"Amazing nappies…"
30-Mar-2013
Great nappies. So much better the disposables!! I can see people have been saying they leak. As long as the nappy is put on properly and the cover is covering all of the nappy there isn't a problem. They last my son 3 hours and then i change him. Who wants there child in a wet nappy any longer? My son has never had nappy rash either! I did get my nappies of ebay as i couldn't afford the price otherwise

"Good for use at home…"
14-Jan-2013
I bought a set of these nappies on offer at the Baby Show so I have found them to be very good value for money. If paying the full price of £15-20 each i think that they are quite expensive. At first I used them exclusively as I was quite passionate about the environmental benefits. As my baby has got older I have found that I need to change her much more frequently to avoid leakage whereas in disposable nappies she will last much longer. These nappies would not last my baby overnight anymore. Now I use 50/50 disposable to reusable (reusable at home and disposable out and about and at night) and all my reusable nappies are tots bots. I would recommend them but I haven't used any other brands so I'm not sure how they compare.

"easy fits, bamboozles flexi tots and wraps…"
14-Jan-2013
bamboozles- great nappy used mainly for bedtime, unbeatable absorbency and containment. stays soft, dose take along time to dry as to be expected with bamboo, amazing fit.
flexi tots- I have an older version of these than what they sell now. they are slim fitting for a 2 part system but not as slim as all in one but they are very absorbent and have good containment. they don't wash that well tho and they do tend to wear with washes but i believe this has now been resolved with new version.
Easyfit- this is my least fav tots bot but my mum and husband like it for ease of use. ok for day time use and around the house not terribly reliable and more bulky than other all in ones. washes well dries quickly thanks to fold out middle.
Wraps- Love this wrap it fits so well and contains everything. it's super soft and crinkle free. comes in great patterns. I do find tho that it doesn't span the weight range stated and starts to leak when getting close to upper limit.Read moreLessMumsnetter pinkymagic

"Easy fit and Bam-boozle stretchy…"
12-Dec-2012
We have used these nappies on/off for over a year now, so fee qualified to comment. Had problems with them leaking and causing nappy rash, but that turned out to be a build up of Urine and detergent. Gave them a stripping wash by washing and thouroughly rinsing with a dishwasher tablet and I love them again! Now do an extra rinse and also make sure I use the 1/2 the normal ammount of washing powder and no problems since.
We bought easy fit for day time wear and bamboozles for night time with a wrap. My daughter isn't a heavy wetter and the easy fit are suitable all the time without an additional booster. The bamboozles are bulkier, and take longer to dry so haven't used them much as easy fit meet our needs. We went for the velcro type fastening which has proved robust. They are one size and easy to adjust for a smaller baby although they are bulkier. We only have leaks now if they're on for over 1/2 a day (oops). We use a reusable liner made out of fleece, so this keeps wetness away from the skin and it's easy to shake the contents down the toilet. Daughter doesn't seem to worry whether she's wearing a disposable or a re-useable.Read moreLess2 people found this review helpful.

We have the bamboo nappies. The nappies are brilliant, they come up really soft even though we're in a hard water area. The wraps are rubbish though, they don't fit well at all and leak loads. We replaced them with Motherease wraps and get on much better with those.

These are excellent nappies. They fit snugly and are very absorbent. I've never had any leaks with them. Ideal for use at night as well. The only downside is they take a long time to dry.Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

I used the old Tots Bots bamboo's on my first a few years back and I couldn't fault them - apart from being a bit bulky.
I bought Flexitots for my 1yo and they are a disappointment :(
They only seem to last half the time compared to my old bamboo's.Read moreLess3 people found this review helpful.

As these had such good reviews by so may people I bought 5 to try them out. As much as I wanted to like them I found that when my son soiled them, they leaked 9 times out of 10 meaning I had to change his clothes too.
I did think they seem well designed and fit well. I bought the teeny tots ones as my son was only 5lbs 10ozs.
A big disappointment - I gave up on them after a fair number of goes.Read moreLess2 people found this review helpful.

