"I have had a Graco Quattro tour duo and a"
02-Jan-2012
I have had a Graco Quattro tour duo and a Graco stadium duo and found them both big, bulky, long and not very easy to manouver. So i decided to change my pushchairs and stumbled accross this little beauty!
The top seat is spacious, comfortable and very versatlie. My daughter loves being so high up! The bumper bar is easliy removeable and isnt restricting for baby.
The second seat is also very versatile and is suitable from birth and can recline which i havent noticed any other similar pushchairs (phil and teds) can do. There is lots of space between the two seats so baby underneath doesnt feel clostrophobic. Also the mud gaurds on the wheels are ample which saves worrying about fingers getting caught ( which i why i was hesitant in getting a pushchair of this sort).
The basket is fantastic! Big enough to hold alot of shopping and nappy bag whilst still giving baby underneath lots of leg room. It has zips on either side and one at the front for easy access which i must say i found extreamly usefull! when you have 2 screaming children who want milk or something, easy access to the basket is a must!
The tyres are made from a puncture resistent rubber which saves worrying about holes in the tyres or buying inner tubes, but gives the ride of an air tyre.
You are able to fold it down with both seats attatched, which is good if your in a rush and dont have alot of boot space!
The only downside to this pushchair that i can think of is that i struggle fitting in small spaces, but then you will get that with any double pushchair! and also when folded, its still quite large, but again so are all doubles!
This has to be the lightest and easiest pushchair i've had, and i've had a few! i wouldnt change this pushchair now. It is absoloutly fantasticly versatlie as a single or double! Its the best thing since sliced bread!Read moreLessMumsnetter JessmummyOf2

"We had the Phil & Teds sport but didn't likw"
24-May-2011
We had the Phil & Teds sport but didn't likw the way the wheels went down easily & baby was stuck underneath...
This was truly fantastic in comparison, the wheels don't deflate, baby can be on top and either face you or face forward. Can be used with a car seat as the underbasket is pretty large.
Manouverability is amazing and wheel lock very easy to click on and off.
The toddler seat is comfy and reclinable, also has a hood which my son loves!
Only issue is that it is quite heavy and large when folded, although no larger or heavier than our Phil n Teds, I guess all double buggies are going to be this size!Read moreLessMumsnetter joogle

"I bought this just before my 3rd baby was born"
03-Apr-2011
I bought this just before my 3rd baby was born and my second daughter was 3. It's great! The only thing I would say is the seatbelts/safety harnesses aren't very long and the second seat isn't that deep but my 3 1/2 still sits in both seats without complaint. It's not a true tandem from birth as the 2010 model can only fit one car seat but I understand the newer model has an adaptor to fit two. Although it's quite heavy to lift it's very light to push and easily manouverable. I would definitley recommend it.

"This one was like a tall Phil and Teds but"
11-Mar-2011
This one was like a tall Phil and Teds but at least the lower seat was higher from the ground. Value for money it was good but again you have to decide on who goes in the shopping basket

"ok, so I have a DS who is 16 months"
23-May-2010
ok, so I have a DS who is 16 months and am due again in July, so I had to do some extensive research on double prams before going out and buying. I wanted something that can fold easily, fit into the boot of my car without it being too bulky, will fit through doorways, provide comfort for my children, and have enough space between the two seats that my kids aren't hurdled on top of each other during long walks.
So far so good. I went and got a demo at Mothercare and then bought the pram online as you can get a cheaper deal and buy everything colour coordinated (which is a must for fashion concious mumsies :) The pram arrived the following morning nice and early, in 3 boxes. I purchased the Britax car seat too. I'd like to point out that i'm 7 1/2 months pregnant and it took me around 10 mins to take everything out of its boxes and put it together - the instructions are still nicely sealed up! everything just clips into place and you're ready to go!
The pram itself is really tall, but not bulky in any way. At the moment we are using it as a single to get DS used to it. The frame has in built suspension which is great for taking on the grass in the park or on bumpy surfaces. It is very sturdy and I can tell it is going to last us a while. The handle has many different positions depending on your height - although I would recommend this pram more for tall people as it is really tall compared to normal prams.
The main/top seat clips in and out of the frame in a split second, and can be turned to face you or away from you. The back rest slides at the click of a button and can recline fully. Where the main/top seat goes, you can also use the car seat or carry cot and carry cot/carseat cot. They will all just clip into place and come out with just a one click mechanism - very easy to use.
The bottom seat again just clips into place. it has its own built in suspension and is fully reclinable! it is as padded as the main seat and can be used for a new born. Both seats have hoods that can be unzipped in the middle and expand to cover your child to protect from the sun. There is a lot of space between the seats so your kids will not be cramped in any way, and you can pretty much mix and match the way your children sit depending on your needs.
The basket is very big on this pram, and can be accessed from the front and sides (if you are using the second/bottom seat and your child is blocking that angle of the basket)I was impressed that I could fit two large backpacks in the basket without any problems!
The steering is ok, but on pavements and off road areas it is pretty hard for me to steer, and that is just with one child in it! The wheels are big and puncture resistant which is a plus, however, I also had a lot of difficulty crossing the road and trying to get the pram on the pavement. The pram also comes with mud guards for the back wheels which i'm sure will come in handy, and i'd also like to point out that the entire pram plus mud guards will fit through any door with no problems!
Once folded, the pram can fit very easily into the boot of my car (I had major issues with my single Jane because i'd have to dismantle the front wheel part every time!) It is a bit on the heavy side to fold and put in the boot but it doesn't bother me too much. One thing I will comment on is that when it folds, the pram tends to just drop to the floor rather aggressively, so be careful of little people who may be crawling around while you are trying to do this. The same thing can be said for when opening the pram up - it almost pops open on its own.
In conclusion it is a great pram to use as a single or double. it is very durable and built to last, with many functions to make your life as easy as possible if you have two kids. would highly recommend it even though it is a bit on the pricey side (come to think of it, it is as much as a brand new phil&teds so its worth the buy)Read moreLess5 people found this review helpful.
