"Useful first seat but couple of drawbacks need to bear in mind…"
We bought this as we do long journeys (12 hours) up to parents in Scottish Highlands from London. We wanted one where baby could sleep and be flat. Unfortunately you can't use the flattened seat option for travelling in car but useful in the rest periods so DS wasn't totally upright the whole journey and we didn't have to disturb him by taking out too much. DS was almost 8lb when born and fitted in perfectly.
We only get the chin drop problem when it's time to adjust harness at back of seat to stop this. When you first get it, it's set for older child - don't know why! Two magnets in the chest strap help hold the straps out to the sides when loading child into carrier - very handy as you have to watch you don't bang their head on the handle whilst manipulating child in (unless you fold it flat first)!
It is heavy as you can also use as rocker - very handy if going somewhere such as a meeting and you can rock baby off to sleep using foot! Draw back is as DS now older (almost 7 months) although we can still put him in and carry - it's getting more of a struggle to lift and click into frame (we're quite sporty so we're used to lifting weights). Those who don't have much upper body strength would really struggle. We've started to just use as car seat and leave in car and take pushchair option instead as getting too heavy to lift out with him in it to clip into frame.
We didn't use Isofix seat plate as our car too old to have fittings but it works very well on seatbelt - bit fiddly at first but once get the hang it takes about 5 seconds. There are two settings on the handle for cars depending on the angle of the back seat. It either drops half way down or 3/4s down. Very useful as some cars have more of a slope down into back rest than others.
We used this the first 3 months as exclusive pram as well as carseat. Loved the fact it clicked into frame with no fuss or extension bits (that other leading brands needed to use). DS always felt really secure and loved and the 'cuddle' feeling of the seat. Just watch for child overheating. Due to way it's made - the polystyrene molding at back retains baby heat so we've learned to strip him down to vest and trousers and leave blanket off in the car. DS doesn't like it when he's too hot. Out and about - a light cardy and blanket on top was sufficient and if wind blowing then using the plastic cover that comes with pushchair frame is a great windshield and really does keep heat in. When pushing his pram in winter at mum's when it was -10c - we used to put our hands periodically inside the plastic bubble to thaw them out such was heat generated and retained. I'd buy again if given option because for the first 3-4 months it was used constantly.Read moreLess
"So Very Bad…"
Ridiculously heavy but more importantly a new baby is so upright when the seat is in position that the babies head falls forward right down on to chest. Went back to Mothercare and staff were so concerned they gave us a car seat free of charge. Perhaps when baby is able to hold her head up it maybe useable but until then i wouldn't touch this seat with a barge pole.Read moreLess

"Stupidly heavy, baby slumps forward…"
I have the older model (photographed) which I bought for the recline option and the easy transfer onto a Stokke pram. It is horrendously heavy so we can't/dont lift in and out of the car unless absolutely necessary. Even though it reclines (when on a pram) it is designed for safety with lots of padding so the child can't move it's head too easily. My daughter hated spending time in it rather than the pram so we ended up taking the full pram too, so not the space saver we hoped for.
We've tried it in three BMW's and the angle of the back seats mean that the baby slumps forward to their knees no matter how tightly you do them up. Stress ! Definitely get a car fitting.
Wish we had gone for a more popular brand and not fallen for the marketing hype. Great concepts but just not practicalRead moreLess
"This seat is supposed to make life easier transferring baby…"
This seat is supposed to make life easier transferring baby from car to pushchair but its so heavy it is just not practical. It mostly stays in car which is a shame as one of the reasons i purchased it was to match my Stokke which now seems pointless. It can recline to flat position when on chassis which is great and also another reason why I purchased it and paid way more than I wanted to for a car seat but for the amount of times I have actually reclined it, it wasn't worth the money.Read moreLess
