We have used a friends tent and found it great for a family of 4 for a weekend away. The porch is an excellent addition and the fitted groundsheet is a must. Easy to put up and down. A good buy.Read moreLess
"We have a Vango 900 and find it takes around…"
We have a Vango 900 and find it takes around 2 hours to erect this tent although this could just be us and it puts us of using it. Size wise it is bigger than some of standard camping pitches so need to make campsite aware.
Comfort wise it is good with lots of room in both sleeping and living area.Read moreLess
"We love this tent. My husband puts it up on…"
We love this tent. My husband puts it up on his own while I entertain the kids - I think it takes him about half an hour! There is so much space for all your kit in the main area, leaving the two bedroom areas clear for sleeping! When our youngest was a baby, we put her in a travelcot with the oldest in a readybed in one of the rooms - they just about fit, but it's tight! Now they just both sleep on a double blow up mattress, which fills the bedroom space, so they don't roll off.Read moreLess

A great family tent. Loads of room in the main area and the porch is a decent size too. We used it with a 3 month old (therefore still doing night feeds) so were a bit squashed in the bedroom with a travel cot beside us - but we did all squeeze in. We are looking forward to next time we use it when the 2 little ones can share a bedroom and we will have our to ourselves. Then there will be ample room in each.
We had rain on both trips to date, but were able to keep in the inner living area totally dry due to the large porch. There is also a back door between the 2 bedrooms which proved very useful, especially for circulating air when the weather was hot. We managed to get ours aboutRead moreLess
"We have the very similar but slightly smaller Vango Diablo…"
We have the very similar but slightly smaller Vango Diablo 400. Officially it sleeps 4, we sleep 5 in it with lots of spare room.
This is our fourth summer with it. it is good, functional, easy and quick to put up and down. 20-30 mins for one competent adult to put up. Quick enough for weekend camping but big enough for a whole week too.Read moreLess
"We have this tent and it is great. If you…"
We have this tent and it is great. If you want a slightly smaller one go for the four person 400. The sown in groundsheet for the inner tents eliminates drafts in the living area (as well as is possible in a tent !) and keeps the inside insect free. There is also a great midge net lining to the door which is great for scottish camping. These used to be made in Scotland but I have a horrible feeling they are maybe not now as the factory seems to be closed.
Also ours has only leaked once and that was only slightly and under EXTREME pressure !
Could do with a few more hooks for hanging things but I think the new models might have this.Read moreLess
"We love this tent! We are a family of four…"
We love this tent! We are a family of four and this is the perfect size for us. We use the fabulous porch area as our kitchen, which means we can keep the main body of the tent and the 'bedrooms' clean. It packs down to a fairly small size as well, so storage when not in use is not a problem.
Against it, I would think twice about taking it to places like France where the pitches tend to be smaller than the UK. The footprint is quite large. Check with your destination campsite first, to ask about pitch sizes.Read moreLess
"Great tent for longer trips. The porch area is big…"
Great tent for longer trips. The porch area is big enough for cooker, table and 4 chairs and the SIG (sewn in groundsheet) keeps the main room snug and insect free. Not much head height in the bed pods. Needs two people to put it up - and has one tie which is very high so at least one tall person required.Read moreLess
