"Easy to manouver, lightweight…"
03-Feb-2013
The best pushchair I have owned so far (and I've owned 4 hehe) Bought my baby jogger 3 years ago with my first son who was 6mos at the time, now I'm using it with my 9 week old using the carseat adaptors and a maxi-cosi carseat :D Excellent pushchair, easy to steer even 1 handed, folds like a dream and easy to store when not in use.

"Easy handling…"
08-Jan-2013
I spent a while looking for a suitable pushchair. We live in Devon so wanted something we could take for walks and around town too.
The main factor was space, I drive a MINI and couldn't fit in the pushchair(Loola) we had before. The one handed fold and the way this folds is ideal, I still have to take the 2 side wheels off to get it into the boot with the parcel shelf in place but thats second nature now.
I find it handles really well with just one hand, the Loola was so heavy that I developed a back problem.
DS is now 2 we've had it for 18months and we are planning baby number 2 so hope that we can get some attachments for carry cot and car seat.
I've found the quality great, no problems with wear and tear, it still looks good. My only grumble would be the cost of the accessoriesRead moreLess3 people found this review helpful.

"amazed that this has such high scores…"
22-Dec-2012
This isn't a bad pushchair and I know some people rave about it but I haven't really got on with it at all.
It is really easy to fold and chuck in the back of a car or fit on the bus so in that respect I like it but it's not easy to steer at all. If you walk along an uneven pavement it wanders all over the place and the handlebar doesn't make for easy steering either. My buggy is always loaded up with scooters etc so that could be the reason.
The foam on the handlebar started to split within months of using it and I have noticed the same on other city minis so I think that might be a design weakness.
I also find the straps a complete faff to loosen.
Other good points are that it's relatively lightweight, you can fit a fair amount underneath it and the child seems quite comfortable.
If I had my time again I would have gone for the out n about as I had the double version for my twins and it had proved hard to beat.Read moreLess2 people found this review helpful.

"Great, would buy again.…"
28-Nov-2012
We live in London and bought this buggy as it's light enough to easily use on public transport but is still sturdy.
Other good points include; the price, how easy it is to fold and the massive hood. It is fairly compact when folded. Most importantly, my daughter seems to like it.
There are a few minor negatives but they would not stop me buying the City Mini again or recommending it.
1) The handle grip split after 6 months. This didn't impact the performance but looked a bit shabby. Baby Jogger didn't have any replacement grips available at the time so replaced the buggy.
2) The compact bassinet is thin and my daughter grew out of it by 3 months. After this we just used the seat in full recline mode.
3) The under seat basket is quite roomy but tricky to access when the seat is reclined.Read moreLessMumsnetter Star456

"Great, but...…"

Good points:
-easy to fold
-good for going over bumpy ground
-feels quite sturdy
Bad points:
-the seat doesn't go fully upright
-the child can't see out of the pushchair
We thought it was worth the expense because it saved us from buying a pram and pushchair. In the end we had to but a push chair anyway because our child didn't like being strapped into a reclined seat once he could sit up. Once we got another push chair he could see out to the sides and was kept entertained looking around while sitting in the push chair which is a real blessing. In the baby jogger his view was limited because he was reclined and the sides of the push chair blocked his view.Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

"Fantastic pushchair, so light and very easy to fold one handed…"
20-Sep-2012
We did a lot of research before finally buying the city mini in dec 2010 and I don't regret my decision at all. My sister in law loved our pushchair so much (she has had a fair few expensive ones in the past as she is now on her 3rd child) that she bought one too!
It is soo light and easy to steer. I have had to take little one out of the pushchair a number of times and I can still steer the pushchair while holding him in one arm. You can talk on the mobile and have one hand free for the pushchair or you can use an umbrella for yourself very easily and still manage to steer the pushchair very easily.
When going on the underground where there is no lift available, i quite easily have carried the pushchair with little one in it up/down the stairs by myself. Obviously this was much easier when little one was small, now that he is 1.5yrs old it is not that easy! He still loves it and looks so comfortable in it.
The pushchair seats are nice and big - my sis in law has put her 5 year old in the seat on a few occasions!
It is so easy to fold with one hand and doesn't take up too much space in our Toyota corolla boot.Read moreLess6 people found this review helpful.

