"I also bought this travel cot based on the reviews…"
I also bought this travel cot based on the reviews on this site but was very disappointed with the product. It is fine until baby starts rolling but as soon as my baby could roll she would roll into the side and off the mattress and get stuck and start crying so we had lots of interrupted nights sleep having to go in and pull her out of the rut. My 3yr old god-daughter then slept in it and fell against the frame, twisting it and now it doesn't stand upright and cannot be used at all. Alot of money for a very flimsy product that I wouldn't recommend. We have since bought the Arc 2 which seems much sturdier and we all get a peaceful nights sleep.Read moreLess

"I bought this bushbaby after reading the great reviews on…"
I bought this bushbaby after reading the great reviews on mumsnet and had no idea about travel cots!! However, I now regret buying this product.
Although it was fine while my baby was young and couldn't roll/move, now he's 14 months and fully mobile it's a different story. Essentially this is just a pop up tent and my toddler can easily stand up in it and fall/ lean against it and this means the whole tent moves and rolls. It's not sturdy enough by far, and as it sits on the ground on a thin inflatable mattress, he's also subject to drafts esp if you're staying in an old or cold property/ camping etc. Also, the zip can easily be opened by a crafty toddler, and they can crawl out which is worrying.
On the up side it's extremely portable and very easy to use, but it just doesn't do the job therefore is a complete waste of time!
Other travel cot's lift baby up from the ground about 6 inches and have sturdy mesh sides so baby can't hurt himself, and simply bounces back if they lean or fall on it. Also, there's no way baby can escape one of these cots, whilst it is possible in the bushbaby as the zip is at eye level. In truth this product cost a lot of money and will only be useful once my toddler is old enough to realise he can't lean on it, or crawl out of it and to do so will be dangerous for him. I now have to go and buy a new cot, hopefully one of the more 'playpen' like cots which are very sturdy and will give me more peace of mind.Read moreLess

We travelled for 10 months with this and it never let us down. Goes up in seconds, really light, very compact and very hard wearing. The only thing I can say bad about it is that the first time putting it away takes a bit of doing. There's a video so after that its like riding a bike. We struggled to get our youngest out of it when we returned. Absolutely superb - can't praise it highly enoughRead moreLess
"I bought the NestEgg as a result of reading these…"
I bought the NestEgg as a result of reading these reviews - I was going to buy a Nomad or a Little Life and had never even heard of the NestEgg before I saw it on mumsnet. So I thought I'd add what I think!
- Pops up very quickly and easily and is easy to put away. No poles and it comes in a round bag that all the bits fit into.
- My 4m old baby slept happily in it and we've used it in the garden on a sunny day.
- It is very poorly made. I had to send back the first one I got. They replaced it very quickly but even the new one still looks like it cost 20p to make. Given that I paidRead moreLess
"Very light and easy to take with you on holiday,…"
Very light and easy to take with you on holiday, especially if you are flying and weight must be kept to a minimum. Easy to put up,slightly more difficult to fold up but not that hard once you have done it a few times.
There are a few downsides though. My 18 month old has managed to escape from his. Although the mattress is okay, it isn't as comfortable as some in the more traditional travel cots. The quality of the stitching was not brilliant, the finish could have been neater.Read moreLess

I just got a Nestegg and want to point out that they no longer have a top opening.
It packs up beautifully and my DD loves playing in it.Read moreLess
"Just a great great product. Have used it both as…"
Just a great great product. Have used it both as a travel cot and as a beach tent. (Sand coming off not a problem.) Packs down so flat that it easily fits atop the clothes in an overly-packed suitcase (the full size suitcase, that is, not the carry on kind). Alternatively, it is so light that you can have it as a fairly non-obtrusive carry-on.
Big enough that your LO will get plenty of use out of it and it doesn't 'expire' after 6 or 9 months, like other similar products.
Top marks!Read moreLess
"Love this travel cot. My daughter sleeps in it every…"
Love this travel cot. My daughter sleeps in it every day as I do a nanny share and she sleeps in it for all her naps at my nanny share partners house.
Plus points are:
light - 2kg when folded
flat - folds to size of large, round tray
pops up in 2 seconds, mattress self inflates. It is initially fiddly to fold but that is just practice.
Large - will last her for a while (she is 13 months now)
Only down side I have found is that bag has torn slightly and zip on bag has snapped off but I have checked it as luggage on 6 flights now and so I think I should have put it inside something. I have nothing else bad to say about this product and get many envious comments from friends who have traditional travel cots. Note for anyone thinking about buying - the cot sheets (LEN brand I think) from Ikea fit perfectly on the mattress if you want to pop it inside the cot rather than slide it into the base so your little one sleeps on a sheet rather than the slippery tent material.Read moreLess
