"Serves a purpose but better doubles are out there.…"
11-Jan-2013
Our Sport came from a friend who bought it new in 2009. It has been useful as a double, but there are too many annoying design features for me to give it more than 3 stars. The recline, fold, harness and hood depth are all awkward compared to the bugaboo single we have, although I have got used to them. I like the fact the second seat reclines but my (small) son was too tall to fit under it by about 2 1/2. There's no storage when a double so I had to buy the pannier bags which make it wide. The air filled tyres are a pain but also make for easy pushing on rough ground.
I have found cleaning it a nightmare. The fabrics are hard to remove and aren't supposed to be machine washed so I have had to hose the mud off.
The cocoon was outgrown very quickly . Overall I'd say it's fine as a second hand stopgap but I'm sure there are better options out there.Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

"A great pram - used it for over 5 years…"
10-Jan-2013
I have three children and bought the P & T when my eldest was 2, and have used it almost every day since.
It is easy to push, I have often pushed it one handed with two children it in and holding the hand of the third and found steering even one handed steering very easy.
I would agree with previous reviews that the baby grew out of the cocoon part at about 4 months (and all mine were small babies), but until then we found that the swinging movement helped to sooth them to sleep as we walked down the road.
We made sure that we got the mud guards for the tyres to protect little fingers from poking, and I got used to checking that heads were inside the pram on the way through doors.
Being narrow it was great on London buses and trains.
It is a little heavy to lift but I never found it a problem to lift in and out of the car boot (or to fold up, I did make sure that no one else did it for me and the children were out of the way as when it folds it the weight makes it fold quickly and I wanted all fingers out of the clasp)
After 5 years the basket had split and dragged on the floor until I sewed it up and we did have one tyre burst after leaving an over inflated tyre in the car on a hot day. Ebay and halfords were good for getting cheap inner tubes, but we only had three puncture over the years.
I finally put it away (in the loft as I love it to much to get rid of it) as my 7 year old and 5 year old kept trying to climb into the second seat on the way home from school, and while they could still fit in (and the pram was still able to push) I thought that at their ages they should be walking.
I have only given it 4 stars as I am sure there are improvements that could be made and that other prams as just as good now, but have never regreted buying it at all.Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

"it's ok…"
30-Aug-2012
the baby seat is too shoogly for my DD, and as she outgrew the cocoon within a couple of weeks, she hasn't been in the pushchair much. nearly 3 year old DS loves sitting up high on the top seat, but is getting too long for it due to the positioning of the metal bar at the top. It has loads of room for shopping without the baby in it though!
overall, we like it, but suspect that there are better doubles out there.Read moreLess3 people found this review helpful.

"Did the job well, but I like the newer version better…"
15-May-2012
I am doing this review after four years of daily use of my Phil and Teds Sport.
It was bought because I had my two boys only 12 months apart.
Pros:
narrow
easy to fold
easy to adjust handlebar
carries two children of different sizes well
basic frame is robust
can carry tons of shopping
Cons:
tyres needed replacing early on
basket whacks on pavements and needs replacement
cocoon only ever lasts til 4 months with any baby
the system of 4 separate straps is a nightmare - trying to delve the straps out from underneath baby or toddler to do them up has had me cursing hundreds of times. The ones on the newer version are much better.
the fabric strips snapped off the zips very quickly
the baby in the back can touch the spokes of the wheels while they are going round
it tips if the front child gets out before the back child, leaving the back child tipping backwards in the pushchair and whacking their heads on the groundRead moreLess2 people found this review helpful.