"Genius functionality, durability is the only question…"
28-Aug-2012
Fantastic buggy in almost every sense - lightweight enough but also sturdy, super easy to fold, very adaptable, great for life in the city. We've used the car seat attachment and carrycot attachment (now called "compact pram") when DS was little - both have been brilliant and easy to install and remove. We bought a proper mattress and baby could sleep happily in the carrycot both during daytime and at night (as a bonus, the buggy hood met the carrycot one to form a little dark cocoon, also protecting him from light rain and wind). The rain cover isn't as bad a fit as some of the other reviews suggest - if it's not pouring it down you can have the seat reclined most of the way and it will still cover your baby's feet. We are still really happy with our choice, BUT...
The only question I have to the manufacturer is what is up with the materials they use? The handle bar grip started to fall apart after 3 months with normal use (cheap rubber?), and one of the hoops that hold the hood up went soft/bendy after 6 months (is it even metal or cheap plastic?) We'll keep on using it for as long as it goes - once again, that's testament to its amazing functionality - but I can't hide that we're slightly disappointed.
If you make a top product, you shouldn't cut corners on basic materials or it will affect durability. The City Mini is not *that* cheap, and we were hoping to use it for many years to come!Read moreLessMumsnetter AmeliesFabulousDestiny

"Brilliant - huge seat, small frame…"
26-Jul-2012
I've had one or two buggies (which is possibly an understatement!) but the last one I used for ds was an old Urban Detour which I picked up off ebay for a holiday. I don't like umbrella strollers so was stuck with the UD despite ds's head being above the seat back level (he's only 12m).
Following a visit to John Lewis, DH fell in love with the BJCM so we ordered in Sand & Stone. It arrived yesterday and already I'm in love too!
It turns on a sixpence, folds so very easily even my mum'll be able to do it! The harness is easy to adjust and the seat back lowering mechanism is great too. I love the fact that the hood is so huge I won't need to use my canopy (very much needed as ds is a red head and even burns through factor 50 in minutes).
The seat is huge for the size of the frame - wide and tall. I can see ds being in this for all his remaining pushchair life.
I've not taken delivery of my raincover yet so can't comment on that, but I know that my Bebe Confort Loola footmuff fits perfectly, and even has a hole where the fold strap goes.
Overall - a great buggy. If I'd known then what I now now, I'd have bought one first and saved myself all the aggro!Read moreLessMumsnetter buttonmoon78

"Best non umbrella folding push chair.…"
21-Jul-2012
LOVE love love the city mini, it is so well thought out. One handed fold is just genius and always works perfectly. It's sturdy and the frame is rock solid. No flexing, creaking or rattling and the screws can be tightened with a simple screwdriver if needed over time. Good size wheels and front suspension so great off road. We go on grass and pebble beach regularly. Lovely big shopping basket, my only complaint here is it's hard to get bulky items in and out, so I sewed a double ended zip across the basket which opens both sides, now it zips open for access and cleaning out and is perfect. Useful extra pocket behind seat. Good variable recline. Great fail proof effortless sprung loaded break. Love the handle bar height. Continuous handle bar and fab rubber grip make one handed steering so easy. Huge hood with 2 viewing windows is so useful and I use it constantly. Generous comfy seat, solid behind legs which makes it warm in winter. Love the rain cover which has a zip in it so you can access LO without taking cover off. Seriously easy wheel removal. Overall size and width is just right and not too bulky for shops or public transport. The fabrics are not high tech or luxury, just good quality, very hard wearing and all removable for washing. Stitching and details are great quality too.
would definitely use with carry cot, car seat and buggy board for future baby.
Recommend newer models over older as the shopping basket is bigger and the seat is improved / reinforced.
highly recommend using happy mummy hook n stroll clips on handle bar for extra shopping bags. (It has never unbalanced despite usual warnings about handlebar bags)
slight niggles, but nothing terrible!, drawstring recline clip is a bit fiddly going back up an I wish the clips on the shoulder straps didn't swivel as the straps get a bit twisted up unnecessarily. Rain cover should be supplied with push chair, not a separate purchase.Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

