"It's a one size nappy. Cheap, not cute and adorable,…"
25-Nov-2008
It's a one size nappy. Cheap, not cute and adorable, but does the job. It isn't elasticated, and despite having velcro, the tabs are too far apart for a baby and only work for a toddler.
So you have to use a nippa. The 'bravo vento' wraps seem pretty competent too, and the whole system is fairly leakproof. I can only compare to prefolds (a pain), terry squares (a pain) and a stuffable (which leaked), and haven't tried other shaped nappies.
They're a bit wide for a little baby, but I've just gone back to them for child 2 (now 8 months). And they're working fine for him, and also as night nappies for the older child (3 1/4). They come with a free booster as well, which you do need at times. I've noticed a bit of washing damage - but nothing to make them unusable. The only thing I've discovered with the wraps is it's easy to put them on a bit tight round the legs - because the baby doesn't complain. But I suspect that's my technique, as I also use disposables. And once you're aware of it, you can be much more careful to avoid it.Read moreLessMumsnetter tokengirl
