"Good value and compact for an extended rear-facer…"
13-Jun-2012
We bought this because it fitted easily into our small car and offered better protection than a forward facing seat. DD1 fitted into it quite happily and probably still would be at 3.8yo if her younger sister hadn't outgrown her baby seat sooner than expected.
Common concerns are that a child can't see out or will get bored but they can see out of the side and the rear window so they don't get bored. We never had any problems with car sickness, crying etc.
The seat is very easy to fit and use.
The only downside we found is that it doesn't recline but we were happy to trade that option for increased safety.Read moreLess2 people found this review helpful.

"Fantastic rear-facing car seat for up to 4 years…"
09-May-2012
I have used two of these car seats for the past 18 months and they are great. It's very easy for my 2-year old to get in and out of by herself. Easy to install as rear-facing in both my cars, Vauxhall Corsa 3-door and Meriva 5-door. Bought them both from InCarSafety online and they arrived very quickly. We have two sets of straps so we can change cars quickly but probably unecessary tbh as it only takes a minute to move the straps. I also bought the headrests which are great for a smaller child. My two girls look very comfortable in them, even on longer journeys, and sleep most of the way unless they are singing along to the radio.
I also have a Britax Hi-Way to use in my mum's car in Sweden which we are very happy with too.Read moreLess2 people found this review helpful.

"Rear facing safety…"
20-Apr-2012
Whilst this rear-facing seat is awkward to move between our two cars, it is comfortable for my daughter (19 months) and has good build quality. It fits fine in both our Mitsubishi Carisma and Vauxhall Corsa and whilst I haven't had to wash it yet, the cover is removable for machine washing. Adjusting the height of the straps is simple and I feel reassured that my daughter is safer than any front facing seat.

"Just bought this car seat for our 9 month old…"
09-Apr-2012
Just bought this car seat for our 9 month old dd. She's long (98th centile) and was cramped in her maxicosi group 0.
She is very comfortable in it and naps nno problem. The five point harness is very secure for little wrigglers.
It's suprisingly easy to fit using the tethers and seat belt.
It is one of the cheapest rear facing group 1 car seats and was very pleased to find a stockist in Belfast.Read moreLess2 people found this review helpful.

fabulous seat - so versatile! Still have my 4.5 year old rear facing with tons of room. Also can be used with lap belts, which is a major advantage. (I hate lap belts, but coaches often only have lap belts). We have used it rear facing on coach journeys with a lap belt very securely.

"We also bought this seat from the In Car Safety…"
15-Jun-2011
We also bought this seat from the In Car Safety Centre in Milton Keynes.
It's much more comfy than our previous baby seat, and my 18 m.o. enjoys looking out of both back and side windows. He can also see the driver by looking over his shoulder when he wants to.
DS sleeps in this seat much more easily than in his previous one! :)
There's lots of room for growth despite DS being 98th centile for height and weight.
We have a small car (Ford KA) but it fits without problems and is quick to fit & easy to transfer between cars.
I'd definitely recommend it.Read moreLess3 people found this review helpful.

"We have just recently purchased a Britax Two Way Elite…"
31-May-2011
We have just recently purchased a Britax Two Way Elite from the In Car Safety Centre in Milton Keynes. The staff there were really helpful and advised us on car seat selection, how to fit, and how to adjust as your child grows.
The seat looks good, feels very sturdy and comfortable and our 15 month old looks very happy in it.
It is fitted by passing the rear seat belt through the base of the seat, and also connected to a set of tether straps which are threaded through the front seat.
We are very happy to keep DS rearfacing and are so glad that we found out it about from a recent Sunday Times article on rearfacing group 1 car seats.Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

07-May-2011
I have our DS (1yo) sitting in the front passenger seat (airbag deactivated) for most journeys, and love being able to see and interact with him. It's easy to move the seat to the back for when my DH is coming too.
This is one of the least expensive rear-facing seats, and also the least complicated as it doesn't have a 'leg'. We find it easy to install and swap between cars (recommend a second set of tethers for this). We bought ours at In Car Safety Centre MK where the customet service was excellent. Unfortunately if you want a safe rear facing car seat there are not many places in the UK to buy them.Read moreLessMumsnetter Boisbach