"A good all rounder…"
13-Jul-2012
Im really pleased with our choice. We had the bassinet for when our baby wasnt sitting up and it was easy to interchange to the maxi cost pebble car seat. Then when our baby got to about 6mths we used the buggy chassis and it works best as a buggy with the easy fold mechanism. However one of the best things in addition to the lay flat is the canopy which is such a good rain and sun protection. I know it is from birth but I dont think I would have put our son in the buggy option from birth, the bassinet was worth buying and we used it for several months ( plus it was over winter and it was easier to keep him cosy in the bassinet). I only compromise is there isnt an option for mum facing buggy - which for the earlier months would have been nice but not a deal breaker. great value. Quite hard suspension whichI did worry about at first but I have seen quite a few other travel systems now which are also quite hard. Really pleased with it.

we love this buggy.
Light, easy to fold, very practical and comfy. My sons has had hours of naps in itnand just love it. And it is absolutely perfect as well when it isnhot weather.
Some down sides though is that it is never really seat properly straight which has never been a prob with my son, but my daughter does not love this
while in a trip in Spain, front weel broke. Replacement weel was expensive a not really easy to find ( online)
Finally the attach has broken as well
But i still love the strollerRead moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

We did a lot of research before buying this and the glowing reviews are there for a reason, it's a great pushchair. incredibly easy to manoevure and steer with one hand (leaving my other hand free for my 4 year old), it's lightweight yet roomy for my 12 month old, lots of growing space left. The large 'canopy' style hood is perfect for sunnier days, no parasol needed and best of all easy to fold with one hand. Everything you could want in a pushchair.

We hired this pushchair whilst in Florida this month, just to get a feel of what it did without having to spend out first and then regretting later. Our daughter is 8 months and loved it! The City Mini was perfect for her and myself. It was light weight, had an amazing one-handed fold (ideal as i often travel by bus)and the double fold hood was brilliant in the Florida sun. 29-Mar-2012
I'ma big fan of this buggy, which I use on occasions when I can't cope with only the wrap sling.
The fold is excellent and the hood provides great cover for all kinds of weather. We did buy the car seat adaptors but we rarely use them; the main draw back of this buggy is the fact that it doesn't do parent facing unless you buy the bassinet or use the car seat (which makes the buggy a bit unwieldy). But I prefer to use the sling if I want my daughter to face me.
The BJCM is very manoeuvrable, light, and easy to fold and store. I'd highly recommend it, even from birth; the seat goes very flat for newborns. We also bought a fleecy insert and footmuff as well as a head support, which has been useful.Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

30-Jan-2012
I'm a Londoner and live in a flat on the third floor and have been using the buggy for two weeks. Previously I used just a Baby Bjorn. Like others I agonised for days over which buggy. Eventually I went for this one - sold on its easy fold mechanism and comfort, plus on recommendation by a friend and the fact I didn't find one negative review for this buggy.
This buggy is ideal for anyone living in a house that drives (like my friend that recommended it). I would NOT recommend this to anyone who needs to negotiate stairs on a daily basis or a frequent user of the London Underground.
I've been struggling getting up and down flights of stairs with shopping, baby and this heavy buggy. The tube, where there is no disabled access has been a real challenge - stairs and escalators have been an awful experience. I'm persevering though as I'm happy with all other aspects. I've attached a guitar strap, which has helped somewhat so when folded I can fling it over my shoulder to have two hands for the baby.
I hope this review helps any decision!Read moreLess4 people found this review helpful.

Great piece of kit. Deliberated for a long time over which pram to buy but so glad I did. This is by far the easiest and most dynamic pram out there at the minute. Travels well. Ours has been on over thirty flights and hasn't a scratch. Easy to put up one handed. Light and compact. Highly manoeuvrable and easy to jog with. The extendible hood provides excellent shading from sun, rain, wind and more importantly light. Onto baby two now and honestly can't fault it...

I love this buggy. I've had it since before my youngest was born, so had a toddler in it, then a newborn. I used a maxi cosi cabriofix carseat adapter with it initially. She's now one, and the buggy is still going strong. I looked at getting a mall stroller type buggy recently, and was amazed to find that they were actually heavier and harder to manouvre - I can push this easily with one hand both in a shopping centre with nice smooth floors and on the school run over bumpy pavements, which is essential when the other hand has a child and a dog to keep hold of. It's amazingly easy to fold - truly one handed, has a decent shopping basket underneath, and a fantastically big sunshade. I wholeheartedly recommend this buggy!!

