We bought the premier after using bushbabys excellent cocoon carrier. so glad we did. Daddy & daughter love to use it to take the dogs for walks daily + we have to hide the carrier when were not using it as she get really excited when she sees it.
I have used it a couple of times for trips to the Trafford centre, really comfortable + lots of storage for when we visited the shops. Train travel is so much easyier too now I dont have to take the pram. AAAAA* its really worth considering buying one of these if you like a bit of an adverture. recomended *Read moreLessMumsnetter AlexisLouise

"We started using the bushbaby premier for our 8-month old.…"

We started using the bushbaby premier for our 8-month old. It's got a huge range of adjustments for the wearer (meaning it is very comfortable) and also for baby. The seat height can be adjusted, the girth and it even has stirrups! The best feature is the rear-view mirror tucked away in the hip pocket! Very light but doesn't pack down at all so quite bulky. We used it for a trip to South Africa with our 8-month old and the Little Life Arc-2 travel cot its nicely into the seat of the backpack for flights etc. Lots of packing space to carry other items but this does make the carrier heavy as baby gets older. Mine is now 11kg though and I still find the carrier comfortable. It doesn't have a proper stand for when the carrier is on the ground so not suitable to leave baby in when stopping unless you can prop it against a tree.

Sound - a lot easier to use than I thought & very comfortable (when compared to other brands than I have tried). Ideal for both the outdoors & in urban areas (so much easier than using a pushchair)

What Mumsnetters thought: Everyone agreed that this is "a great choice if you enjoy walking". It has a "really effective" adjustable back system which means the weight is distributed evenly whatever your shape or size. "I'm over six feet but this was superbly comfortable for myself and my child. I could wear it all day long without feeling drained". You can store huge amounts in it and users liked the little extras: "The sleep buffer, stirrups and padding on the frame etc really make a difference". Overall reviewers were delighted that they went for the luxury option: "Expensive but worth it!"

After buying and trying a few different carriers we finally bought a premier. The cost was slightly higher than the others however the difference in quality and comfort outweighed the price difference. Also, the resale value is almost the same as what it cost us if we sell the carrier after our son outgrows it.
The padding around where he sits is great and he loves being in the pack for trips to the shops and weekend walks with dogs. I would recommend the premier for comfort and weight and the one we have also packs flat for storage on our trips to the coast.Read moreLess3 people found this review helpful.

Bloody brilliant! Great for busy places in towns or out on the hills. Worth investing in the extra raincover with a hood if you are spending a lot of time outside (the see-through one is a bit useless).

It's fantastic. If you want a backpack that you'll actually use regularly buy this one, even though it's expensive. dd(14 months) has loved it since she was about 8 months and even though she's a big lass, it's surprisingly comfortable! The adjustable back system means that both me (short) and dh (tall) can use it.

The carrier can be adjusted very well for the height etc of the person who is carrying (although it is a bit fiddley to make the adjustments). I am quite small but found that I could carry my 13-month-old child for a couple of hours in the mountains, more than I ever could with a Baby Bjoern carrier.

Bushbaby backpack is the only back pack worth having for either proper walks - we carried ours from being tiny to full size toddlers for miles and miles - or just for going round the local fair when the muddy ground is too squishy for pushchairs.