"When I first bought by Phil and Teds sport 2…"
29-Nov-2011
When I first bought by Phil and Teds sport 2 years ago on the birth of my second child, I thought it was brilliant. 2 years on and with a 3rd child in toe I have really fallen out of love with it. I am using it more than ever at the moment and a there are a few real problems that I've found.
The biggest problem is the stability when used in toddler/toddler mode. It's downright dangerous. Twice now my babies head has hit the ground when my toddler has got out of the front. They say you must always have a child in the front if you have one in the back but this is just so impractical and in the heat of the moment you don't always remember. Arriving at the park and having to swap your baby into the front is a real pain. If you put the heavier child in the back then the whole thing feels unbalanced anyway and there is no room for their feet and shopping.
We have also had no end of problem with the wheels and tyres. As well as multiple punctures we have actually had the wheel rim melt in the boot of the car on a hot day and had to replace the wheel.
There are always arguments about who sits in the front and the child in the front can't have the seat reclined without seriously restricting the space for the child in the back.
The buggy is heavy to lift into car and actually not that manoeuvrable when you've got two in there.
Yes I really don't like this pushchair. I have decided to buy an out and about nipper 360 double to see me through my final year of double buggy use. I hope this is much much better.Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

31-Oct-2011
Made up with our Phil and Teds buggy. Its fantastic and the best that we could find for a toddler and a baby at the same time. Really easy to manoeuver round the shops and on the grass in the park. Allthough they are reasonably expensive they hold their value really well so we sold ours on for not much less than we paid new. The only issue i has is it is quite heavy to get in and out of the car.

do not buy a V2 sport, phil and teds are worst for customer service once 1 year warranty has run out, I had to have all fabrics replaced under warranty some parts more then once and the reflective piping the reflective stuff started peeling off just as the warranty was out (but remember my covers were less then a year old after replacement) and it is unsafe for baby but phil and teds refuse to acknowledge this and replace or refund and I am left with an unsafe buggy for the last year or so as I can not afford to spend that sort of money again just to throw this one out. very unhappy.

16-Dec-2010
This is a very expensive pram, but if you can afford it, it is the best solution I have found for two kids. Mine are now 18 months and 3 and a half and I still use it sometimes.
It is massive and can be cumbersome, I don't drive so you can imagine the looks I get on the bus, but it fits on and where there's a will there's a way!
It is also heavy pushing uphill - if you have big kids that is, but all in all what else can you expect? For transporting two small humans safely and comfortably, especially if you do a lot of walking, I don't think it can be beaten. The build quality is high, it is great on all surfaces, very safe, flexible for different ages and sitting positions, and relatively easy to manoeuvre around shops.Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

"My boys are 15 months apart, and I have nothing…"
07-Dec-2010
My boys are 15 months apart, and I have nothing but praise for the Sport.
We have specific requirements which made this the most sensible option for us. We couldn't have a 'side by side' as shops in Holland tend to have narrow entrances, exits and aisles. Also, we live away from the UK and do a LOT of driving between, so needed something that would go fairly small (which it does if you remove the wheels, easy to do)
The brake is stiff and was a problem in the summer when I had sandals on, though I understand it is deliberate as it is reachable by the child in the lower seat - if it was too 'easy' they could undo it.
My younger son is usually in the main seat, and my elder son hops in and out of the seat at the back. This is against their advice, but as DS1 wants to get in and out all the time it is better that it is stable when DS2 is in it.
I've had it 16months and used it loads. It's still in excellent condition. I'd recommend it to anyone.Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

17-Aug-2010
I am very fond of my Phil and Teds Sport, as I have two kids, one nine months old and the other 3 years old and I needed a double buggy solution.
The buggy is quite practical to use. It is so much narrower than a side by side, so handy to use in doorways.
It is also quite light, so easy to manoeuvre.
The biggest problem I have had with this buggy is the brake, as it is very hard to operate.
All in all, I think this buggy is really good value for money, I bought mine of babybabyonline.co.uk forRead moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