"This buggy is fantastic and I would highly recommend it…"
02-Jan-2012
This buggy is fantastic and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a easy to fold, lightweight buggy. We had the bassinet attachment when our little boy was little which was great, and well worth the the money as you also got the carseat attachment things, which we still have on even though we've reattached the standard seat. The standard seat is fine, but I felt much better having our son in the bassinet or carseat facing forward until he was about 16 weeks, and we then swapped it for the standard seat.
The only pitfalls are the front wheel sometimes gets stuck on the under basket if it is too full, and I did wish for a little more suspension over cobbles or stones when my little man gets jolted around but for the price you pay this buggy is fantastic.
I love it that you can actually direct granparents etc to collapse it in a second, that means it must be easy to collapse!
We've taken this buggy to Australia and back and its been great in the sun (albeit I wished we had of got a sand colour rather than black) and also here in the winter as we've just got a standard foot muff on it.Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

This buggy is amazingly light and easy to fold and put up again, ideal for car journeys, bus trips etc. with an active toddler. I can cope with the toddler and pram and shopping on my own stress free!
My favourite feature has to be the canopy / hood. It comes down far enough so you don't need an additional sun parasol and is also handy if you get caught in a bit of rain without the rain cover. Ooh and it has windows!
Has a nice large shopping basket and am extra pocket at the back.
Above all it is very comfy for my 18month old and he loves travelling in it and has no problems sleeping in it.Read moreLess3 people found this review helpful.

Fabulous buggy! I bought this after getting disillusioned with my bugaboo. It's so easy to use and goes in the car very easily, taking hardly any space. I'm not sure how long it will last, that's why I haven't given it a 10 for durability. My daughter prefers the bugaboo as the sitting position is more upright, which she prefers.

After buying 13 prams/pushchairs for my 3 kids over 8years I can finally say I have found the best pushchair from about 8 months old. Wish I knew about this pushchair when I had my eldest.

Great lightweight buggy. DS is only 5 weeks old so can't really comment on many of the functions. He does look tiny in it once reclined but seems comfy and the big hood keeps him sheltered from sun and wind. basket underneath is a nightmare to access though - no idea what kind of changing bag they think you have. We got the adaptors for the car seat too so that's been invaluable - though the instructions are minimal and I ended up having to call babyjogger UK to talk me through it! Main plus is weight and folding - essential for me after an emergency section. BUT if you're looking for an all terrain 3 wheeler this aint it! Sluggish on grass and impossible on sand. Can't beat it for nipping to shops though!

"I have been delighted with this buggy which I bought…"
13-Jun-2011
I have been delighted with this buggy which I bought on the recommendation of a friend who is on baby number 4 and who says she wishes she discovered them sooner.
Major plus points of the buggy for me are;
the reclining seat that goes to flat and where my one year old will nap happily,
One hand fold which has had me the envy of many a many a mum whilst out and about- a pregnant mum even approached me in the mother care car park to find out what buggy it was because she was so impressed when she saw me take it out of the car and put it up with one hand
The fabulous hood which comes right down and shields baby from the sun-when out walking with my friend who has a phil and teds we are constantly constructing something to keep the sun out of her son's eyes
The after care customer service- my wheel was faulty when I first received the buggy but they sent me a new wheel on next day delivery, now after six months the hood and handle have become slightly damaged and they are sending me new ones even though it is six months down the line.
The buggy is so fabulously light to push around.
The brake is really good plus it is easy to get on and off with flip flops on unlike the phil and teds sport.
Down points;
The seat sits at a good angle but I would like the option to make it even mo upright for when I need to feed LO in the buggy for example
Referring to other reviews
The rain cover does not come with the buggy but I bought a mother care generic one as I needed one but kiddicare were out of stock of city mini ones, it is perfect because it is really spacious and allows baby to lie flat when it is on and I have tested it in monsoon rains on holiday and baby stays perfectly dry
The shopping basket is ok to access from the side just the back not so easy. I don't mind stepping to the side of the buggy
I agree it is so spacious and my 13 month old is on the 99th percentile and was rather cramped in the quinny buzz but he has plenty of room in this which also means on holiday he doesnt get too hot and sweaty, this is a perfect buggy for a holiday because it's so easy to take to the airport and collapse at the gate. I was travelling alone with baby and I was able to push the buggy easily with one hand and use the other hand for a trolley bag - mums with mclarens need two hands to push or you will go round is circles
This buggy should also be included in the stroller section as it is an alternative to a standard umbrella stroller but better for a multitude of reasons.Read moreLess5 people found this review helpful.

