"Worth the extra…"
21-Apr-2012
We bought this because it was rated safest at the time, having never used the ISOFIX in either of our cars.
Very light and easy to fit, although I had to struggle with one side of the isofix in my car because the clips were hidden under the seats.
DD has had a growth spurt so we've had to make the seat taller. That was quite straightforward and we didn't need to take the seat out of the car to do it.
My only gripe is that although we have it on as much of a recline as it will go, DD's head falls forward when she falls asleep, but that seems to be something that happens with all this style of seats.
She seems comfortable in it and the clasp that holds the belt across her shoulder works wellRead moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

"Bought this seat after reading all the reviews on Which…"

Bought this seat after reading all the reviews on Which - this came out as the safest in 2010 and is probably still up there.
It's comfortable, sturdy, looks good, and has lasted very well so far (had it just over a year).
Dead easy to install, lightweight (if bulky) to carry, and while it's not the cheapest on the market I'd rather have the safest than the cheapest.
Plus I love the Isofix fittings which are very easy to fold away if you're using the seat without Isofix.Read moreLessMumsnetter Seriya

"After checking the Which? website and reading the reviews on…"
31-Oct-2011
After checking the Which? website and reading the reviews on the Kiddicare website plus other sites I took the plunge and ordered 2 of these car seats for my 4 and 6 year old. We have recently changed our car and the new one has isofix fittings (the old car had built in 2nd stage car seats - so we were going to be without booster type seats).
The children both say they are really comfortable and make no fuss at all at having to sit in the same place each time. We have 4 children and an MPV, so there is often some mediation needed as to who sits where!! They were really easy to fit [...] They do recline (There are some reviews that say they don't tilt/recline) but it is a slight recline and probably is a little bit dependent on the pitch of the seat that the Kidfix Car Seat is attached to. All in all we are very pleased with these seats and having the added safety of the isofix fitting is greatRead moreLess1 person found this review helpful.