In my free trial pack i got a few of these, the teeny fit and after reading up on lots of nappys i was reather excited about these and was really disipointed, they leaked a few times not mayjor about the same as disposables, and unlike bumgenius etc the fact the booster is attached to the whole nappy was a negative, the bamboo is on top of the nappy and stays wet and also as its all conected to the whole nappy you have to wait for the whole nappy to dry!

22-Oct-2011
Reviewing Tots Bots nappies is quite strange as there are so many to choose from and so many of the reviews already on here are for nappies that are no longer available. However, Tots Bots latest nappy the EasyFit is a fantastic design (an all in one so no need for a separate wrap, one size nappy that fits from birth to potty) and a work of art too! No leaks, night or day. Hurrah!

I was slightly sceptical that reusables would be leak proof overnight - I added a booster to the nappy and decided to take the plunge - well yes she was wet through by the morning but the nappy had gone from 6pm through to 7.30 without being changed and there were no leaks!!! I would recommend these for anyone looking at reusables.

09-Feb-2011
Used flexitots size 1 to start off with and they were great, much better than pampers and the extra washing didn't seem that much as I didn't have as many clothes and bedding to wash.
Then I started to use my old style poppers bamboozles when DS grew into them and WOW!They can hold two consecutive BF poos which is a real feat. They also look fluffy and comfy compared to wearing paper pants. Takes 24 hours to dry on a rack near (not on) a radiator but can also be tumble dried.
Just a tip, get motherease wraps, tots bots wraps are good but motherease are better.Read moreLessMumsnetter mumnerves

"I trialed five different nappy brands using Babykind's trial service…"
27-Jan-2011
I trialed five different nappy brands using Babykind's trial service for my newborn. I've reviewed them all here though my marks are for the Tots Bots TeenyFit. The brands were Fuzzi Bunz (XS), Weehuggers (Size 1), Itti Bitti D'Lish (Small), Real Easy(V2, XS) from Hip Hip Baby and Tots Bots Teenyfit. I also tried Little Lambs Microterry(Size 1) at the same time. After trialing all of these for just over two weeks I bought five each of Fuzzi Bunz (S), Real Easy (S) and Little Lambs (Size 1). Having used these for a few months I really couldn't choose between Fuzzi Bunz and Real Easy as my favourites - they are both excellent.
Fuzzi Bunz
Good value, fits really well with poppers around the waist and legs, dries in no time, easy to use, keeps wet away from baby's skin. May need an extra booster for overnight or heavy wetters.
Real Easy (Hip Hip Baby)
Good value, fits really well, very absorbant, easy to use, keeps wet away from baby's skin. Compared to a standard Fuzzi Bunz (e.g. one without an extra booster), it takes longer to dry but is more absorbant.
Little Lambs
Good value, very soft and comfy, flexible fitting and very absorbant. The whole nappy gets wet so does tend to stay near to baby's skin, the velcro sticks to things in the wash even if you use the tabs and the nappy is BIG (in hindsight, probably wouldn't have bought this for a small baby but they're so soft we couldn't resist).
Tots Bots Teenyfit
We loved this nappy and would have bought some but after the Teenyfit you buy the EasyFit which is a one-size nappy (e.g. it poppers down for smaller babies and is released as they grow). This is a cheaper option in the long run because you don't need to buy multiple nappies as your baby grows, but we felt that this type of nappy was too bulky on a small baby.
Itti Bitti D'lish
Very funky nappy in great colours and very absorbant for wee. However, they are expensive and poo shot out of the leg holes every time.
Weehuggers
Didn't like these at all, they were absorbant enough but were very rigid, not particularly easy to use or quick to dry and the width of the nappy between the legs was too wide.Read moreLess5 people found this review helpful.