Love this pushchair.
Easy to put up and down..one handed.
Reclines from upright to alomst flat.
Lightweight and easy to push.
Compact when folded.
Good sized basket.
The hood is very good, comes right over and has 2 handy viewing windows.
Good sturdy break which is easy to use.
Not so good parts though are
that the handle bar isn't multipositional, although perfect height for me
The straps are fiddley and on mine they are twisted around the wrong way (makes sense when you see it)
Basket isn't the easiest access to get stuff into.
Doesn't look to be the most comfy of pushchairs but my son seems to be fine and sleep well in it.Read moreLessMumsnetter sparkleshine

"I chose the city mini having spent quite a bit…"
22-May-2011
I chose the city mini having spent quite a bit of time researching the different stroller options and it really was an excellent choice. Already having a Bugaboo Chameleon we wanted a stroller to take away on holidays so it needed to be lightweight and easy/quick to collapse but could still recline sufficiently and comfy for our 6 month old.
I think it feels more stable than the mclarens and although bigger when collapsed you really can pull up and down with one hand while holding baby in the other. Super easy for getting on and off the plan and light to carry. The seat isnt far off a full recline so we were able to head out to dinner in the evening on holiday and our son would be out like a light in his little cocoon.
It's not the cheapest stroller out there but definitely worth the money!Read moreLessMumsnetter phmummy

"I love this pram. Light and easy to push one…"
23-Mar-2011
I love this pram. Light and easy to push one handed which was a priority for me with a toddler and a little one. The little one is now a chunky 2.5 year old and he still has lots of room and isn't at all cramped like he is in an umbrella fold buggy. The folding mechanism is a joy, and it takes up a minimum amount of room in the boot of my car. the extra large hood is grat for keeping the sun off, and the two viewing windows mean yoou can keep an eye on the baby easily. the brake is really easy to put on and off and gives a good firm hold. The only downsides are the seating position is a bit slouchy for a younger child, the straps are a bit fiddly to alter, and the shopping basket, while roomy, can only be accessed from the side due to the frame crossbar at the rear of the pram being in the way. It also doesn't come with a raincover, which is poor considering the price! But, we have used this daily for alomst two years and it is still going strong and looks almost new still. Although quite pricey, it has given great value for money so far, and is still giving a great service.

"I bought this 13 months ago for my newborn, partly…"
20-Jan-2011
I bought this 13 months ago for my newborn, partly following good reviews on here. I am really disappointed in it and wouldn't recommend it to others.
For a newborn it was surprisingly good with a thick cosytoes in for padding as the seat alone wouldn't be enough. The seat reclines properly flat and swings gently over bumps making it comfy and secure for newborns.
The collapse mechanism is very good, quick and easy.
It is light and fairly easy to push. Initially I could push one handed but it seems to have developed a slight 'lean' and now needs two hands.
But the following bad points outweigh the good ones.
The rain cover only fits with the seat upright and not reclined - a major irritant!
The straps are really fiddly, hard to adjust and stiff to do up.
The seat doesn't sit fully upright so my son slides down in the seat and then fussed about it. I am constantly hoicking him back up.
It's not very stable and tips easily on any slope, probably because it's so light.
It can be put up one handed but it's not easy and I often bang it into me or the car when I try. Also it has straps that are supposed to be done up to make it secure, these are really stiff to attach.
After 6 months or so it developed a squeak/groan as I push and seems to move less easily. I don't think it's very well made.
The hood is large but not enough on it's own to keep the sun or rain off the child.
I definitely wouldn't buy it again.Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