26-Jul-2010
Got this pushchair about 6 months ago and have been using it with toddler DD1 (23 months) and DD2 (6 months). It's been great for DD2 during the little-baby stages as she can lie flat whilst DD2 sits up front, although I think she did start getting a bit bored at being in the dark at about 4 months. Now we have them both sitting up at an incline everyone seems quite happy with what they can see.
Pros -
- lightweight and narrow, especially compared to side-by-side pushchairs
- good suspension and tyres make for a smooth ride
- easily and quickly converted from single to double buggy mode.
- I think it's quite stylish, for a douple buggy!
Cons -
- brake hard to use
- straps are narrow and not padded, meaning they can rub on the girls' necks when they're wearing summer clothes
- you have to pay more for all the extras, including a rain cover, which I really think should come as standard!Read moreLessMumsnetter FrozenNorth

"This may not be the coolest pushchair on the market…"
26-Feb-2010
This may not be the coolest pushchair on the market or the most attractive but:-
- it is very easy to use
- very practical in that it addresses the fact that most families have more than one child and many children of 5 and under simply don't want to walk or are jealous of their younger sibling being in the pushchair. It is much easier to use than a single pushchair plus and buggyboard which tend to make you arch your back and are difficult on kerbs.
- the large wheels and the inline position of the two seats make puching two children of differing weights easy. Many double pushchairs are side by side and have tiny wheels which makes pushing them really difficult.
- they are narrow so can easily be pushed into the house.
- the break is very strong and it needs tto be given that two children could be sat in it. This I suspect has led to
the critisim that the break is not the
easiest to use.
- children love the flexibility it gives them
- if folds really easily is not that heavy to lift in and out of a car and is pretty small in its folded position (it will fit in my Yaris boot which is pretty tiny).
There are drawbacks as with any pushchair most of which have been set out in previous reviews. My main issues are that:-
- as a travel system it cannot be used as a double buggy.
- there is limited choice of compatable car seats
- as with most puchchairs you have to buy separately accessories which should be standard (ie raincover, footmuff)
However, I have yet to hear of a pushchair that did not have drawbacks and niggles and the longterm benefits outweigh the niggles. It will last you alot longer than one of those expensive and fancy single buggies which are lovely when you have a tiny baby but fail to meet the demands of a growing toddler and family.Read moreLess3 people found this review helpful.

Really easy to steer, so nice and narrow (although wheels are wider than pushchair making it difficult to guage width sometimes. Baby setting and toddler setting are both great and easy to change between the two. Though difficult to get into the storage bit at the bottom when both children are in it.

"love it ! have a bugaboo pram so tend to…"
10-Aug-2009
love it ! have a bugaboo pram so tend to still use that a lot in the house for dd (3 months) but when out and baout with dd it s a great buggy as a single and then double s up fo when ds comes along too (2 yrs 3 months.)
I definately reccomend it as it has made my life so much easier in managing the 2 of them. DS is at the stage where he was refusing to get into the buggy, I dont know what it is about this buggy - maybe because we tell him he s driving and up front aybe it s because he s quite upright and in front and can see about but he s been very happy to get in and be pushed about. I love it too as Because of the front bit over the wheel he can climb in abd out hiself without e lifting.
Downfall is the brake it was fairly stiff in the begining but losened up now - not sure I d want the vibe though as the brake on the handlebar taks 2 hands usually when i need to put the brake on I m chasng ds and need one hand to grab him!!! That s what ade me go for the sport over the vibe.
Other downfall is the seat belt buckles and locks they re quite small and seem lightweight enough - time will tell i suppose.
Upsides are it s so easy push - even up kerbs etc... it snarrow enough to get in and out of dorrways etc easily and i ve even had it on trains no problem!
Takes a good bit of space up in the boot but what buggy doesnt i suppose.
The cocoon is very handy for dd sleeping when we re out vising and out and about though it s not very long and she s growng out of it quickly.
Also i feel kinds sorry for her being stuunderneath so hung a few toys off the seat bar above her and she s delighted with it now!!!! So am I!!
Oh and DS is still able to nap in it when I walk - bonus!
We ve also gottne seat liners And cosy toes for it to make it extra comfy and protect the seat covers!Read moreLess3 people found this review helpful.

