"DD is 9 months, I bought one of these from…"
08-Aug-2011
DD is 9 months, I bought one of these from eBay (for half the usual price), the only downside was the warning label was in German but it basically only says what you expect it to- don't leave the child unattended, secure it properly.
For 2 days I loved it, what could be easier than a machine washable highchair you can take anywhere packed up the size of a make-up bag.
But then she learned to escape from it. Beware. All your baby has to work out is that by drawing thier legs under them and standing straight up they can be free. For most families this wont be a problem, but if you have a hardcore Houdini it's useful while you give them your 100% attention (so not for any social lunches ever then).
If a mark were available for "safety" I'm afraid my experience would only allow me to give it 3/10.Read moreLessMumsnetter SaffronCake

In theory this is a fantastic idea, but is not fantastic when put in practice.
Don't get me wrong, if you have a chair that it fits perfectly then it's great! But I've found it pretty hard to fit (Safely) on chairs that they suggest it will fit on!
There is a buckle that wraps around the chair but the fabric unravels from the buckle very easily.
If you can adapt it to your needs, then it's fantastic, but not worthRead moreLessMumsnetter MilkNoSugarPlease

28-Aug-2010
I bought this for my first daughter and found it invaluable, especially when travelling across country to stay with relatives.
Most of the eateries we frequent now with DD2 seem to have plenty of highchairs so it's not had as much use this time.
DD2 is quite petite and is very low down in it.Read moreLessMumsnetter grenden

The totseat saved my life while on holiday with my 11 month old. I loved it so much I now sell it. It's easy to use, can change the size to suit almost any chair and is small enough to take anywhere

After having a look at alot of portable highchairs, I came across Totseat and fell in love! Mine arrived today and still love it. I've tested it out and it seems really easy to use and the insrtuctions are very handy. The pouch it comes with to keep it in is useful, and best of all is that it sits in the bottom of our change bag so we are never highchair-less again!!

Was given one of these as a gift and have to say it was one of the most practical and over-used things which I've been given to date! It's fab. Take it anywhere with you, shove in your changing bag and you're sorted. I even find it useful when out & about to put on to highchairs which look as if they need a good clean... Fits on to every chair I've come across and looks great. Lovely & bright colours. Always get people asking me where I got it from when I'm out & about. Very good also when visiting friends who don't have kids - and thereofre not likely to have highchair!! Such a great invention - wish I had thought of it myself!

This is amazing. For trips away and general travel we've gone through the range from plastic folding units, to foam lightweight ones and then this. It packs away into a very small pouch (fits in your changing bag easily) and it really does do what it says. Every type, size and height of chair we've tried it on it fits which is something most other portable sitting solutions don't do. For around

brilliant. i've been using it with our daughter since she was about 6 months, as soon as they can sit unaided without flinging themselves about then it's suitable. so small, so easy, looks cool, one of my best buys. great for cafes, restaurants, friend's houses etc etc etc. don't be tempted to buy a cheaper copy, i've tried them and this by far the best design. top marks!

Really useful buy: it's extremely lightweight but 12 month old daughter is very secure despite being a wriggler. The straps are all adjustable to ensure it fits all kinds of chairs safely. Comfort depends really on the seat it's strapped to as it isn't padded at all. Also as there is no booster it can mean that the child can actually be too low for the table, but as a light, compact highchair for out and about, it's well worth the money.

A great buy. It lives in our car and we use it everywhere but home. Keeps your baby secure and comfortable, although little ones slip to the side a bit. Has fitted every chair so far and been used for as long as two weeks on holiday with no protest!

Nice idea and useful when desperate but found it too annoying that LO was not at table height. Would rather cart a booster seat around. Also my LO was either able to wriggle too much or, alternatively, looked as if he had been strapped down!

07-Sep-2007
It is really useful and we have yet to find a chair which we couldn't fit it to (which is more than can be said for the 4yo equivalent we had for DS!) It does have to be adjusted correctly though otherwise the baby will slump or, like my DD, twist out of it. Baby is not at "table height" but then again it is only really used when there is no highchair (or highchair with no straps) so that is OK.

Great idea and so easy to take out with you as it can fit in your bag. My 18 month old really dislikes it though as she feels very restricted, which I guess is reassuring!

Very useful, especially for travelling but does mean that you can't position the child so easily for the height of the table. Quite expensive (I'm sure anyone with a sewing machine culd make their own version.

Great to use when out.Fits in your change or handbag easily. Used alot as some highchairs in restaurants can be very dirty and also some were too big for my daughter so the Totseat was a must. Not the cheapeast but if it lasts as long as it suggests will have had my monies worth out of it.

Great, couldn't do without out. The best part is the straps which go around the chair as they are so secure. Much better than other portable high chairs which tie.