"This is not a fancy buggy but it is extremely…"
06-Jan-2011
This is not a fancy buggy but it is extremely practical. Our priorities were that it should be easy to fold, lie flat for sleeping and fit in my car boot - It is by far the easiest to fold and open, completely one-handed, it reclines/lies flat with a simple release at the back and it fits in the boot of our very small car (Peugeot 106) with the back wheels removed (easy to remove).
We previously had a bugaboo bee which did fit in the car but was really hard to open/close and very small inside for a toddler - the city-mini is far better and also half the price.
It is also very easy to handle when out and about and copes with various terrain.
The only downside is the access to the basket underneath - the basket is big but its not easy to big items in.
Highly recommended.Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

10-Dec-2010
A great allrounder buggy which we have used since our son was newborn, although we did have to use an insert to protect his head and make it more snuggly for him. He has been very comfortable and we never felt we needed to attach a car seat instead.
The hood is wonderfully big and the peepholes are very useful to see your baby. It fits in our Mini boot with the front wheel removed (very easy quick release). It is very light and very manoeuverable, easy to push one-handed and altogether simple to use. The one-pull mechanism to collapse the buggy is frankly brilliant.
Downsides: The underneath basket is an ok size but the frame makes it difficult to put larger bags in. The handle is not height adjustable.
Overall a very good product.Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

10-Dec-2010
After 3 children (over far too may years) and a range of prams/pushchairs from silver cross prams, maclaren buggies, graco 3 in 1 and finally for my third child I got this from 6 months +.
I used the big silver cross for the first 6 months - not sure I would recommend the jogger for a new born unless you fitted the car seat to it. But for 6 months + its great.
Really comfortable height (have even been jogging with it pushing it with one hand). Very easy to push and manoeuver.
Folds really easily with one hand. The front wheel folds sideways which means it folds fairly flat. I can stand it in the footwell in front of LO's car seat when we go away for a family holiday and need all the boot for luggage.
Oringinally chose it because I liked the look of the big hood - never did get the hang of using sunshades with my first two! The hood did not disappoint, good for sun and rain and viewing window useful.
Negatives:- if I was going to be picky I would say the basket is a little small for me - but I like to walk to the local shops. The straps are not the best quality but they are functional and the seat is not as padded as some, but you can always put a fleece in it. My LO seems fine in it and falls asleep easily even at 2 1/2. Easy to lie them down when asleep.
It is not the most fancy, but you realise after 3 children that practicality is more important!
I am definitely very happy with it, its a good compromise between a large off roader and a small buggy when you don't want to buy both.Read moreLess2 people found this review helpful.

09-Dec-2010
This is my 6th and final buggy and the best of them all. Best physical fit for me (5'g and dh 6'3) and even our enormous near 3 year old has room to fit more of himself in it yet.
The fold mechanism is a complete joy, it turns on a dime, the suspension is as good as prams twice the cost, the hood covers enough to not bother with rain shield after baby stage and means we've avoided faffing with sun shields. I have severe joint problems in elbows, shoulders, wrists and some knuckles and this pram is not adding to the damage at all.
It is the easiest one to take off the covers and wash and re-apply them. If only I'd know about these prams 5 years ago.Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

12-Sep-2010
I've been through a few buggies (3 DC and am a child minder who walks a lot) but this trumps them all so far.
It's not the best-looking, but is sooo so practical..
These are the things I love about it:
It's handle bar is actually high enough which means I can stand up straight whilst pushing, finally.
It was a very extensive concertinaed hood, it reaches past the baby's feet. This means you rarely need to use the raincover, and also makes it nice and dark and cosy for buggy-naps.
It can lie right down, so suitable from birth, but is also very strong and has a large seat so accommodates a lazy 4-year-old just as well ;-)
It has the easiest folding mechanism ever, and is also easy to lift in and out of the car; quite light, too.
It's a smooth push, manoeuvres nicely, and takes the bumps well.Read moreLess2 people found this review helpful.

We bought the City Mini when our daughter was 2 weeks old as it was too hot for her to be comfortable in the baby bjorn. Our LO is very happy in it.
It is perfect for London especially if you use public transport. It is very easy to use- even the Grandmothers approve.
We hunted down one of the 2010 model which has a bigger basket than the older model.Read moreLess3 people found this review helpful.

I'm thinking of buying the city mini as it folds so easily and is lightweight.I know it states that it can be used from birth, but I was unsure if it is secure and comfortable enough for a newborns back. Can anyone enlighten me?

