I see a lot of people with these and in my humble opinion it encourages the child not to scoot at all but just to treat the scooter as a sort of grown up pushchair. The rule in our family has always been, if you've got your scooter or bike with you it's your responsibility to ride or push it. I have three kids so when the older ones were learning to bike/scoot I had a pushchair and no free hands. My kids never ask me to carry or push their bike or scooter because I never have so it wouldn't occur to them. Rod for your own back!Read moreLess

"Vital when your youngster is first scooting on Pavements…"
The Scoot'n'Pull strap is a brilliant accessory to go with your child's first 3- or 4-wheel scooter when you aren't quite confident that it's a good idea to let them take the scooter out from a nice safe back garden or play park. When the child is over-excited and scooting too fast you can use the strap to keep them nearby. When they are tired and don't want to scoot uphill you can pull them along, and when you go into shops or for any other reason don't want the child on the scooter at all, the handle loops over the back wheel to become a handy carry strap. We use it all the time and recommend it highly - every parent whose young child has a scooter needs one of these.Read moreLess
