24-Jan-2011
After been told we needed a bike seat I spent some time researching all the well known brands and seats available. Once we had decided on a forward facing seat the only option was to find one with the British kite mark for safety, The Safe-T-Seat was the only seat I found that ticked all the boxes. We are very happy with the seat knowing Matty is safe and comfortable sat up front with me or Sue, the seat was easy to fit and unlike some other seats I've seen doesn't get in the way of my legs whilst out on rides. Massive thumbs up, Andy

What a fantastic product. We were sceptical at first on how our son would like the idea, it was fairly easy to install on my Trek mountain bike, and was the little fella was strapped him he loved it. We use it for nursery every day and all the mums stop and ask me where to buy it from. It feels well built and safe to use. On the down side, wish www.safe-t-seat.co.uk could fit wipers to it !

Hi, this is a fantastic seat, we bought it from www.safe-t-seat.co.uk who are the official distributor in the UK. Very helpful, and next day service
I would strongly recommend the iBert safe-T-seat. It is a lot of fun for my son and I, and it is a great way to get your youngster excited about biking. I've even moved up from laps around the local park to real singletrack rides. My only complaint is that I didn't find out about this product sooner! Had I known, I would have had him in this thing for the last year.
I had no problems with fitting the seat, or riding. I didn't have to adjust my style of riding, I can only assume that the child was too small for the seat in the review below.
We did look at another forward facing seat, but I am told you tend to hit your knees on the back of the seat, but this is not the case with the Safe-T-Seat as it sits further foward.
Well worth the money.Read moreLess2 people found this review helpful.

I purchased this recently and think it's a great seat for my 2 year old. We go for bike rides of about 30 mins at a time (what 2 year old can do anything for more than 30 mins?!) and my son loves being up front and feels like he's doing the steering. Looks great and with the feet over the handlebars you don't clash with your child while peddling. Very happy

I was really disappointed with this seat and wonder if the review below must have been put up by the company! My daughter found it very uncomfortable as very little padding. The seat actually attaches to the handlebars which meant she was thrown around when I ever I turned, and turning wasnt easy with her weight added. The seat was very wobbly and felt cheap, though cost me

We have just started using this for our 17 month old son and I wish we had got it earlier! He loves it and sits very still and interested in the bike as he can see everything going on. He is desparate to get on the bike at the moment. Feels very stable and easy to steer.

This is a great seat, giving our younger son a wonderful view, while our older son rides along on his Trail-A-Bike. It is easy to fit on your bike, simple to take off and on, puts your child in a place where you can talk to them and keep an eye on them.
The only drawbacks are: having to lower the bike saddle to reach the ground while seated as there isn't room between seat and saddle to stand there; and the harness which tends to slip off the child's shoulders (but supposedly they have recently redesigned the harness).
I wish we had got this seat when my older son was a baby!Read moreLessMumsnetter livinginCanada

The best bike seat ever, admittedly I haven't tried any other front seated bike seats, but we did use to have a rear mounted one, where our DD got the not very nice view of our backsides. Our 10 month old loves this seat, never complains, always vears her hat, it is easy to cycle with, and a real head turner. Worth every penny.

15-Jul-2008
It is front mounted seat and so much better for our son when we are out and about, as he loves waving and saying hi to everyone! We struggled to find a front mounted seat in the UK and we ended getting ours from the states but they now have distributors in the UK.
My husband is 6ft and was worried he would hit his knees but finds it really easy to use and much easier than the rear mounted one we used at Center Parcs.
Our son is now 18 months and I think we will have plenty of use out of it, we also have a 4 month old so we are getting a second seat to use next summer.
They cost approx.Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.
