Babystyle Oyster

Bought this with the carry cot to use from birth as allegedly doesn't go quite flat enough for tinies although doesn't look any less flat than those that are. Carrycot was fine but nothing to secure baby in it so she did seem to rattle about a bit. The fixings that attach it to the chassis broke after about 4 months daily use but were swiftly replaced by manufacturer.

Carrycot / car seat (with maxi cosi adapters / seat unit all very easy to change on and off. Chassis folds nice and compactly and does so with seat unit attached (its really quite small when seat unit forward facing). Height adjustable handle good for variable height users. I can easily push this with one hand round the supermarket and carry a basket in the other.

On the down side I had the 'plush' upholstery and it hasn't worn all that well. Basket is small but not much smaller than most.

LOVE IT!! Simple to fold though it folds into a cube shape sort of so will take up half your boot, more with the carrycot probably. Seat unit folds with chassis. Chassis is sturdy and stylish. Toddler was heavy when she used this but the chassis didn't bend with the weight (like our last pushchair).

Had a problem with the front wheels, the loosened and came off in the street. Phoned emailed babystyle and got a quick reply. Lovely company to deal with and they sent two replacement wheels that have been designed differently, something wrong with original design but problem is sorted now.

Basket is large and easy to get to with seat unit. Love the little extras you get with the pushchair such as the UV/bug net, raincover, apron and extendable hood. Super padded and very comfy, daughter tries sitting in it even though she no longer requires a pushchair. Looks amazing and is so easy to steer, just glides along.

Only real problem we had was that the shoulder straps aren't that long and so were quite tight. Not great for big coats in Winter. However we took the extra seat liner (comes with colour packs in the chosen colour, or black with the standard pack) and that solved the problem for us more or less. Side straps were otherwise generous.

Love this pushchair, love the colour packs, love the design and my daughter and I feel good using it. Can't fault this pushchair as all problems were dealt with easily, really impressed with the customer service and wish I had bought this pushchair sooner. Feels and looks like great quality despite the relatively low price. Will definetly be buying the carrycot and adaptors for this pushchair for our baby due in Oct.

I want to love this product, but the problem with collapsing the chassis has ruined it for me.

Advantages:

-Small so easy to manoeuvre and fold into car.

-Easy to swap carrycot, seat unit & car seat.

- Adjustable handle (good for taller people!).

Disadvantages:

-Although helpful on the phone, as the manufacturer, they are not obliging when it comes to problems with the buggy and leave you to battle with the supplier.

-Problem collapsing chassis, no replacement was offered when taken for inspection - extremely inconvenient.

-Stitching easily came away on seat unit cover, had to ask for replacement.

- Small basket underneath and difficult to access when carrycot/seat unit/ car seat in place.

- Some companies do not give refunds for Babystyle items (e.g. Bambino Direct and affiliated companies).