"I'm a pramoholic, so I had to buy P&T and…"
21-Jul-2009
I'm a pramoholic, so I had to buy P&T and try.And I still don't know what to think about it.One day I love it, next hate it.It's light, very easy to steer, handle height is adjustable which is great and shopping basket is spacious when you use a pushchair in a single mode.But... When your little one falls asleep and you recline the seat (main seat), to put it back to the up right position is a nightmare. Many times I had pull my son out(he's 10 mnths) and putting seat up while holding him.Zips are difficult to pull with child in a seat and clips at the back are very stiff. Why they couldn't make something easier to use? maybe straps at the back like M&P 03 or Jane Powertrack?
In a double mode you don't have this problem, because you can't recline the front seat with a child at the back. Second seat would be ok if not a metal bar across which is quite low. And when child's sitting the fabric goes behind a bar and kid's bumping a head all the time.Unless your child is very small, then you don't have this problem. And in a double mode you don't get much use of your shopping basket and you can't hang anything on a handle bar. And why they couldn't make a rear seat with a hood???
Also in a big rain your child will get wet on a back seat as raincover has gaps on top where it's attached to a handle.
Overall I'm not too happy with this pushchair, find it better as a single, as a double only on short trips and not shopping. You can use pannier bags of course, but they make a pushchair as wide as E3 Twin side by side which I much prefer. As an inline pushchair I wouldn't recommend it. Jane Powertwin is much better. And I wouldn't buy it to use as a single only, there are better singles on a market (Jane Slalom, Bugaboo). And it could be a bit better quality.
Well, they had a great idea, but it doesn't quite work for me.Read moreLess2 people found this review helpful.

18-May-2009
Great double pushchair.
Fits through the front door which is a huge plus! It is around the same size as our single pushchair and doesn't take up much room. Easy to fold and store.
The seats are very generous and comfy for larger toddlers. Brilliant for walking and jogging, really easy to get around the shops and on public transport.
Handy if it is your only pushchair as you can use it as a single or a double.
Only problem would be that it isn't suitable for two newborns and that the price adds up with all the extras.Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

"Whilst I still think P&T is the only double buggy…"
25-Apr-2009
Whilst I still think P&T is the only double buggy to use in London, I find it less than ideal to use on a day to day basis. I find the front wheel often heads off in its own direction when hopping onto buses. The brake on the Sport is extremely difficult to get on. The backseat in recline mode has a bar, which my 8 month old is about to reach. This means I won't be able to have her sleep in the buggy as if she is in the front seat with it reclined, my toddler (2.5) doesn't fit in the rear seat. We have had to change the tyres many times since getting it. I end up using my old trust maclaren with the buggy board the majority of the time. I wonder why Maclaren haven't done an inline buggy?

05-Apr-2009
I love it!!! I have a 17mth gap betwen my current youngest who are 3 and 19 mths. I thought it was fantastic wih a toddler and newborn and it is still just as good now that they are both bigger. There is never a problem getting down small aisles in clothing shops or through doorways which you would never be able to do with a lot of doubles. My 3 year old loves being able to hop in and out of the back seat whenever her legs get tired. It was the only thing that made having 2 close together bearable.
I'm now pregnant again and so looking forward to being able to go back to using the cocoon which we used tons last time.
There is very little wear and tear that has started to show after 19 months of use. I have recently had to replace the inner tubes for the first time in the whole time we have had it (which cost the same as a puncture repair kit at Halfords). And there is a small amount of fraying starting to show next to one of the clips.
The only downside that we have found is the small amount of storage for shopping etc but this can be easily got round with either hanging clips that you can buy relatively cheaply or the pannier bags.
Other than that I would completely recommend it to anyone!!!!Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

