"Piece of Junk??…"

I thought that initially until I looked more carefully at the instructions. The four rails won't lock unless the base is still unlocked. Once you've sorted that its a piece of cake. For disassembly you need to locate the well-hidden buttons on each joint (under the joint). Hold it down until the joint is FULLY folded (otherwise it locks again halfway.

"What a piece of junk - would definitely not recommend…"

My son bought this as we were looking after our grandaughter the next day. Absolutely impossible to erect, even after using foot pressure, couldn't get all top bars to lock into position so not safe to use. To say trying to assemble the dratted thing was very frustrating would be a considerable understatement. Very poor quality.

It's a bit tricky to put up but I think its great as a travel cot I use it as a playpen as well. It has wheels on the case so you just pull it instead of carrying it

Good price, but too heavy and takes up too much space in the car for long breaks

A no-frills travel cot that does the job well: "My daughter sleeps as well in his as she at home and it's probably as compact and portable as you're going to get for a cot of this type", it also "makes a great playpen". The bag makes it easier to store and transport although it's "quite heavy to lug about" and "folding it away takes a little practice and patience". One user raved: "Ours has been all over the world with us and I haven't found any problems with it yet!" Another summed it up: "It's not funky, but it's perfectly functional".

An OK travel cot, my DD has liked it more as she has got bigger! The mattress is a little thin, but I think they are all like that. I used it as a playpen for awhile and it worked very well. The colour scheme is ok, and it is very easy to put up and take down.

I wouldn't want to use it for long periods, she doesn't seem very comfy on the mattress, at least I assume that is why she turns round on it all night long.

really practical but make sure you put it up in advance - can be quite tricky and frustrating when you and baby are tired!

This would be more portable if it had two little wheels at one end of the bag, then weedy mums like me could drag it along! Relatively easy to put together (quite logical really), the only fiddly bit is if you have the mothercare travel cot with the bassinet attachment. As a basic unit, I think it is relatively lacking in the comfort department: the folding based feels hard and unyeilding, and because it folds, it doesn't seem to lie perfectly flat: more of a problem when your baby is tiny. However, invest in the quilted "mattress" that Mothercare also sell and THEN notice the difference! Much improved comfort and just a shame it's not sold with the travel cot itself as part of the package as I think you really do need it. Generally good value for money, but I would have rated it much higher if the mattress was supplied. Having said all of the above, my daughter really gets a good nights sleep in her travel cot and naps well there, too. I think she is still intrigued by the mesh sides!

So handy and easy to use. sometimes felt the padded matress could do with a bit more padding to make it more comfy but all in all a great buy. It has travelled everywhere with us around the country and never had any problems. Wipes clean quite well too!!!
