"Good sturdy seat…"
02-Nov-2012
This seat is very well made and offers plenty of padding and support. Unfortunately, due to the incline of the rear seat, the recline of the car seat is pretty much cancelled out. This means that when baby falls asleep their head tends to lul forward, which is not ideal. The seat fits very securely into the car and I would buy one again.

"I have been so pleased with the Besafe izi Combi.…"
04-Oct-2011
I have been so pleased with the Besafe izi Combi. Our youngest is about to turn two and still has plenty of space in this rear facing car seat. She is nice and high and can see out of the window and does not seem at all concerned she is rear facing still. The down side of it is that it does take up quite a lot of space. For us this is not a problem as we have a big enough car, but I'm not so sure it would be comfortable for other passengers around in a smaller car.

Having done my research, I discovered that rear facing are by far the safest option for under 4s. This seat is excellent, comfy and easy to install. My son is quite content rear facing. The seat is big so check it fits in your make of car. The Securatot website is an excellent reference for making sure it fits.

This is a great rear facing car seat, which is well built and feels solid, but comfy. We have the isofix version, which with a small amount of practise is easy to fit. It is very heavy, but I can swap it between our cars fine and I'm only small. There is great visibility from this seat as its high up and our little one remarks on everything all around her. It is a big seat, but actually fits fine without taking up huge amounts of space. We also have a Brio Zento as a spare seat, which takes up more room and isn't as well made in comparison. I would definitely recommend this seat without hesitation.

Absolutely brilliant. Parents in the UK don't know enough about rearfacing car seats
This car seat is now one of only three car seats in the world to pass the extremely stringent Test Plus test in Sweden (the other ones being the isofix version of this seat and the KISS). This test goes above and beyond the standard ECE test, and is the first test to measure the forces placed on your childs neck- very important as a front end collision in a forward facing car seat has a much greater risk of snapping / breaking your childs spinal cord at the neck. The research is finally coming out in the UK about this - rearfacing car seats for under 4's are 5 TIMES SAFER.... This seat is comfortable, and very secure. There are isofix and non isofix versions available. It is tethered with a support leg, and special arm to tension the seat into place. Installation was easy with the help of very good instructions, and to make the portability easier I've installed a second set of tether straps in my husbands vehicle - making the process much quicker and easier. The seat sits quite high, so even the smallest little ones will have a great view over the back seat and out the back window. It sits some way off the backseat, so they have lots of leg room (and even big 4 years olds look comfortable in it rearfacing :)) It can also be faced forward, if at any point you want to do that at any point. All in all, a fantastic seat, and I'd recommend to anyone to read the research about rearfacing - there is a huge difference in the safety out there - don't let the major retailers line of "they've all passed the same test" fool you - it is not true....some are safer than others..... major retailers like Boots are now selling this seat :)Read moreLess2 people found this review helpful.

This is a great rear-facing seat. It's well padded, and includes an extra seat pad for smaller babies. Our 2.5 yr old loves it, he has plenty of legroom and is nice and high so he can see easily out of the back/side windows. It's one of only 3 seats to pass the stringent Swedish Plus test.
It is a bit heavy, and fiddly to install, so not one to buy if you need to move between cars. But once installed it doesn't move an inchRead moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

"This rear facing Group 1 seat proved a great deal…"
03-May-2010
This rear facing Group 1 seat proved a great deal easier to install than I thought it might. It fits solidly into the car, with plenty of room for either crossed legs or legs either side of the seat. Very high in the car, my 2 and 4 year olds both really apreciate the better view of the outside world that they have.
Having had to wash the covers once already, I can also testify that removing/refitting these is not hard (a little fiddly as with most 5-pt harness seats), and they washed very well. There's lots of cushioning for younger children in this seat, and a good recline which can be altered with the seat in situ and the child in the seat.
Can be used forward facing with seatbelt only, but I have never done this so cannot comment.Read moreLessMumsnetter Loopymumsy

"We love this seat. We read about the safety benefits…"
12-Mar-2009
We love this seat. We read about the safety benefits of keeping a child rearfacing till the age of at least 4 and this seat is perfect to do that job. Our son, now 18 months, has always been happy to sit in the seat, it is so secure you can't budge it at all, and it is nice and high up in the car for his viewing out of the side and rear windows. The fabric covering is machine washable and the 5 point harness has rubber on the undersides to prevent slipping. Very impressed. It did take about 1/2 hour to fit in the car initially but we have no plans to move it between cars, and the safety aspect was our greatest concern when choosing a seat, not how easy it was to fit. I believe there is now an Isofix version of this seat which will speed up the process.

"This seat is rear facing till 25 kg. It is…"
23-May-2008
This seat is rear facing till 25 kg. It is comfortable with wide straps, reclines to 5 positions that are easily changed with a lever under the front edge of the seat. The straps are easy to adjust as the child grows, without taking the seat out of the car. Following the manual, it is easy to install the seat in the car. It comes with a support leg and anchoring straps that go around the seat in front.