"This is a fabulous pushchair. We have had it since…"
10-Jun-2010
This is a fabulous pushchair. We have had it since our daughter was born, and whereas many of our frineds had to buy a pushchair once their children had grown out of their expensive travel systems, our daughter has been happy in this from day one.
It can be adapted to take a maxi-cosi car seat (need to buy a seperate adaptor kit that can be a bit tricky to get hold of), so she used it like that initially. The back easily folds flat, so it is perfect for sleeping in and until the baby can support it's head.
It has been brilliant to use - nice large hood (for shelter from sun or rain) with windows so you can see baby. 5 point harness for safety. Marvellous folding mechanism that is really easy - just lift a strap in the seat of the pushchair and it folds in half. Lightweight (but therefore not much padding, hence my lower score for comfort - although our daughter has been fine!). Very manouverable, with one hand, and an excellent brake.
Incidentally, it was reviewed in this months Mother and Baby mag as best buy.
It is on the pricey side compared with other puschairs, but if you only buy one set of wheels, get these!Read moreLess3 people found this review helpful.

19-May-2010
The most fantastic stroller I have ever seen or used. It is as light as a feather and folds up with this incredible pull method that can be done while holding the baby and using 1 hand free. Best product! My only complaint is that I don't feel it is the best stroller for a newborn. I know that there are ways to attach an infant seat but, not great. It's best use is when you place a baby in the stroller who can support their own head.

28-Apr-2010
This is a nice lightweight buggy which feels more sturdy than the McLaren alternatives. Good points are: easy fold system which you can do with one hand, a good shopping basket and pocket at the back, lies flat very easily, removeable wheels to make it smaller when travelling. Bad points are the seat is quite reclined so sometimes difficult for DS to sit up well, only forward facing, whilst buggy is small the wheels are quite bulky so often need removing for travelling.
Overall I really like this buggy and after much searching I still haven't found one that looks like it would do a better job.Read moreLessMumsnetter ChocOrange05

"I bought a black one of these at the end…"
23-Feb-2010
I bought a black one of these at the end of last summer. Overall it's not bad, plus points were the huge hood which meant no need for a parasol. I thought it was nice to push - felt quite sturdy. Lots of things I did not like though - although it folded up so quick, what they do not tell you is you need to attach two straps with poppers to the frame to make sure it's secure. This was a pain! Also the back rest was not fully upright so a problem with children who like to sit upright as they look uncomfortable leaning forward. The straps were hard to adjust. The little boy "swung" about when the seat was reclined, almost like in a hammock! I am a bit of a "pramoholic" so sold mine after only a month or so for something else. Not as impressed as I thought I would be but got back what I bought for it thankfully!

"We got this as we wanted something that we could…"
09-Feb-2010
We got this as we wanted something that we could push with one hand and there's not that many lightweight strollers of that type around. Have to say, was a little disappointed after all the reviews seem to say how amazing it is. Think it's on the expensive side to say the least compared to the M&P Pilko pram we had for the first year. For example, the crotch protection came off, it's very difficult to adjust the harness, the raincover is a disaster, there's nowhere to really attach it easily and that can be a real pain. Lots of people go on about how great the hood is, to be honest, I don't think it's much bigger than the one we had on our M&P pram.
That said, the folding mechanism is incredible and a real plus, although the pushchair is still quite heavy. Also, the pocket on the back is quite loose so if you put something there and hold the pram folded, it falls down, a real pain if on your own. That's something the manufacturer could sort out.
It doesn't feel of super great quality either, there's a lot of velcro to attach things, which makes it feel a little on the flimsy side. The basket is a bit awckward to get to, which again can be a pain if on your own.
So, it does have a lot of plus but really, don't think it's as amazing, especially given the expensive price tag, as people say,.Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