22-Mar-2009
It was very useful with a newborn but from a few months my ds wanted to sit up so that bit didn't last long. When he was only 4 months I had to have the back seat reclined which did mean I got back ache cos I had to lean over to push. I also found that the rain cover was not quite big enough to go over the back seat when reclined and he got quite wet as the water dripped down it on to him. My main problem with it is that as my two are big children for their ages my dd was too big to go in the back seat and so when she wanted to hop in and out of the buggy when she was getting used to walking it got bottom heavy as she would be in and out of the front bit, so it was not that practical. Also is quite difficult to manouvre. Having said that when mine were very little it was great to have, I did not have a wide front door then so could not have a side to side buggy. Think that it would have been great had my children weighed less. Will use it again if I have another, although ds probably already too big for the front seat with a newborn in the bottom bit laid flat. (He has just turned two)

Fantastic!
Goes through narrow doorways which a good number of others do not. Very light and easy to handle. Toddler sits nice and high, and the whole thing converts back to a single so if you're having your first child and know you want another one buy this buggy, instead of the likely 3 or 4 yo'll end up hoarding if you buy another brand.
They are pricey (don't go to Mothercare) but have a huge resale value too, so can easily fetch at least half the price of new on eBay!
Crucially for those with a larger family they fit in the back of most people carriers even with the rear seats up.Read moreLessMumsnetter Astarte

"I spent most of my second pregnancy researching which double…"
15-Mar-2009
I spent most of my second pregnancy researching which double pushchair to buy. There is 15 months between my two girls so I needed one suitable for a newborn and a toddler. To be honest this one is the best of a bad lot, certainly for my needs. Narrow hallway, smallish car etc. My daughter was born four weeks ago and I have reluctantly used it twice with both children in. In theory the design is great! However when the newborn is in the carry cot and your toddler is kicking off in the front seat, which is above the newborn the whole pushchair rocks and vibrates. Also when you go down curbs the newborn is really low which makes me nervous. To be honest I will be using it just with one child and will be wearing my newborn in the baby bjorn sling I have until I can use the second seat. The carry cot will be on ebay shortly. In conclusion this pushchair looks good on paper but for my family has not worked out.

21-Feb-2009
The Phil & Teds is much easier to push than a normal tandem, looks lovely and the kids are pretty comfy (until the back seat gets too cramped for the youngest!).
I found the covers split quite quickly though, although the main seat has lasted to be fair. Also, it takes up the entire boot of a car and is a bugger to lift when folded.Read moreLessMumsnetter Sazisi

"utter crap! please don't be fooled by this pram, I…"
29-Oct-2008
utter crap! please don't be fooled by this pram, I was and now bitterly regret buying it....I have a 2 yr old and bought this pram when I was about 8 months pregnant. At first i was truly happy and could not wait to put my newborn son in the cocoon underneath my daughter as she sat in the doulbles kit above, but guess what....when my boy was 10 days old the back flap of the main seat tore. i pinned it back together whilst awaiting a replacement seat (which still has not come (he is 10 weeks now) and since my complaint the other side has now split. This combined with a big baby who outgrew the cocoon in about 6 weeks, and the fact that the doubles kit seat made my 2 yr old sit hunched over has made me ask for a full refund. I have now purchased a maclaren twin triumph, which both my kiddies love, and cant believe that i was swayed into buying this rip - off pram. Think very carefully before buying this!

"I love my phil & teds and am so glad…"
10-Oct-2008
I love my phil & teds and am so glad I bought this buggy. It's so easy to fold up, light, very easy steering and so comfy for baby. They have a gorgeous fleece sleeping bag which keeps baby very warm in all weathers. Although all 3 wheelers take up a lot of room in boot, I found phil and teds the lightest of the 3 wheelers on the market. Our buggy is the best compromise between off road durability (having made it up mountains in the lake district) and boot space/ portability. Also, if we have another baby the simple addition of a doubles kit makes it into a double buggy, so we don't have to buy a twin buggy when the time comes. Worth the money.

