coloured green markers on either side to help indicate when you have not got both sides even when assembling quickly.
All in all, so far? Two months in its great. Its light
enough to carry off and on a bus if there are no helpers to be found and up a flight of stairs. Its
front handle bar clicks to whatever hight you are that day,and your small or tall partners feel included.
The colours available are great fun as well, allowing you to strut to Hampstead Heath with pride as you meet a hive of other bugaboo strollers at the entrance, like a group of off roading Harley Davidson bikers reving their engines.
Yes its a bit heavy on the wallet, but the accessories are worth it, we are looking for the
off road wheels now (hard to get the accessories easily here yet, John Lewis, Mothercare etc. are all pretty limited ) oh and the coffee cup holder, and
the iphone holder...Yes you may think thats too much! geeky gadgetry but when you answer the phone whilst pushing the stroller off road and trying to drink your coffee, it will all make sense.
Welcome to the 21st century...you have caught the' bug'.Read moreLess4 people found this review helpful.

"love this buggy. pros- lighweight, very easy to manoeuvre in"
10-Sep-2010
love this buggy.
pros- lighweight, very easy to manoeuvre in the city/shopping malls, very pretty, comfortable, baby able to lie flat, extendable for taller toddlers, durable, easyish to fold/open(compared to cameleon)
cons- expensive, does not handle well off road eg beach, uneven grass(not meant to anyway), could do with bigger storage space
would def recommend this buggy.Read moreLessMumsnetter sputnikswan

"This is the new Bee that was released in Apr"
29-Aug-2010
This is the new Bee that was released in Apr 2010. We've been using it for 4 months and love it! Although expensive at £460, it's worth it if you want a rear facing push chair usable from birth. This new model of Bee is extendable lengthwise (seat & chair) so can be used until your toddler is about 3 yrs old (vs old one that would only realistically suit until 2 yrs old). Initially thought the seat was a little too low but didn't bother us once we started using. One hand operation, very light and easily maneuverable. There's a knack in pushing the seat forward to fold (release half the lever). Bugaboo accessories are expensive but the breezy sun canopy for £50 was really worth it for us, no need to use baby cocoon, our baby was born in Apr and used without cocoon or padding over the summer. Just bought the foot muff but instead of the Bugaboo one for £90, we purchased the John Lewis one for £15 which fits fine. And for £30, there is a adapter to be able to add the maxi cosi car seat onto the frame but we didn't get it and thinking back, would not have used it even if we got it as it's not good to keep your baby on a car seat for extended periods anyway. Can do with more space on the basket but can always hang a few bits & pieces on the handle. Light enough to carry it up a flight of stairs if necessary, and small enough folded up to go into our small boot space in our car. Our baby is very happy in there, and often fall asleep. All in all very satisfied and we are hoping that this 1 pushchair will last us through our next baby (and even the 3rd) as well.

"This is brand new - and this review is based"
03-Jun-2010
This is brand new - and this review is based on my very first impressions with little use so far (I'll come back and review again after a few weeks use).
This pushchair feels very solid and durable - it is ergonomic and after a brief read of the instructions was easy to use. There is a knack to putting the seat back all the way forward for folding mind - you need to fully recline the seat first - release and re-grip the white recline mechanism - half way release and pull seat all the way forward(it may take a few trys until you are used to it).
I did not enjoy assembling the canopy myself - thankfully this only has to be done once. The canopy is lovely - and I do think it's fab that on the new 2010 version you can buy canopys separately to change the colour of your buggy!
I LOVE the seat on this buggy - it is very comfortable and ergonomic for your child - the seat extends at the back - so will accommodate a large pre-schooler now - my 2y old actually looked quite small in it when I fully extended the seat - but it made a huge comfy place for him to lay for a nap - and the canopy would shield his eyes from the sun quite adequately - I wouldn't feel the need for the breezy canopy for a toddler in the UK summer.
The raincover looks very thin - granted that will make it lightweight for transporting - but it does not look or feel strong or durable - disappointing given the product price. I will probably get a black clippasafe buggy cape and use that instead on wet days (given the age of my child).
The suspension and handling of the stroller is fabulous - as is the height adjustable handlebar - although the foam grips on mine are off-side by and inch - strange for such a expensive stroller - makes no difference to performance - but perfection is expected at this price!
It's definitely a city stroller - I'm sure it will handle mown grass also - but I won't be using this one at the beach or in the woods.
It is great for public transport and doesn't take up much storage space when folded.
The harness is made of quality fabric - and I love how it adjusts so easily. You cannot use "off the shelf" liners or buggy snuggles easily though - best to get custom made or bugaboo own products, this is to do with the waist straps and how the harness "grows" with the seat back and your child!
I will really get a LOT of enjoyment using this product with my child - I really like to make sure his needs are well catered for if he is going to have to sit in a buggy for some time while we get from A to B or while out shopping - he is going to do it in comfort - it makes for a happier kid and less stress for me!
I bought this on sale (20% off) - I would not have bought at full price as it was just too expensive - I do feel this product is better than the top of the range premium umbrella fold though - based on the comfy ergonomic seat - quality fabrics use - unique and user-friendly frame design, high quality wheels, suspension that works really well, accessible shopping basket - canopy and also - not forgetting STYLE - which was the least important factor on MY list I have to say! It is without doubt stylish.
The buggy is a bit heavier than I anticipated - but it is very durable - and solid feeling - I could still manage to carry over a railway bridge - or onto a bus easily.
The pushchair does fold with seat in reverse position - but - it is quite hard to pop up again - your foot keeps catching the seat front instead of the brake that you are meant to be pushing down on with your foot - unless you have dainty shoes on (I don't!).
It is easier to pop up and down with seat facing away.
The seat is easy to turn around a useful feature to have.
overall fairly goood value for money when you consider all the unique plus points it has over it's competitors in the market.
If you are going to use your pram/buggy a lot - it's worth having one you will enjoy using regularly and make life easier for yourself!Read moreLessMumsnetter Multimummy

"Definitely an improvement on the original bee which had a"
04-May-2010
Definitely an improvement on the original bee which had a small seat with not enough head room.
new version is still super light, and tiny folded, has a nifty extending seat which gets longer at the bottom and on the backrest, making it big enough for even an older toddler. Its still gorgeous to push, even with a child who is approaching the weigh limit at 16kg (limit is 16.9kg) and DD is an average 3.9yo child, and fits comfortably in the seat with headroom to spare. Only quibble is the hefty price tag, you don't get much for your money, but bugaboo really hold their resale value, so you will recoup at least half what you pay if you sell in good condition.
So really, it will only cost you half the purchase price, a bit like an investment!Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.