We have been using the tots bots bamboozle stretch and before that the old style bamboozle, both with the tots bots wraps. These nappies have been fantastic, they are the only nappies we have found to hold in everything (better than disposables for our little one). They do take about 24hrs to dry in our airing cupboard but that is the only downside.

25-Jan-2010
I use a two parter and the nappy has always been Totsbots with nippa fastening. I have the cotton ones but mainly am a devotee of Fluffles... though sadly these have been discontinued. The Fluffles are soft, dry fast and easy to clean and care for. I haven't used any of the new TB wraps but wasn't impressed with the versions I used a few years ago. I swear by Motherease Airflows. So have used the combo of TB nappy and ME wraps really successfully for 2.5 years and about to start using the same on my new arrival. Oh and a) I've mainly used second hand which I've been really pleased with and b) as per a) they hold their value if you want to see them on.

used a variety of tots bots- rainbow coloured cotton ones that have now been discontinued- great but a bit slow to dry, fluffles (get ones that you can use nippa with as much better than ones with poppers)- lovely and soft but bulky and not absorbent enough as my daughter got a bit older, and ended up on flexitots- great but took ages to dry due to bamboo core. used motherease airflow wraps and little lambs wraps as was advised that tots bots wraps leaked a lot. overall great products, i recommend them. nappylady site is great to buy them from- extremely helpful went starting out with washable nappies.

the hi-tech new nappy from tots bots. liked the naturally anti-bacterial, super soft, bamboo element and the absorbent core. was very impressed by the containment of this nappy - wrap aside- as we were dealing with explosive breastfed poo. lo is a very heavy wetter and didn't experience any leaks. i used motherease and the new totsbots wraps - both v effective. i was also impressed by how quickly this nappy dried. about 6hrs hanging on a clothes horse (we don't have a tumble drier). the only thing i found was it was very bulky on a (slightly smaller than average) newborn - which didn't look terribly comfy. bit of an expensive initial outlay but very effective.

07-Jan-2009
These new nappies from Tot's Bots are great much better than the previous version - Bamboozles. They are very easy to fasten, absorbent, soft and very importantly very quick to dry. The flexi wraps are also a great improvement, again soft and no dampness appearing round the wicking at the edges. The cut of the nappy is narrow to improve movement but they are still a little bulky at the back, but most reusable nappies are.
Top Tip: if you put two liners in the nappy you get little mess and staining on the nappy - great news for who does the washing.Read moreLessMumsnetter Giulietta

22-Sep-2008
I used cotton tots for my son up to 5 months and I've moved to flexi tots now. Cotton tots were great, washed & dried well (under 24 hours) & I used the motherease rikki wrap as I found the tots bots wrap leaked (a bit gutted as the tots wraps are so cute - but motherease do various animal print ones which are nice too). I would recommend using the disposable liner to begin with as cleaning off newborn paste-poo isn't easy (now my son is weaning and doing more normal poo's I will go back to washable liners when I run out).
Having now moved to the next size I have gone for the new flexi tot which looks & fits well (slimmer on the sides than the cotton tot but chunkier between the legs) and is more pleasant to change as the nappy isn't sodden wet like the cotton tots gets - However..drying is a lengthy process with the new flexi tot so sample one first (drying takes about a day and a half), I hope once the central heating comes back on it will be easier. Again I used motherease rikki for the outer wrap and they're great. Never had an issue with nappy rash and leakage is very rare. Getting trousers to fit is tricky though as baby's bum is made huge by washable nappies! Frugi (previously cut4cloth) is good for big bum clothes but expensive. Nappylady website is great for getting a recommendation & discount on orders.Read moreLessMumsnetter biglovely

Fantastic nappies!! I have tried the cotton version which do up with velcro and found them to be fine for daytime use but they seem bulky and my son likes to open anything with velcro! The type of Tots Bots nappies with I really loved, were the Bamboozle bamboo ones which fasten with poppers. They are so soft and flexible not bulky and do not restrict baby's movements. Also the fact that they are made from bamboo means they are more environmentally friendly. It is worth looking at a few websites to find a good buy as you can get some real bargains (amazon, Kiddicare) Finally they dry so much faster than other nappies that I have tried. Really great nappies I would totally recommend them.

