"Maxi Cosi is a good quality car seat, we used…"
Maxi Cosi is a good quality car seat, we used this until my son was almost 11 months old. The buckles are a little hard to snap for first time mommies like me, especially if the baby is wiggly, but I'm sure most car seat buckles are not easy to snap. The accessories that go with Maxi Cosi are awesome, especially the infant footmuff wrap for cold winter days. Overall, I love the Maxi Cosi and fits perfectly with the Quinny stroller.Read moreLess
"I have used this car seat for 7 months now,…"
I have used this car seat for 7 months now, apparently my baby is bang on average height and weight for his age and he still looks comfy and safe, although I am sure it won't be long before we are looking for the next stage seat. He isn't cramped width ways at all, although does reach and push against the actual cars seat with his feet, but I think this would be the same with any backwards facing seat. This car seat is heavy to carry and I avoid it at all costs, but I guess the 8kg of baby is not helping, so probably all are heavy! I bought this seat as he could lie flatter, which is supposed to be better for them when they are new borns, although he does now try wedge his elbows behind him when he first gets put in the seat as he wants to look around I guess, but he is fine once he lies back and starts playing with his toys that hang from the 'roll' bar! I find the seat easy to fit in the car and can get it in and out quite quickly, probably as quick as any other seat. My partner moans everytime he has to do it as he forgets to clip the seat belt in first. My baby gets quite hot in his seat, but I just dress him accordingly and keep a little blanket in the car. It takes up quite a bit of room in the car as it is quite long, so its not so comfy for my 6ft5 brother if he is sitting infront of the car seat, but everyone else seems to be ok! Pricewise, they all seemed to be of a similar price in the shop I went to.Read moreLess

It's easy to get lo in and out if you don't remove the seat from the car each time as the belt goes underneath the seat. No fiddling with rethreading straps each time lo grows as moving the head rest forward and up does it. It clicks easily onto the loola frame with no fixing kit needed.Read moreLess

I've been using this for 6 months now, I've found it good although it will not last my son much longer he looks squashed in (he's 20lbs now) so will only last half the expected time. However the time I've used it I've found it easy to use, baby looks Safe & happy, sleeps every car journey we take. It's heavy to carry around as are all car seats. Clicks onto the loola easily without adding extra parts and looks really good lots of comments. There is a base available and makes putting it in the car much quicker & easier. Can be used for a snooze too as it can be easily rocked.Read moreLess

The strap mechanism broke, meaning that when I tightened the strap it actually wasn't tightened but seemed like it was. In an accident, this could result in a very serious injury or worse.
The replacement seat did exactly the same. Check out the flimsy bit of plastic over the strap where you pull - if you pull your strap up to tighten rather than just outwards, you too could end up with the same problem.
Please ensure that you check the straps are tight across you baby's body everytime if you have this car-seat.Read moreLess

Excellent. The seatbelt routing is different to most other group 0/0+ seats, but we find it much easier to use, and requires less seatbelt length to go round the seat (this was an issue with the Maxi Cosi in our Galaxy). Looks like it offers good protection and comfort. As a bonus, it looks stylish, is less common that other brands, and has attracted many admiring glances and commentsRead moreLess
"Once you've got the hang of it, installing the seat…"
Once you've got the hang of it, installing the seat in a car is quite easy and it's very secure, so nice and safe. Chose the Creatis as it's much flatter than our previous seat (Mama & Papas) and is brilliant as part of the loola travel system. It is a bit cumbersome to carry around, but not much more than other car seats.Read moreLess
"The only seat that would fit our Ford Ranger pickup…"
The only seat that would fit our Ford Ranger pickup that has short belts, because of its alternate belt threading (under the seat rather than across). We leave it in the car all the time and my DH forgets to move the handle back when he puts the baby in. She seems comfy but there doesn't seem to be another set of slots to adjust the shoulder straps.Read moreLess

Overall an excellent seat, and just a bit different from almost every other car seat for this age range. Others have found it difficult to fit, but we find it very easy to fit, and in particular will suit any car with shorter length seat belts (the belt goes beneath the seat so doesn't need to stretch so far) - we struggled to fit the Maxi Cosi Cabrio on the back of a Ford Galaxy for this reason. An added bonus is that it is much easier to lift your baby out of the seat while leaving the seat in the car. Well shaped carry handle and useful sun/weather hood. No complaints.Read moreLess

This is a "super stylish", "funky", "luxurious" car seat that is highly rated for comfort: "It comes with an insert which enables babies to lie almost flat which is ideal for newborns". Reviewers loved the well-padded shoulder straps, head hugger and hood: "it really looks snug, sturdy and safe". Some found it "a bit tricky to install" but once it's fixed it sits "really firmly" on the seat. It's quite long which is "a plus because it lasts your child longer but not so good for the front passenger, who may lose some leg room". Overall: "a good buy".Read moreLess

Looks funky and appears very safe for baby. Good head support when little. Also fits easily onto chassis of Loola. Main drawback is that it is a real pain to fit. No click clack system and you have to thread the seatbelt thru numerous catches. Makes it a nightmare to use day to day when you are in and out of the car.Read moreLess

a nightmare to put in the car and no easy click clack base. doesnt fit onto the sueprmarket trolleys that have car seat holder. heavy and cumbersome to carry. however, looks great, baby is in a more horizontal position and it looks sturdy and safe.Read moreLess

I found it hard to fit in some cars as it seemed longer than others I've used. I liked the high sides as it made it seem safer. It felt sturdy. This car seat was not tested as part of the Which? car seat saftey checks, but it is made by the same company who make Maxi Cosi seats. They always get good ratings. The handle was comfy to hold which made it easy to carry.Read moreLess

"An amazing looking car seat, with a real 'surround' feel…"
An amazing looking car seat, with a real 'surround' feel to it, felt very safe for my baby. A bit tricky to install at first, once you get into practice it gets easier and it fits very sturdily in the car. One of the flattest lying positions you can get in a car seat. pretty easy to adjust the head rest as the baby grows. In the summer the baby can get a bit hot as it really does 'hug' the baby all round, so it can get a bit sweaty in there! I chose it because I chose the Loola travel system, and it is one of the safer seats around, but another deciding factor was the ergonomic handle - makes it much easier to carry with your hand or in the crook of your arm.
One little niggle - the plastic reinforcement in the hood wore through the fabric very quickly and poked through - a potential hazard to the baby.Read moreLess

Looks great and really comfortable for sleeping as they lie almost flat. When they are older though they can't play or see out very well for the same reason. Also I found it did not fit in some friend's cars as the seat belts were not long enough to go around the back of it, being so long. It is also tricky to fit as the lap belt goes underneath, you need to get the hang of it.Read moreLess

Disappointing and wouldn't recommend it. Fiddle to get in and out of car - need a long seat belt. Great to attach to pushchair chasis so don't have to wake baby. Baby grew out of it very quickly and virtually had to prise him out of it as it's narrow and he sits deeper in it.Read moreLess

This car seat is great for longer trips as it lies back more than most. The best bit about it for winter babies is the cosytoes accessory. It has a part that covers the babies head and makes them so cosy and snug. I am always being complemented on the car seat particularly when using the cosytoes.Read moreLess

Baby seems very well protected. Great being able to fit on chasis, without having to get the whole pram out. Great sunshade.
Heavy to carry as baby gets older. I leave carseat in car and lift baby in and out. Baby getting cramped at 3 months, don't know how much longer it will last.
Needs practise to fit into car but very secure once you get the hang of it.Read moreLess
