"Comfy, great variety of holds…"
22-Apr-2013
I got this for my 6mo DS. I also tried the Ergo, which I found awkward to put on by myself. This is easy to clip on and off once you get the nack. The thing that swung it for me was the four different types of hold, traditional facing inwards at the front, facing outwards, hip carry and back. DS loves all of them (except the back which we haven't tried yet) and they suit different moods. If he's grumpy and clingy, I do a hip hold. General going out I do a facing me hold and if he's getting irritable while out, I put him facing outwards which he loved. my husband uses this and finds it comfortable and secure.

"Comfortable for mum, dad and baby! Wonderful for settling grumpy baby.…"
10-Feb-2013
I brought this carrier following a recommendation from a nurse on NICU where my daughter spent a week. I am so glad we got this carrier. It is comfortable for both my husband and myself to wear ( he is 6 foot 2 and I am 5 foot). Our daughter has been comfortable in it from about 6 weeks old ( the guidance says not to use it with babies under 7 lbs, otherwise we would have used it earlier) and she still loves it at 9 months. We have used it pretty much daily and if my DD is a little grumpy or unable to settle she will calm down after a minute or two in the carrier. She loves facing in when she is tired and facing out or on my hip when she wants to see what is going on. All in all I think this has been my single best purchase as a new mum,

"Perfect from baby to toddler…"
15-Oct-2012
I did a lot of research before committing to buy a carrier and I was not disappointed with this one.
I have used it since my daughter was 3 months old (diagnosed with silent reflux and hated lying down in her pram). She is now 14 months and I still use the carrier on a regular basis. It is very comfortable and ergonomic, easy to use for a novice baby wearer like me and versatile. It's made of organic cotton so baby sucking on the parts of fabric is not a problem, it is safe.
The only downside was that I don't find hip carry position comfortable, so we mainly use front carry. But this could be just a personal preference.
I would highly recommend this carrier, it has a feel of a soft mei tai but with buckles so easy if this is your first carrier. Well worth the money and looks like new after a year of regular use.Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

"My son is 11mo and I find him far too…"
09-Sep-2011
My son is 11mo and I find him far too heavy and long now at 20lbs to carry in a Baby Bjorn or Kari-me wrap sling that we used when he was younger. I had been debating buying an Ergo but was hesitant as he loves facing out and you can't do this in this sling. When I discovered the Becco Gemini it seemed like the perfect solution.
We have only had it a few days but so far I am very happy with it. I would say the facing out position is only comfortable enough for me and him for short periods such as around the house or popping to the shops(it rubs his inner thighs). However, it is really easy to use and very comfortable generally. I like that the shoulder straps cross over on your back making it even more comfortable and supportive for front carrying. I think the straps are better positioned than on the Ergo, as they seemed to cut into his arms a bit on the Ergo. Also he seems to sit in it better. Even though he is a tall baby he sat too low in the Ergo and it rubbed around his ears/he coudn't see out properly. It would be handy to have a little pocket on the front for caryying bits like the Ergo. However, I like that you can choose from a range of funky patterns.
Overall I would say it is a bit more versatile and slightly better designed than the Ergo. Worth the little bit extra cost.Read moreLessMumsnetter ellabella2

"It took a lot of effort to find this sling…"
28-Apr-2011
It took a lot of effort to find this sling as it was the only one that met our requirements, to allow DD to face in or out and support her properly, not allow her legs to dangle as in a Baby Bjorn. The price did seem a bit steep but it is a fantastic carrier.
It's very easy to use and adjust so we can both use it without spending time getting it set up. Most of the weight is on your hips, rather than your shoulders, so it's comfortable to use for a long period. So far we've used it with DD on the front facing in and out but we're looking forward to trying the hip and back carry when she's older. I can see us getting plenty of use from it over the coming months.Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

"I love this carrier...I am not normally a structured carrier…"
06-Apr-2011
I love this carrier...I am not normally a structured carrier fan, I normally use a Didymos woven wrap or a stretchy wrap when my daughter was smaller.
I wanted a more clip on type affair (but didn't want something unsupportive like a Bjorn) for quick trips out for the car when faffing with tails would be a pain, but it is used all the time. Comfortable, easy to adjust etc etc, DD is very happy in it. Even my very tall DH find it easy to use.
Pricey, but worth every penny.Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

"Like the ergo, but with anything that could possibly annoy…"
13-Feb-2011
Like the ergo, but with anything that could possibly annoy you about the ergo replaced with a comfier, more solid and simpler version.
Doesn't have a proper hood, but the top can be folded up or down. On the up setting provides enough neck support for when baby is sleeping, with the added advantage that it doesn't annoy the baby when he wakes up.Read moreLessMumsnetter ecobatty
