04-Mar-2011
I bought this for my 2 mindees....and sold it again within a week. I thought it looked great and folded up nicely BUT it was very difficult to get up kerbs, and the handles are made for giants! I found them way too high. Also the harness clasp thingys are lethal, I caught my fingers in them once or twice, very painful :(. I was very disappointed because in theory its a great buggy, compact, sturdy and looks good. On the positive side though, the back seat looks lovely and cosy for a newborn, and the hood is huge.

"I loved this when i first go it. I admit…"
21-Sep-2009
I loved this when i first go it. I admit the handels are a bit high but for the weight and manovarbilty i loved it. It is recommeded from three months for the back seat but i used it from birth.
Now that my two are a little older (now 9 months and 24 months) I hate it. The baby is squashed in the back, he has no leg room and the seat is too narrow, if he wiggles he ends up suspended in the gap by the too long straps. Also it has a flat at the top which helps to keep a new born safe when it flat. This cant be removed and gets in the way of his head so he sits forward all the time to avoid it. Which cant be good for his back. When sitting up he is too close to my DD so he grabs her hair all the time. SHe is understandably unhappy about this.
The straps are too narrow, too long and easy to remove for my two year old. They are hard to do up and undo and i often get mine or my childs finger trapped in it, ouch. The front seat doesnt recline, so if she falls asleep she is bolt upright with her head lolling around. Also she keeps getting her feet stuck in the wheels, which makes her cry.
The strap to keep the wheels attached has broken twice in 8 months and i now have them attached with tie wraps. The handels are bent from stuffing it in the car as its so long and a big struggle with my fiesta.
All in all a waste of money and i hate it now. I use it as i cant afford to buy another one. This is the third double i have tried, and sadly this is still the best.Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

As a CM, of 30 years i have had a variety of Double Buggies.
The Marco for me is by far the best,I can go anywhere with it as it is narrow enough to get through doorways.
The wheels can come off to get it into a smaller boot as well.Read moreLess"Very tall, quite heavy but compact. Good for public transport…"

Very tall, quite heavy but compact. Good for public transport - but not if it needs to be folded. Good view for 2nd child too.

A good double buggy, easy to manouvre around shops & small spaces, but if you're short it would be hard to control, as i'm almost 6ft & i sometimes find it hard!
The back seat lies flat so can be used from birth. The only problem i've had is that the harnesses can't be adjusted small enough & my 6mth old & 2yr old, can quite easily wiggle out of them. But a great double buggy & would rather have that, than any other the others.Read moreLessMumsnetter cris

Didnt like this one at all, the handles are far too high for shorty people like me, and the front seat just isnt comfortable for a toddler. The back seat is great for a newborn, but very squashed for a bigger baby. I wouldnt waste my money on one again.

Unlike some, this double is "is narrow enough to get round shops" and "ideal if you use buses". It "folds down really small with an umbrella folding system", so "great if you already have a hallway full of buggies and bikes". "Both the seats have lots of room for the children and it's good for kids of different ages". The back seat is raised slightly higher than the front so "both get a good view". Only moans were the "tiny basket" and shorter reviewers found it "very tall" but overall a great choice and all agreed, "superb value".

A really nice pram and good for shopping but very heavy to manouvre and almost impossible to get up kerbs but generally a good pram. The seats are really spacey and comfy looking.

I could not wait to get this pushchahir as I had a graco tandum pushchair which was very heavy. The pushchair is great as I use buses and makes life easier. The major downside is my 21 month old daughter is VERY tall and her feet kept getting caught in the wheels as the front seat is quite low. she looked way to big for it. If the front seat was slightly higher off the ground then this would be a perfect pushchair.

Great, compact double pushchair that doesn't break the bank. Back seat is higher than front one, so unlike Phil and Ted's, the child at the back can see out.

it IS very clever, and v useful to have a double which takes up so little room, but there are drawbacks; it weight quite a bit and is hard to fold, so putting it in and out of the boot of the car can be a pain. mine became quite difficult to push after a while (a few months) - just not that smooth and a bit of an effort after a while, so not good for long journeys. shopping basket may as well not exist, and if they fall asleep, theyre not v comfy as the seats are quite upright.
BUT you can drive it straight into the back of a taxi, it gets round all the aisles of any shop easily enough and fits through every door. these are definate positives. and the kids love being in it (as long as they dont fall asleep, and are old enough to sit up happily).Read moreLess"An excellent pushchair, for two different age children. An excellent pushchair, for two different age children. Easy to get through a single door. It can stretch your back a little as you seem to have to lean back a little when pushing. Brilliant umbrella fold, takes up little space.

very heavy and combersome. a pain in the neck going up curbs have to step on folding barto lift the front up and that only with a one year old (just) and new baby. and as long asyou don't mind walking with your bum stuck out half a mile when rear seat is laid down your fine.but the general size and length of it is fantastic for that it's like a hatchback rather than an estate!!!

