"Comfortable but perhaps over-priced?…"
The Babybjorn miracle was the 3rd sling we tried - we got it as it's supposed to be more supportive for your back.
It's very easy to put the baby in and out of. The system allows the front panel to be removed completely so you don't have to disturb a sleeping baby when you take them out.
The reinforced back is definitely a lot more comfortable than most semi-structured carriers. The design of the straps is supposed to allow you to adjust where you carry the weight (on the hips versus on the waist), and it is easy to adjust the straps to move the weight a little (but perhaps not as much as the marketing implies).
The ability to face the baby outwards is great now DS is a little older and likes to see what's going on.
The straps don't quite go tight enough for my liking (I'm 5ft and fairly skinny). This probably means I'm not getting the full benefit of the extra back support, but after longer periods I feel I'm taking more weight on my shoulders than I would like and less round my waist/hips.
Because of the design of the back support it doesn't fold up particularly small, so taking it out as a back-up plan doesn't really work.
This is the most expensive babybjorn and I'm not convinced it is significantly superior in terms of back support to the babybjorn active (which is much cheaper).Read moreLess