"I love our Two Way Elite - it is easy…"
18-Mar-2011
I love our Two Way Elite - it is easy to install rear facing even with the tethers (with make the seat extra safe anyway). It has two belt routing paths so even if you have shorter seat belts, like we have, it can still be installed.
It is quick to turn forward facing although obviously it isn't as safe forward facing (not a design problem just a physics problem) so good for older children who are unable to use a booster or for tall slim children who out grow an ordinary forward facing harnessed seat before they reach an age/size when they could use a booster.
My eldest daughter rear faced in this seat until she was over 4 years old - we only turned her around then as she is very leggy and was getting cramped next to her sister's seat (we have 3 across in our car) as she didn't have much room to sit cross legged. In a car with only 2 across the back she wouldn't have been turned around until she out grew it.
She is currently 5 years old/112cm+ and has lots of room to grow before her eyes reach the back of the seat (the point at which the seat is out grown) approx 8cm of torso growth.
All in all a very comfortable seat which is easy to install and has a good range of uses for a long product life. I am very pleased we purchased the Britax Two Way Elite.Read moreLess8 people found this review helpful.

16-Mar-2011
My 18 month DS is currently rear facing in the TWE, he seems very very happy in it! It was easy to install and we can easily move it between two cars- we have an extra set of tethers. We took it on holiday recently and it fitted into the hire car without a problem., it was also very light to transport. DS has been in the seat since he was 13 months old. My 6 year old DD is in her TWE but forward facing. I love that she is still in a 5 point harness and very comfy. Installation in FF mode is super easy.

15-Mar-2011
Love this seat, wanted to keep my son rearfacing up until at least 4, went to incarsafetycentre in Milton Keynes, they were very helpful and fitted the seat. My son is very happy in it and can look out the window. it does take up quite a bit of space, this wasn't a problem for me though as I'm only 5ft so don't need much leg room. its very easy to get my son in and out of and was one of the cheapest rearfacing group 1 seats. Would highly recommend it.

"I agree with the previous reviews - easy to install…"
21-Jan-2011
I agree with the previous reviews - easy to install and swap from car to car, lightweight too. It's very simple which I like (less to break/go wrong). It reclines according to the position of the seat in front, rather than anything to do with the carseat itself. We went to In Car Safety at Milton Keynes to get it fitted and they said this seat takes up the least space of all the rearfacing ones they do. Even so, if I want it to recline, the space in the passenger seat is rather limited. I think this is an issue with all rearfacing seats though.
Only negative? The clip is a bit annoying but you get used to itRead moreLessMumsnetter mistressploppy

Fantastic seat! can not fault it at all.
After doing some research we decided to keep our little one rearfacing for as long as possible. we tried several Rf seats in our car but this one was the right for us. its leightweight, easy to move from car to car and will hopefully last till my son is 6 years old. it can go FFing from 9kg (if needed) and as a booster seat from 15kg.
my son is 14 months and very happy in his new seat.Read moreLessMumsnetter JuneMummy

"I decided to go for a rear facing seat because…"
19-Jul-2010
I decided to go for a rear facing seat because of the safety tests. This one was the cheapest option I could find and so far I've been happy with it. It's quite light and was easier to install than I expected although you do have to be careful to keep the backs of the front seats level if you're putting it in the middle of the back seat.
Ds (15mo) is really comfortable in it and has plenty of room to grow. Also it will go forward facing and act as a booster. It has a weight limit of 25kg rear facing so will last him some time. I was concerned about putting ds forward facing as he still seems very little so was really pleased to find this seat which offers him good protection.Read moreLess2 people found this review helpful.

19-Jul-2010
We love this seat. It is so easy to install, lightweight enough to easily move between cars.
It rear-faces to 25kg (55lb) and is adjustable to allow extra legroom for older children, so your child should be able to rear-face for plenty of time.
Also one of the least expensive extended rear-facing seats on the marketRead moreLess3 people found this review helpful.
