"I have to admit I didn't use this traveller for…"
11-Aug-2011
I have to admit I didn't use this traveller for hill walking yet, more like around the house.
As a part-time working mother, I try to do the housework as quickly as I could so I can nip out to have a cup of coffee with other mothers ;p
My one years old doesn't like to be left alone and hate being in her playpen! So the only way I could do the housework (too many to name!) and even put washing out on the lines, I just carry her in this backpack. So she is behind me and I can do things.
It is very comfortable to use and I don't usually feel her weight until an hour or two later. This is definitely more comfortable than a sling as the weight is distributed all over your body (mainly shoulders and hip). She also loves being able to watch what I am doing. She does ocassionally pull my hair when she is bored.
I would imagine it is comfortable for her as she fell asleep a few times (I wonder how with me moving about!).
I would recommend this for hillwalker as it is very comfortable.
Just note that this is still quite bulky and I don't like the idea of my baby sleeping while 'sitting' up (she still need her 2 naps a day). So it is not something I would take it away with me on holiday (unless is a hill walking holiday). I still prefer a buggy so she could sleep in it (and carry the nappy bag and shopping too!).Read moreLessMumsnetter MeghanMc

After reading all the MN reviews we chose this backpack for our daughter. Truthfully I've never warn it but my (full time Dad)husband and daughter absolutely love it and use it weekly to explore locally.

I used my sister's Littlelife Traveller on the weekend. It was worked really well and is just a compact version of the larger carriers. It was comfortable for both myself and her son Isaac and we walked for the best part of three hours!

We bought one of these when we decided to take a city break with the little one. It was absolutly superb. There is no way we would have been up and down all those steps, in and out of shops with a pushchair.
Littlelife have made an excellent quality product which is comfortable for both myself and Anna - and it gives us so much freedom. Anna was giggling and literally shouting for joy. Highly recommended.Read moreLessMumsnetter activedad

"This is easy to get the child in and out…"
14-Feb-2009
This is easy to get the child in and out of - it stands up on its own while you post the child in the top and do up the harness. Then you put it on like a normal backpack.
Its comfortable to wear. It has a big pocket at the back for your own stuff. And a pillow for the child's head to rest forward on when they go to sleep.
Nowhere to put their feet in though, so don't take them out wearing wellies ...Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

Brilliant. Bought this when our little one was 8 months old although he could have gone into it earlier. He loves it - laughed solidly for about 5 minutes when he first went in it! Have already used it loads to go out walking. Only downside is lack of pockets at the front for phone, keys etc - big pocket at back but hard to reach with backpack on! Shop around on the internet and you can get it for about

"We used this instead of a stroller for our 11-month…"
02-Aug-2007
We used this instead of a stroller for our 11-month old during a week's holiday in Italy. It fitted in the overhead lockers on the plane, so we had no worries about it being lost in transit. It was lightweight and comfortable, both for the person carrying it and for our son, who frequently fell asleep in it.
