I got one of these and used it once. I hate the way the child's legs just dangle free. We already had a Karrimor one that has a built in seat over the part where you store all your sandwiches, so we put the Kelty Kids one on ebay as soon as the older child outgrew the Karrimor and now the younger child gets to have a proper supported seat on daddy's back.Read moreLess

Everyone admired the attention to detail in the design: "The child is securely strapped in and the kickstand means it's simple to put on and take off". There are wide straps and a mesh backing which "curbs that horrible sweatiness you sometimes get". Despite its price, you do have to fork out more still for extras such as the sun and rain cover. Also, some felt that the bag could be more spacious: "You may need to buy an extra strap-on bag". On the whole it was considered "worth the investment" and "great for long walks in the country".Read moreLess

It sits in the correct position on your back to be able to carry it up the steepest slopes. The child is protected from the sun or the rain, but still has a great view. We seemed to be able to keep going for hours. It is fairly easy to put on, even when there is just you. The stand kicks out when taking the carrier off and baby can be fed while inside. I would have liked to be able to be carried in such comfort! However it is not cheap, but very hard-wearing.Read moreLess