"A fabulous product. This was our fourth attempt at buggy…"
01-Feb-2010
A fabulous product.
This was our fourth attempt at buggy buying and we eventually got it right!
Weight limit of 22kgs makes it great for older heavier toddlers!
One handed fold is great for the bus!
It's a great height for DH and I who are both over 6 feet tall.
Pushes so smoothly and comfortably along pavements and grass - even with the 'heavier' toddler on board! Manages better offroad than friend's umbrella type buggies but is not a true off roader. The 8'' wheels make for a far more comfortable ride for the child - less jiggling about!
The seat is not as upright as some but certainly not too slouchy. Although it is a hammock style seat. There is loads of space.
The hood is fabulous - 2 viewing windows, loads of coverage, protection against the elements second to none. The raincover is great too - it actually fits!
Can you tell I love this pushchair?!?!
The buggy is 24'' wide. It is fine for standard doorways although if you are used to umbrella buggies it might take some getting used to in shops.
I think it is just perfect - although if we have a second child I may look into a City Classic/Elite just because I am pushchair obsessed!Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

26-Nov-2009
The best buggy I've ever used. It's as light as a stroller but feels much more substantial. The three wheels make it a dream to push, especially one handed, and the big hood is a brilliant sunshade. It has the best folding mechanism on the market, nad the shopping basket hols much more than you think it would. The harness is a bit bulky on a smaller baby - large clips near the baby's head - but fine for a toddler, that's my only criticims really. I'd recommend it to anyone

09-Sep-2009
I LOVE this buggy - so easy to push (one handed so spare hand for other errant child/ dog/ shopping), so light, so easy to fold. Marvellous. My only criticisms would be that the harness is very awkward to adjust and never seems to fit quite right, and that it is hard to adjust the back rest with a child in the seat. Still - everything else makes up for that. Top stuff and I would NEVER go back to a McClaren, however cheap it was!

"This is my favourite lightweight buggy and I would never…"
13-Apr-2009
This is my favourite lightweight buggy and I would never go back to any other having had one - the light weight and fast fold make it indispensable if you have to get in and out of the car every time you visit the shops.
Having said which, these are the drawbacks:
The underseat basket isn't easy to get at, particularly if the seat is reclined.
The seat isn't possible to recline one handed and is nearly impossible to raise from a lying down position to a sit-up position with a child in it.
The front wheel can make a rattling noise which doesn't sound particularly well made - but having said that I have never had problems with the wheels.
They say you can lock the front wheel - but you can't. (Having said which, you don't really need a locking front wheel on a town buggy).
Despite all that, it is totally brilliant. You can even get a toddler seat to make it a double buggy if you buy one from America.
I have a Wallaboo buggy snuggle (both newborn and toddler size) from Hippychick.co.uk which fits perfectly and is much better than the Babyjogger one I bought which was too bulky.Read moreLess2 people found this review helpful.

Fantastic, this is the best stroller we have had, it folds with one hand in a flash, is light enough to be carried so is great for the tube or bus.
It reclines fully so is suitable from birth and can take a car seat (if you need one) making it a travel system too.
It rides over anything and has a lockable front swivel wheel, easy to use braking system, good strong adjustable harness and a great hood to keep the sun out.
All in all I can't fault this buggy, it has taken everything we have thrown at it and does everything we want it to. Plus it didn't cost the earth either.Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

Quite simply the best light weight buggy ever invented! It folds in a flash with one hand, and is light enough to carry with the bus or tube. It easily fits in the car boot, and has a huge shopping basket too. It reclines fully making it suitable for a newborn or a sleepy toddler, and is also compatible with a bar seat to transform it to a travel system.
It is nippy about town, but also rides over the park too. All in all a fantastic buggy that knocks the socks off any umbrella fold!Read moreLess"I bought this pushchair for my 21 month old. After…"
23-Feb-2009
I bought this pushchair for my 21 month old. After trying so many different pushchairs I really do notice the pros & cons of every buggy.
The Baby Jogger City Mini is lightweight, lovely to push, has a good size basket & the fold is tiny. I was amazed at how easy it is to fold, I've never seen anything like it & it's definately the easiest folding pushchair I have had
The seat is a fantastic size & would easily fit an older toddler, my daughter has lots of room & seems very comfortable. I got the all black version which I love as you can brighten it up with a lovely bright liner/footmuff or change bag.
The large hood is also excellent, it has several positions & covers so well. It also has 2 viewing windows so you can see your baby on each hood position.
There is a large net at the back of the pushchair which offers even more storage & it has a sturdy brake which is easy to use. The handle is very comfortable & I find the pushchair easy to push with one hand.
Overall I am very impressed & would definately say that this is in my top 3 favourite pushchairsRead moreLess2 people found this review helpful.
