Superb all round. We have three. They go over bumps and even withstand my children making them jump. Expensive, but worth it (we have had several cheap and nasty ones. Never again!.

Bought this for DS's 5th birthday having had 3 years solid use of a Mini Micro. He really wanted the 'microphone' one (the joystick not the t-bar) and is now seen looking rather cool whilst expertly weaving through crowds. Even the big boys at the skateboard park are suitably impressed with it.
It does seem a lot of money for a scooter but is very well made, works like a dream and should last him at least 7 years which works out at aboutRead moreLessMumsnetter feetheart

I bought this for DS's 7th birthday on the strength of the MN reviews. He has the orange joystcik version and adores it. I was initially concerned about how he would cope with the joystcik, but he got the hang of it literally within minutes. He bends down low on it to use it like a skateboard, and I must sya he looks very cool on it.

15-Nov-2009
I bought this for my 7 yr old son after getting the mini micro for my 3 yr old daughter's birthday; they were constantly fighting over it despite being bright pink! He's never really got on with bicycles, but loves this scooter and whizzes along the pavement, keeping up with me on my bike. Not being very coordinated he wisely chose the T bar handle over the joystick.

"We bought my daughter the Maxi Micro for her birthday…"
21-Apr-2009
We bought my daughter the Maxi Micro for her birthday and are delighted with it.As others have said, it does take a bit of time to get used to the joystick but she's fine with this now. The best thing is that unlike the cheaper scooters on the market, it's really strong and smooth over bumps and on rough ground and I'm sure will last much longer. I've spent so much money on the cheap scooters in the past because they always break, so I really think this is money well spent. Scooters are a fab way of getting to school (my daughter is nine so her bike seems so big on the pavement now and she's not quite old enough to ride on the roads). They also take up far less space in the hall! A very good buy.

17-Apr-2009
My kids love this scooter - in fact the older two (10) have been known to bribe my six year old to have a turn. It's a really smooth ride and the wheel mechanism means it's easy to turn and control. The joystick does take a wee bit of getting used to, I think, but my six year old is now a dab hand at it and if I say so myself, looks immensely cool scooting around on it one-handed. It's pricey but it's quality innit?

I have just ordered one for my 5 year old daughter having seen it at a Christmas Fair last week. The two wheels at the front are perfect for her whilst the handlebar stick I hope will make her feel she is more grown-up than her younger sister who is still whizzing about on her mini. Will write more when we receive it but it's about time there was something like this available for the next stage of scooting!

The company let us try the Maxi (ie the proto type) before it is out on the market (due any day now ie mid Nov 08 - orders only on the company's internet site) as my son is disabled. It is great as it has two front wheels and one at the back (with the brake). Adjustable handle. It is a great progression from the Mini Micro - colours this time, black and the other purple. Friendly company. Fast delivery. I have posted about this earlier but others thought I was advertising this product so the post was removed - please note I am not in any way connected with the firm. I am just relieved and happy that my son can now have fun with wheels - so far, unable to cycle and use other scooters. Adults can use the Maxi too!
