"I bought this seat about 6 months ago, and have…"

I bought this seat about 6 months ago, and have since used it 5 days a week, dropping my 2 years old to the nursery.
It is sturdy, easy to use/install, and very comfortable for the child.
Everyone goes on about being able to recline the seat as a bonus for the child comfort, but for me it is a necessary requirement to make sure the angle is right: I did try a non-reclining seat on my bike, but due to the fixed angle with my frame it ended up tilted foward too much. I was however able to adjust this one to a nice level, and of course if my kid ever wanted to sleep (though so far it has never been the case!), then yes, that's possible too.
The mounting bracket stays nicely in place once installed, and taking the seat on/off the bike is very easy, with visual indicators when putting it on to show that is it poperly fitted.
Additionnally to the reclining feature, this seat can also very easily be adjusted horizontally (to be closer/further from the saddle), which is usefull if some day you need to carry a large rucksack but don't want to give your child a black eye.
Security features are exactly as safe as for all the other accredited seats (including the cheaper ones), don't let anyone tell you that the more you pay the more secure your seat is, that is simply not true. This seat comes with a 3-point harness that can be locked/unlocked with only one hand (very handy, as the other is often busy steadying the bike), and there are straps to secure the child's feat so they can't move them about and get them in the wheels or anywhere else. In any case, the seat also comes with added protectors to block feet access to the wheel.
My only grudge is the lack of rear reflector/light, but forRead moreLess3 people found this review helpful.

Love this product. We have the florescent shine in the dark one. We've been using this since DD was able to sit up confidently on her own and are still using it - she's nearly 4!
Very easy to fit but you need to follow the instructions.... you can buy extra fitting for another bike which makes it easy to transfer from one bike to another.
The Hamax Sleepy can mount to a bike with or without a luggage carrier. A child will sleep in safety and comfort because the seat angle can be adjusted. One point fixing. Designed for ergonomic posture. Good side support for the head. Side handles. Adjustable foot rests.Read moreLess2 people found this review helpful.

We have had two of these bike seats over 6 years. We have each time lost the foot rests within a year as they seem to come off quite easily after a time and the strap can be tricky to get off with one hand.