As a childminder,I need a buggy that is easy to use - and this is it! I can easily push a 2yr old and a 14 mth old, with no more effort than pushing 1 child in a single buggy. The handles are high (but adjustable) - but it means you aren't stooping (& getting a bad back!). The seats remove for cleaning, which is a real plus.It looks like a single buggy because of the design and the child in the back is raised up so they can see more than the child in front's head! Downsides? Small shopping basket, you need to lever the back with your foot to go up kerbs and the front seat doesn't recline. Probably no good for someone with young twins, but for me it's perfect!Check out 2 BECOME 4's website for special offers for childminders. Side-by side double buggies? Forget them - buy this!!!

When this buggy arrived I loved it as it was small compared to a side by side buggy. According to the manufacturers its not much bigger than a single stroller when folded, its much bigger! The shopping basket is so small that it holds the raincover at a push and nothing else at all. The child in the front seat has no protection from the weather at all. The child in the back can't see out, my daughter screamed as she hated seeing nothing.

Perfect double buggy for city dwellers with no car. You need the planets biggest boot to fit it into so slight problem if you go on holiday and rent a car or get a taxi from the airport - make sure they have a roof-rack!! If you are 5ft 4 or under you will feel even shorter as the handles are quite high. Nifty swivel mechanism on them though. I was gutted it was unsuitable for me due to height and small car and I had to sell mine. It does not fit in a vauxhall Corsa or Vectra.

Very small - excellent if you need to fit in tiny lifts or have a smallish car boot. If that's not important, don't buy it as it's horrible to push, especially up and down kerbs, and seems to weigh a ton. I ended up buying an E3 double as well, which is much better.

Compact, but a bit tacky-looking and you cannot lift the front wheels up to mount a curb due to the weight and lack of leverage. The baby compartment could do with a flap to support the feet when horizontal and my toddler suffers from a cricked neck when asleep in the front because the seat doesn't recline at all. The shopping basket is pathetic and the rain cover is huge and cumbersome.

This stroller looks like a single stroller but you can get two children into it, at a SQUEEZE. I am a childminder and bought one of these, only to sell it on after a week as my mindies hated the back seat, their legs were compromised in the tiny space behind the front seat. I also found the handles too tall, I am 1.67m tall and manage most strollers with ease. I could not get up kerbs easily and had back ache at the each of each day and sore elbows. Not a great stroller, there are better tandems on the market.

I was so exicited to receive my Marco Sky L but couldn't belive how fast and hugely dissapointed i was when i actually recieved it. It is definately well made, solid and the design is clever but god how high are the handles???? i think that has been the most disspaointing pointer for me. For an avarage lady of 5ft 4in i think this buggy is totally impractical. The handles literally touched my chin and trying to life this buiggy with the oilder child in front and the handles as they are was literally impossible. Everyone raves about how compact this buggy is but on the contrary, it is not compact at all and i have learnt that pictures DO and CAN be misleading as on those this buggy looks not muhc bigger than a single one. Overall i find this buggy maybe suitbale for very tall couples! From all the research i did i found the bruin buggy from toys-r-us the mose easiest to push and fild and transport. but ultimately i needed something even more compact and found the it was the maclaren twin rally which was the most superb buggy for me. it is compact (more than a marco sky), when folded is easy to carry and evn thouhg the seats are not just as well padded as the bruin, that could be overcome with cosytoes.this buggy does fold very small is amazingly easy to push around, and most of all has no fuss about it. SUPERB!!!
MARCO SKY L could be an amazing buggy if
1: they make the handle height adjustable to suit all heights.
2: lighter in weight (it is a heavy buggy)
3: make the wheels smaller!
the design is ingenius but sadly in its current state it is in my opinion one of the worst double buggys i tested..and belive you me i tested many!!!Read moreLess"manage to transport large 2 yr old twins and dare…"

manage to transport large 2 yr old twins and dare i say my 4 yr old sits on the hood - all with ease! as narrow as a single and not much longer, both get a good view and back seat reclines. I don't feel cumbersome in shops and with the hood most people don't realise it's a double. Hard to get up kerbs and no foot muffs so my mum made some. high handles good for me.

it is a fab pushchair, really easy to get about. i will say though this is definately not for short people, i am five foot eight and tbh the handles could do with being an inch or two lower even for me. great for those taller dads who complain about taking the kids out " i have to slouch as handles are too low". deffo good for tall people.

Bought Marco Sky double buggy from ebay as read positive things about it on mumsnet, very disappointed and have since sold on at considerable loss. Have a Phil and Teds double for my two DS's aged 1 and 3, but had wanted one that was more portable - in actual fact it was extremely hard to handle and didn't fit in boot of car, the PHil and Teds much easier to fit in! Also when turned corner when out walking, on several occasions one of front wheels buckled inwards - although didn't come off, it was very scary. Also v difficult to manoeuvre and v heavy, gave up using as too much strain on back. Shopping basket a joke. Spoke came out of sun visor - dangerous to eyes. Would not recommend, very disappointing.
