Manduca Manduca Baby and Child Carrier

All the benefits of 'Baby Wearing' but without the complicated bits!!

I tried out the Manduca at The Baby Show and instantly fell in love! We bought one there and then and haven't looked back. I've used other baby carriers in the past and have found them ok until I found the Manduca and cannot believe how much better it is! I started using it immediately with my 10 month old - she slept soundly on my front whist we wandered around the show and I barely knew I was wearing her. Later on when she was awake (after a quick snack and a nappy change) she happily travelled on my back again very comfortable for both of us. I wear her on my back around the house sometimes when she's restless but I need to get the chores done.

I also use it with my 3 year old; a 30 minute walk is tough going on little legs when you've just spent 3 hours playing at nursery but riding on Mummy's back is so much fun. People are astounded that I carry the 3 year old but we find it fantastic - it gives us a chance to chat about his day as he's at the right height for my ears, I know he's safe away from the busy road and it means we get home quicker and so get to eat lunch actually at lunchtime! I just can't get across to people how easy it is to carry him using the Manduca.

There are a couple of things I struggle with - firstly I can't reach the head support when using the carrier on my back so if my little one falls asleep I'm wary of her head flopping about and secondly I find the hip carrier a bit complicated but maybe that's just me not reading the instructions right! Other than that its spot on!

For me the Manduca gives me all the benefits of baby wearing without the hassle of having to learn how on earth to wrap 5 meters of material! I wanted a carrier that was simple yet versatile enough to use with both of my children and that is exactly what the Manduca has given me. I would definitely rate this product 5 stars!

I love wearing my baby. I've tried the Bjorn and Moby wrap, and prefer the Manduca if I were to have one sling. Personally I have all three - but find I use this one the most. It is by far the easiest on your back and core muscles, which is important postpartum. It can also be used from birth through toddlerhood!

It's a really lovely sling that lets the baby be right up against you, unlike the Bjorn which has fabric between you. It is similar to the Ergo carrier, but has a few upgrades.
