"Difficult to get a sleeping child into…"
11-Jun-2012
I wish I'd thought about the practicalities of this cot before I bought it. When we used it, I was still feeding my daughter to sleep. Because of the shape and small size of the opening (and we had the larger version!), I could hardly get her in without waking her. I resorted to feeding her to sleep inside the tent, which was really uncomfortable. The mattress + pad combination made loud whooshy noises whenever she shifted in her sleep, and it was really thin.
Even though the larger version is supposed to fit a child until they're 4 years old, I gave up on this at 9 months.Read moreLessMumsnetter InvaderZim

"Zips woke baby up…"
10-Jun-2012
Although light and a great idea in theory it was a fiasco - everytime we opened/closed the zips our son woke up and so he ended up having to sleep with us. Also the mattress was a bit thin. We tested it on my niece aged two but she said the mattress was too hard and felt trapped. A waste.

"Used one of these last summer when camping - loved…"
26-Jan-2011
Used one of these last summer when camping - loved it and more importantly, so did my daughter. We bought it because of its multifunctionality - used it on the beach in the daytime as a UV shelter and then just added the mattress at nighttime. We added a bit more air to the mattress because we were on such hard ground - she was the only one of us to to get nibbled by mozzies becuase of the built in nets.
Bit tricky to get the hang of the folding up the first time we collapsed it but since then, no problems at all. It is also light enough to take anywhere so I think we will certainly get our moneys worth from it.Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

"Spent hours researching travel cots and read all the reviews…"
02-Aug-2010
Spent hours researching travel cots and read all the reviews on this site and amazon, plus went to shops to test out cots including the phil and ted's one. This is the best baby kit we have bought and I can't recomment it enough.
Cot pops up in seconds, and is easy to pack away (watch the demo on the nscessity website). Self inflating matteress works, pop it inside tent with soft matting on top, then pop on normal fitted cot bedsheet.
It is light, small and enables me to have flexibility to travel, be it a flight or even if just to friends for lunch without disrupting my baby's routine.
My LO loves sleeping in it, as he is sealed into his familiar secure environment he is unaware if he is away from home. We use if in the summer at home when his room is bright too since it is darker inside the tent. A good investment since we've used it from birth and will continue until he is 3/4 years and it doesn't take up space at home. Love the fact we can use it at the beach or in a park if we want to with UV protection.Read moreLess3 people found this review helpful.

"I brought this travel centre for my holiday in June…"
29-Jul-2009
I brought this travel centre for my holiday in June and i am now very pleased i brought it. I used it on the beach and as a cot for my 9 month old daughter. I did use it before i went and found the first time folding it away was a bit tricky but i looked on the NScessity website which had a video demo which helped. Also whilst i was on there i found Uv protection clothing which is not only cute but great value for money!! I would reccommend this product to anyone.

"Really small and light and easy to use. You need…"
19-Nov-2007
Really small and light and easy to use. You need enough space for the bed to prang open, and to make sure there's nobody in the way. Our daughter slept in it for a month of camping and played in it with her big sister. The tent is getting a lot of use and is bearing up really well. It really is a Bed In A Hurry!