Bought as recommended by everyone here. DS1 is now 6mths old and they are just as excellent as everyone says. They contain everything and as DS1 is exclusively breastfed even now (and he can do monster explosive poos), that is no mean feat! Size 2s can be used from birth, but I'd recommend 10x size 1s too for the first couple of months as DS1 was 8.13lbs and the size 2 felt like they were too big for his body right at the start. Was well, and any stains bleach out as soon as they're on the line in the sun.

28-Jan-2008
I have used these on my daughter from about 3 weeks of age/9lbs ish - she is now 3 months. They wash really well and, so far, have kept their absorbancy well. I do use a disposable at night unless she is changed again in the late evening if we turn in late.
I have both cotton non bleached and bamboo type unbleached. The cotton ones dry quickest but the bamboo are a little softer to touch and less bulky. When I get the next size I will probably get cotton ones again.
I don't yet use the liners but expect to do so when we start weaning.
Wraps - I found the tot bot wraps OK although they do stain a little. I also found that there wern't enough of them in the multi pack you can get and so purchased a motherease wrap to try - which I prefer to use as the material is more forgiving but no more effective otherwise.Read moreLessMumsnetter partridges

They are the softest fluffiest (and quickest drying) nappies around - and give your baby a "fairy baby" bum! These nappies do seem huge when you first get them, but they do slim down.
They are the perfect solution for a busy mum - a nappy that drys super quickly, I've had them dry in a couple of hours on the outside line, or overnight on the radiator. They really make cloth nappying a pleasure (well almost - we are talking nappies here!).
They come either with velcro, popper or nappy nippa (a fangled grippy thing that you use instead of a pin). Personally I prefer the nippa version as you get a better fit to your baby. [btw - one of the poppers broke on one of my nappies and Tots Bots repaired it for free]
Fluffles have a great resale value and a loyal following. They are the only nappy which I would consider using at night with my toddler (admittedly bulked up with extra liners - the "pocket" design makes it easy to do this.)Read moreLessMumsnetter bealos

These nappies really do take a LONG time to dry. I don't have a tumble dryer, but didn't realise, until I had bought them that you are not supposed to put them on the radiator either, as it 'cooks the bamboo', which can apparently damage the absorbency (so pretty bad then). This information did not come with the nappies - but I found it on tehthetots bots website - not good enough in my opinion. They take DAYS to dry on an airer - I bought 20 nappies, and the washed ones were not dry when I ran out and needed to use them. The nappies are fine when you use them, but I consider these proper drawbacks.

Like most mums I know, I started out with very good intentions of using washable nappies and struggled to stick with it. Were it not for Tots Bots I would have reverted to disposables months ago. They are soft, easy to wash and they don't leak!!! I just wish I could afford to buy more of them. They are excellent.

My favourite for nighttime use is the unbleached cotton version as it is so absorbant.
I also love the rainbow cotton ones as less bulky under clothing for daytime wear, but unfortunately these have now been discontinued.Read moreLessMumsnetter Washersaurus

Original Tots Bots were great for first couple of years use, now after 2 1/2 yrs constant use on 2 children (30 mths & 18 mths) starting to get threadbare and leak. Have recently had to buy microfibre cloths as inserts. Always had to use 2 nappies overnight but I guess I have very heavy wetters. DH prefers them to disposables which is praise indeed.Prefer nippa version to aplix and original over bamboozles. Use with Motherease Airflow wraps.

Reviewers raved about these "really easy to use" reusables which are "elasticated at the legs and back to fit really well". They won top marks for absorbency with most agreeing that "they never leak even when left for a really long time" and for comfort: "no nappy rash", plus they are "soft and snugly". The only minor complaints were that they "take a while to dry - the price of being so absorbent" and "they are a little bulky". Nonetheless "they look really cute" and have an "excellent re-sale value". "So good I was almost sad when potty training succeeded!"

