"Advantages:A fantastic pushchair for all weathers! Bought this for 3rd"
23-Apr-2012
Advantages:A fantastic pushchair for all weathers! Bought this for 3rd child after our original buggy expired and so wish we'd had the benefit of it for our older 2. During one cold, northern winter ,I was about the only mum who could get to school through all the snow!
For summer it has a large hood (& you can buy one of those mesh sunshade thingys that fits perfectly over it).
It has a sensible raincover which has an unzippable flap at the front.
The hammock-like seat is large and comfy(big enough to fit robust 4 1/2 year-old in) and even though it's not small, this pushchair is so light to push even with one hand.
It really is ace!
Drawbacks:It is on the pricey side ,but when you think how often it's used (ours, daily for 4 years!) it's not that much per 'use'.
Also,it's really easy to fold down but does take up quite a bit of space in your car boot
But I'd highly recommend it,particularly if you do a lot of walking and you don't need to take it in the car every day.Read moreLessMumsnetter misslongstocking

"I am a busy mum of 3 Ellie 8, Hayden"
02-Jun-2011
I am a busy mum of 3 Ellie 8, Hayden 4 and Jemma 18 months.I dont drive so do loads of walking everyday.
I have had about 50 pushchairs so you could say im a bit of a pramaholic lol.
I have had my fab mountain buggy terrain for 6 months and its one of the best Ive had !
Things I love about my MB
Jemma is very comfortable in the terrain and very happy to have a sleep in it even when I am out for a jog love the way I can adjust the harness hight very easy. All pushchair harnesses should be this simple. It has great manoeuvrability and is so easy to push even with one hand.
I feel the mountain buggy is made to a very high standard and is built to last
The only negative point is that I feel its too big to go on our public transport ie my local buses but fits in taxi no problem even with the wheels on
but we cant have everything!!Read moreLessMumsnetter ILOVEMB

"I am in love with this buggy! -nimble as anything,"
23-Nov-2010
I am in love with this buggy!
-nimble as anything,
-superb suspension in the frame not down by the rear wheels,
-front wheel tracking great for running,
-the back wheels look stylish and handle any terrain,
-large viewing window so you can see LO easily
-the harness adjusts on back rest by simply twisting and sliding!
-flip down sun visor on a larger than old model hood
-adjustable handle with handbrake
-bumper bar
I really could go on! i am not a avid runner but have a lot of park visits and if winter is anything like last I want something that will cope! This pram pushes with ease is very well made and solid.
It is on the larger side so you would need a good size boot but wheels are easily removed. i use mine daily but some may not find small enough for shopping centers, I don't struggle but its longr than a stroller. very pleased and superb improvements!!Read moreLessMumsnetter madmissy

"After having a Maclaren for our first two children, we've"
28-Jul-2009
After having a Maclaren for our first two children, we've gone for a MB terrain to get us across the fields and down muddy lanes. It certainly lives up to its excellent reputation. I love the fact that everything is so simple and therefore hopefully unlikely to break. Ok, so it's not so easy to get around town and in and out of shops, but that's not what it's intended for. Our little boy thinks it's very comfortable and I love it too.

"If you want a pushchair for using on the buses,"
17-Aug-2007
If you want a pushchair for using on the buses, then don't buy this. That's not what it's made for. It is however, made for walking and boy, have we done some walking with it. Easy to push, comfortable for newborn or toddler, it's pricey but well worth it for its durability and sheer usability. Also can be flogged on Ebay for nearly as much as new ones.

"There was heaps of praise for this "rugged" but "comfortable""
07-Jan-2007
There was heaps of praise for this "rugged" but "comfortable" three wheeler. It "folds easily", "can be pushed with one hand" and is "brilliant for walks on footpaths, fields and beaches". A good bet too for energetic parents: "the five-point harness means you can easily jog with it". Apart from cost, the main gripe was size: "It's too bulky to negotiate narrow doorways easily particularly with the fixed wheel" and it's "awkward on public transport". But overall, the majority agreed: "they cost more than the average pushchair but boy are they worth it!"

Fantastic, impossible to destroy, have used it daily for three years and it still looks great and works wonderfully. The only downsides are the room it takes up in the car and the price (but my MIL bought mine...).

Perhaps already a classic but still the best. If you like the outdoors you need a Mountain buggy; it will go nearly anywhere and is really easy to push uphill. You need a carrycot for newborns (which makes it more expensive than a bugaboo!) but still worth it.

expensive but worth if if you have a truely active lifestyle, I jog and dog walk in woods, on beaches, along rough paths and nothing has beaten it. worth getting the lambskin for little babies to increase the comfort levels though

07-Jan-2007
Really robust pushchair, ideal for all types of terrain. Don't be put off by its size - it's very manoeverable around town and provides a smooth ride for baby. You will, however, need a large car boot to fit it in without removing the wheels. I absolutely love mine.

07-Jan-2007
I have never seen another pushchair that is easier to push on the beach, on soft sand or stones. Brilliant, in fact, on all terrains I have tried. Looks cool and is very durable. BUT, I would never take it shopping!
