We purchased this with the Rider (see separate review). The Light is a very versatile car seat. Easy to change positions and adjust. The downside for this versatility is that it is heavier than a standard carseat. There is nothing else like it on the market. Very easy to transfer a sleeping child from car to chassis and back again. We have also used this as an alternative to a moses basket when visiting friends and with the mattress supplied meant we didn't have to have another bulky item with us.

Brilliant as part of the Jane Slalom reverse pushchair. My baby lay flat until 4 months whenever we went on long journeys and especially at first, this was a real godsend. I was very anxious about not leaving her sleeping in an upright position as a small baby. There is no doubt that it is heavier and we moved to a maxi-cosi at around seven months because we were given one and it was much lighter. It also makes the slalom reverse chassis a pram meaning overall it's a cheaper all-in-one system.

"It's the only car seat on the market which has"
26-Aug-2011
It's the only car seat on the market which has no time limits, as it can be used as a lie-flat or sitting up infant car seat in the car. Helps baby breathe easy and the lie-flat options is recommended by health officials for long journeys. It's a more spacious model, so your baby can travel in the safer rearward facing position for longer. Up to 13kg / 18 months approx. Can be used as a carrycot for overnight sleeping, just add a mattress. Safer 5 point safety harness allows for a larger fasten surface instead of the usual 3 point harness on infant car seats. Easy to belt fit in both lie-flat and sit up positions, or add an optional ISOFIX base. It has the Pro-fix system (patented) which locks and unlocks the car seat with just one hand. Eliminating the need to buy and use awkward fitting kits.
