"The best double buggy for a toddler and a baby"
17-May-2012
I wish I had known about this buggy sooner. My 2.5 year old likes to walk quite alot now but I do still need a double buggy. I had a Phil &Teds Explorer but once DD2 was too big to lie down with the second seat at the front, I just found it a pain not having any storage. Plus when sat in the second seat at the back, DD1 kept bumping her head on the recline mechanism every time we went up or down a kerb. I found the P&T was heavy & awkward and a total nightmare to fold. I was considering getting a side-by-side as they are lighter and fold up smaller, but was reluctant, as the streets where I live are mostly narrow and I really don't like the idea of having to fold the buggy down outside my house and not being able to get into some shops. Eventually I found the Joovy Caboose Ultralight "sit and stand" buggy which is apparently really popular in the US and no wonder, it really is like a single buggy for 2 (I can't believe they aren't very well known over here) . I ended up having one shipped over and I love it!! Everything about it is just so easy to operate, It’s light, easy to manoeuvre even one-handed, really easy to fold, compact when folded, as narrow as a single pushchair and barely longer (it's shorter and a lot narrower than the Phil and Teds Explorer). I love the way the toddler bench slides back and forward, it makes access to the shopping basket really easy and like the other reviewer, my daughter LOVES riding on the seat, she loves chatting to me face-to-face and there are no more tantrums trying to get her to sit down, hooray! I've tried out loads of different buggies and if you've got a toddler and a baby IMHO this is definitely the best double buggy out there.

"I have bought this puschair after reading the previous review"
01-Mar-2011
I have bought this puschair after reading the previous review on it. I wanted a pushchair that was similar to a single pram but not a Phil and Ted as I don't like the idea of putting the baby in the basket. I already have an out and about 360 but although it is very easy to manoeuvre, it is not that practical in my town where the pavements are so narrow. I absolutely love my Joovy, it is easy to use, very small when folded and very easy to fold. It is extremely fun for my toddler who was becoming reluctant to go in a pram. He now has the choice between going on the board or sitting and he loves chatting to me. The baby really enjoys it too as he is sat like in a normal pram. This is such a great and cleaver product for anyone who has a baby and a toddler. It is very well designed and easy to steer. The only things that were missing were a footmuff and a wrist strap but I bought some separately. The pram is also very good value for money. I paid mine £250 which was cheaper than second hand Phil and Teds. I only wished I had know about this pram when my daughter was a toddler, I would have save a lot of money.

"This buggy is amazing! A total revelation. My DCs are"
25-Jan-2011
This buggy is amazing! A total revelation.
My DCs are only 17 months apart. I'd already got through a Phil & Ted Vibe (hated everything about it) and the Nipper 360 double (which I loved but seemed a bit over the top once DS was walking a lot of the time) before coming across the Joovy on the internet.
It really is wonderful. My youngest sits in the front facing forwards whilst my eldest can either sit on a sort of jump seat with his back to her facing me or can stand up facing forward.
Unlike the Phil and Ted both get a good view and no-one is at curb height. It is lighter than a Phil and Ted and more compact than either of my previous doubles both when in use and folded.
It comes with a universal car-seat adapter which attaches to the front seat with baby facing you, a really huge hood which is large enough to shelter both children from sun/wind when extended and a handy parent organiser that attaches to the handle to store drinks/keys etc...
Between them, my DCs now weigh over 50lbs but I find it easy to push and steer - not as nifty as the Nipper was but much more manoeuvrable than the Phil & Ted.
My only concern is that the front seat is a little on the small side so I'm not sure how much longer my DS will fit in it - she's 18 months now though and still has plenty of room.
The other bug bonus is that it is much cheaper than lots of the other doubles.
Genuinely, this buggy has changed my life for the better!Read moreLess5 people found this review helpful.