"Having had 3 pushchairs prior to the Phil & Teds…"
08-Sep-2008
Having had 3 pushchairs prior to the Phil & Teds Sport 3 Wheeler Twin, I was very reluctant to shell out again. However, we really needed a double / tandem due to my wife not driving. Apart from all the admiring glances from those that know what a P&T is, and having to explain occasionally that the baby is actually hidden in the back, this pushchair is by far the best I have tried / owned. The only thing I can think to mention is that there may be a short space of time (maybe 3 months or so) that it might not be suitable for families with kids of certain ages. If you have two kids, one VERY young and the other a baby - it's fine. However, when the baby wants to sit up, you will be forced to move the young child into the lower seat position, whilst the baby sits up front. Some folk just feel that this is a little too low to the ground for such a young child, but it's only for a couple of months.

well , its really hard to fold , and put back up again . I have to lay it on the ground seat side down to get the darn thing up again - getting it dirty or wet ..
a great compact buggy - we have a small house so its the right size - have a 1 year old and a newborn , so when its all in place and we are out and about its great - breaks , once you manage to filp them on (hard with toddler seat at the back by the way - have tried it with 2 older(3 and 1 ) kids ) My 1 year old does not seem to be that comfortable - bangs her head on the side bar when shes napping in the toddler seat - even in its ,recline position ) . easy access for the baby tho . It is a new product tho , for us , and it mau just take time getting used to - but i would not really recommend .. you are paying for the name ..Read moreLessMumsnetter ck73

"Approach with caution! I was really excited when I first…"
24-Jul-2008
Approach with caution! I was really excited when I first bought this, as I have two babies 18 months apart. It manouvres brilliantly and is lovely to push, but is incredible heavy and a nightmare to lift in and out of our car when folded. It barely fits in the boot of a small car and will only fit in ours (Peugeot 206) by removing the parcel shelf and it obscuring half the rear window! When the baby and toddler are both in it, there is no space for bags or shopping, and our daughter (21 months)has a tendency to slide forward in her top seat, as it tilts slightly and she ends up being squashed and uncomfortable against the straps. It's a real shame - ironically when we used it with just one child before my son was born I thought it was a dream pushchair, but with two, I just find it too difficult to use. This pushchair makes me realise why so many parents drive 4x4's - you need the extra space to carry it around! I've since bought an umbrella fold side by side style twin, which I find much easier and lighter to manage.

"I am nearly 5 foot 3 tall and weigh about…"
23-Jul-2008
I am nearly 5 foot 3 tall and weigh about 98 lbs. I'm expecting my 3rd baby anytime soon, so I tried several double strollers at Mothercare recently. I found the Phil & Ted's hard to manouvre compared to the single lightweight pushchair that I've been using for the past year. Phil & Ted's feels clunky, and the build quality doesn't feel really solid either, but most importantly I didn't like the fact that I keep kicking into the back toddler seat (which must be annoying for the toddler who sits at the back too!) whenever I push the stroller with my back straight - which means that either I walk with my back straight and keep kicking the toddler's seat, or I walk with a hunchback to avoid kicking the toddler's seat. As a rather heavy-duty pushchair user (I normally walk on average an hour a day with a pushchair), walking with a hunchback whilst pushing a stroller is out of the question for me (I don't want to get a backache and buggy rage!)
That is a big negative point about this pushchair's design. But on the other hand, most double pushchairs are huge monstrosities compared to the lightest single strollers on the market like the Maclaren volo and the Bebeconfort Vit... so I can't really expect a double buggy to feel as easy to manouvre and light as the lightest single buggies on the market. Phil & Ted's is really one of the best of a bad bunch - its really not perfect, and I can't see myself loving it enough to continue using it once my toddler is competent enough to walk without using a pushchair. My Bebe Confort Vit single pushchair only weighs 4 kgs) and is a dream to push, so I would never ditch it in favour of the Phil & Ted's with the doubles kit removed. In terms of dimensions and weight, the Phil & Ted's is smaller and lighter than most double pushchairs (tandem or side-by-side) on the market, so I can see why it has been so popular with parents who need a double stroller - a necessary "evil" when you've got 2 children who are less than 3 years apart in age and you need to do a lot of walking with them in tow.Read moreLessMumsnetter noodle6

"I was swayed by the reviews here to buy this.…"
28-May-2008
I was swayed by the reviews here to buy this. Its not particularly easy to push (and I'm strong and fit) the tyres frequently need pumping up and the handlebar, while adjustable, doesnt stick out far enough to compensate for the lower seat. so you walk with your bum sticking out and end up with back ache (which I've now had for the first time, not having experienced in either pregnancy). I don't know what the alternative to this buggy is, but I'm hoping to find it.