I love these nappies! They are totally reliable and seem to fit all shapes of children perfectly. They are also really cute! The only downsides are that they take a while to dry, are bulkier than some reusables under cloths and they are farily pricy, as most people will need all 3 sizes. However, they really are brilliant nappies and the pros far outweight the cons. They also wash really nicely and will certainly last for at least one more child (DS is now 22.5 months and has been wearing them since about 4 weeks).

I haven't tried any other reusable nappies but I'm confident I made the right choice with Tots Bots. You don't have to soak them in a special solution, which is great for me since I live abroad and was worried I wouldn't find the right stuff. They've never leaked on me, they look really cute, they seem to be comfortable and we've never had a problem with nappy rash. I don't have a dryer but that hasn't been a problem. The only downside might be that my baby's bum looks huge in them (I'm using size 2 from 1 month old) and she has to wear trousers in the next size up. Also because they're so bulky we're still using disposables at night (she's 3 months old now) and we're wondering whether it might take her a bit longer to learn to roll over! But apart from that I can't recommend them more highly. And it's great to know that we're doing our bit for the environment as well as saving lots of money in the long run.

Washable nappies are a definite option and these are a very easy 2-part system. Washes well (look cute on the line) and very easy to use - especially the ones with Aplix. I have Rainbow Bots for the day and Tots Bots for the nights, as more absorbent. I feel that a 2-part system is good as it means that any stray poo has to get past two barriers. I use Motherease Air-flow wraps as the poppers are not easy for a babe to undo.

I've already sent a review of these with ratings, but would like to add that now my baby's weaned and so less wet I'm planning to move onto something a little more slimline as clothing gets more slimline as babies get older and Totsbots and slimline don't go! I'll still use Totsbots (with the booster) at night as using Totsobots I've never had to change a nappy at night and never had to deal with nappy rash! In short, definitely buy for newborns, but think twice before buying the next size up if you're about to wean.

Tots Bots are great! Our dd has been wearing them since 6 weeks (now 6 months) and we've never had a leak. They're so easy to use and they don't need soaking in a special solution. They've saved us loads of money and (we still believe) we're doing our bit for the environment too. Last week we went away and used disposables because we didn't have access to a washing machine, and dd developed her worst nappy rash to date, so I'm convinced the reusable nappies have reduced nappy rash as well. My only slight concern is that they're quite bulky compared to disposables, and I wonder if that's what's stopping her rolling over very much, but I think the advantages far outweigh the disadvantages, and our next dd or ds will definitely be in Tots Bots too.

"Does my bum look big in this, Mum?" well the answer has to be yes. Expect to have to buy larger clothes to get them over the bulk of the nappy. This is probably easier with girls wearing dresses and skirts rather than boys who still tend to wear the trousers, even in the most right-on baby household! They may come in lots of cute colours but who is going to see them underneath the wrap. Ok so they look good on the washing line, but I am sorry, I wasn't convinced.

If you get the aplix versions, they are almost as convenient to put on and off as disposables, but with no pile of stinky nappies in the bin or 'sangenic'. I don't have a tumble drier and they still dry pretty quickly. I've sent my sons to nursery in them with no real problems. The only downside I can think of is that they can get quite stiff if you live in a hard water area, and the colours fade so if you use them lots they end up quite muted. The fabric seems far better quality and absorbency than the alternatives I have tried, which may look the same but feel far cheaper.

Tots Bots Nappies are just amazing! Having tried a selection of reuseables for the first time on my fifth child I am not just impressed but truly amazed by these nappies. Oh why didn't I discover them sooner! I have an 11 week old breast fed baby and have experienced no leaks with these so far leading me to believe that rather than creating more washing, reuseables have in fact left me with a smaller washing pile than usual as I don't have to change baby's outfit all the time like I did with top brand leaky disposables with my other 4 children. My favourites of all Tots are the new Fluffles as they have a fleecy inner layer that stays dry to the touch against baby's bottom, and stays soft and warm against baby's skin even when completely full, fantastic stuff. Will be stocking up on these from now on!

