"Having become quite accustomed to the luxury of a caravan…"
Having become quite accustomed to the luxury of a caravan I was dreading a return to tent camping. However, the extra space (we have a very small caravan) of the Mackenzie Cabin was very attractive! It had the edge over the very similar Outwell as my 6'4" husband could stand up and walk around the whole interior and just had to duck rather than bend in the bedroom area.
I liked the fact that the whole front and side zips up, in hot weather this and the range of ventilation flaps etc meant that it was at a very comfortable temperature even in the daytime in France. It was fairly easy to pitch, two of us got it down to a fine art and managed it in under ten minutes minus pegs. I think you might be able to get away with pitching it alone if there was no wind whatsoever - an adult and biggish child would certainly be able to do it. Very impressed by the quality of fabrics, zips etc.
I bought from Camperlands in Manchester, they were very helpful.Read moreLess