I thought this was an excellent design until recently I was sat in my car at the traffic lights, when I saw a child sat at the back watching the wheels go round, and then being inquisative she reached out and touched the wheels. Instantly she screamed with a red burn across her hands. Mum was unable to figure out what had happened because he whole incident happened out of the view of Mum. This put me off, what about you?

26-Apr-2008
Firstly may I say I don't think there is any such thing as the perfect pram. However, I do think overall this is a very good pram. The negatives I would say are: tricky zips sometimes if your baby is heavy and you want to sit them up. It's heavy so not easy to lift out of the car also have to mess about to keep it together once folded. It's tricky getting the baby in the back/underneath but with practice it gets easier. I have literally dragged my son out by the shoulders of his fleecesuit before now! On the plus side although wide it easily fits through shop doors. It's easy to steer and very comfortable. The tyres have gone on mine a few time so I would recommend either filling them with the green gunk you can buy it's called slime or buy a can and take it with you. If you need spares there is a UK distributor that tends to be cheaper than the shops its Out"N"About

23-Feb-2008
This is a great double pushchair for two children close in age (our gap is 19 months). We have a small house, small front door and small car, so needed a double that was easy to store and move, and fitted in our fiesta (it does just, though we have to take off one wheel - takes a couple of seconds) and fitted through the door (most doubles don't). It's very manoeverable - it turns really easyily - and is about the same size as a single three wheeled pushchair. I found it a bit heavy to lift when I was very pregnant, but since baby no 2 has been born it's much easier. People are always intreaged by the fact that the baby (when little) is under the older child's seat, and we've had lots of comments when out and about. We bought the "cocoon" for the newborn to go with it, which for us was definitely worthwhile, as we use it all the time for lifting the little one in and out, and means we can take him out the pushchair without waking him when he's asleep - and even when he's awake it makes moving him much easier. We've yet to use the raincover, and as our second son is still little, we've not yet used it with the extra double seat - but we plan to - and so even though it was expensive, it should work out good value for money - especially as we use it every day. One disadvantage is not being able carry much extra (bags, changing stuff) - but we manage to fit one small bag onto the parcel tray, which contains all we need for both our boys. You can buy side panniers, but they are expensive, and looked like a bit of a faff to me.

17-Feb-2008
At first I was slightly put off by the price and ended up with a cheaper double buggy which was useless and only lasted 3 months!
I then bought the Phil and Teds and aboluetly love it.I have a 22 month gap between the children and have found it very versatile, very easy to push/steer,it looks great and best of all,it fits the boot of my Fiesta, where many doubles do not.
I also like the fact that they also 'hold' their price,so if I decide to sell it,I will probably get a good price for it...even 2nd hand.Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

"I'm actually in love with my Phil & Teds Sport.…"
31-Aug-2007
I'm actually in love with my Phil & Teds Sport. I deliberated about spending the extra on the upgrade from the E3, but in the end went for it mainly because of the adjustable handle (I'm very tall). It also has other extra features such as a better parcel tray.
It's brilliant to maneouvre - no other double can turn in such a small space, it's so comfortable for both babies, it's sturdy and safe, and it's the size of a single which is so important when you live in a city and for getting it in the boot of hatchback.
Of course, there are compromises - you lose parcel tray space and one child doesn't have a great view. And it is expensive... BUT it's great as a single too, so it'll last you through all your children.Read moreLess2 people found this review helpful.