I used these for the first 6 months, right from the time he came home from hospital and they were great - really easy to use (aplix version) and almost never leaked beyond the wrap (motherease Airflow). The only issue is time to dry and also they get crunchy if not-tumbled, so we decided to tumble-dry them (took about 60min then a little time on the radiator). So have changed over to Totbots revolutionary Fluffle instead (see separate review).

Only an 8 for ease of use because they take a long time to dry even on the hottest day which means you'll need a few extra to avoid having to tumble dry every day. On the plus side they leak far less than disposables which means far less washing than stripping your baby every time she's dirty. I like the shaped design which is a good fit on my babe. TOTS BOTS FLUFFLES are the fab new nappy for busy mums! I first tried out original Tots Bots nappies but found that the drying time was just too long (about 2 days line drying in winter) and if I put them on a radiator they went very hard and crunchy! Then I heard about new Fluffles, and they are fab! They line dry within a few hours and stay lovely and snuggly and soft, even in the hard water area where I live. I've got popper and nippa version, and prefer the nippa version to get a good fit. They are quite bulky on the baby, but he just now has a lovely soft big bum!! The only time we've sprung a leak is when I tried to use a wrap that wasn't quite big enough - leaving a bit of a gape on the back, so now always use a bigger wrap to fit properly over the nappy. I've put in extra padding at night time with some boosters and the nappy lasts through til breakfast. At

I love tots! They have a fabric to suit everyone - bamboo, cotton and microfibre. They come in both sized (1, 2 & 3), or can be used as btp if you buy size 2 and fold down. They can be used with nippas, aplixed or poppered, and they give the cute fairy baby look. The only problem with them is that they can be bulkier than other makes, but with the addition of bamboozles, this has pretty much been eliminated as they are much slimmer. A must for any nappy collection.

After working as a nanny for 10 years and using disposables I was keen to try reusables on my own baby. A friend recommended tots bots and they have been FANTASTIC! I used size 1 from when my baby was a week old and have had no leaking, soreness or washing problems. The fleece liners are great, they wash well and don't stain and living in a flat with no washing line or tumble dryer I've found them pretty quick to dry. I did try the tots bots wraps and found they leaked so now use motherease which fit very snugly over the tots bots nappies and are great. Hate using disposables now!

Really soft and fluffy so they must feel good on your bot! Very absorbant, when we go to get Lewis weighed and we use a Pampers it usually leaks, but our tots bots dont, even after a heavy nights peeing! Really easy to use - dont be afraid of the nappi nippas! Only minus is they take a while to dry, but if you get a good day they line dry beautifully, also they are a little bulky - I have the Bamboozles as they are really absorbant and less bulky too - especially for under boys trousers.

With all reusable nappies you need to make sure the material edges don't touch the nappy as this will make it and the baby's clothes damp.

I used tots bots nappies with motherease wraps for my daughter from birth to about 20 months. I used both with and without velcro and both were great but once she was mobile, the velcro nappies stayed in place better. I will definately use these again and would recommend them, but these nappies are bulky so in the winter, a tumble drier is essential. I would also recommend the nappylady website and her solution for homemade wet wipes. My daughter never had nappy rash and using homemade wet wipes must have saved me a fortune.

They're really soft and comfortable and the coloured ones make nappy changing more cheery than it can be! They do need to be changed more often than say Pampers as the wee soaks all the way through to the clothes. However, extra liners help this and I use disposable nappies at night to get through. They wash easily at 40 degrees and dry overnight in a hot cupboard.

My baby is very slim and these nappies do look a little bulky on her, perhaps I should try the slim fitting babboozle nappy that they also sell. Overall though really glad I made the decision to use re-usables.
