"The snaps came off!…"
25-May-2012
I bought a Cottontail all in one off an American website and a snap was off on delivery. I still used it until a second snap came off and then I gave up as I didn't want Bertie choking if he pulled any more off.

27-Mar-2008
I wish I'd seen these before buying bamboo nappies - they fit much better under my daughters clothes (saving me from consigning ever more clothes to the attic because I simply can't squeeze them over the nappy), they are much more absorbent and dry in half the time (the difference is really obvious when they both come out of the washing machine together). And if I'd started out with cottontail nappies I wouldn't have the expensive of buying the next size up!

12-Mar-2008
I was a bit bamboozled by the range of reusables out there and had not had the greatest success with Motherease nappies. I was about to admit defeat when my sister introduced me to Cottontail nappies and my baby loves them (he had cried previously when I used alternative reusables) - they are really soft, absorbent and easy to use. What I also really valued was that Rosanna from Cottontail was so friendly and helpful in answering any questions (having designed the nappy herself) - essential for someone like me who was borderline about using reusables. Definitely give them a try.

As a first time mum trying to find a good reusable nappie was nightmare. Having only the internet really for any comparisons I found the Cottontails came out tops.
They are very easy to use and to wash with a quick drying time. They are great at catching even the wettest BF baby poop and when they do have alittle seepage they leak no more than any disposable I have used on my little girl. The fit is super, especially as my baby was very small at first, they really are growing with her.Read moreLessMumsnetter Koji

"Overall this is a totally different nappy to others on…"
08-Feb-2008
Overall this is a totally different nappy to others on the market, the fabric is very soft and even washing and line drying in a hard water area hasn't spoiled that. The nappy really does go very tiny but dries better if you open all the rather fiddly clasps. It does dry faster than bamboo but is no where near as absorbant. In fact I started using the booster when my son was only 4 months old. Now at nearly nine months I have substituted the booster that comes with it for a better one as this nappy can't really cope with too much and is certainly not suitable for over night. The outer wrap that comes from the same company is a real disappointment, it looks and feels lovely but despite trying it many times it always leaked. I tend to use this nappy with a Motherease wrap which seems to be a better combination. My only other concern with this nappy is whether it really will last until potty training. My nine month old, who is pretty small and slim is on the last popper on each side and I fear that its days may now be numbered. I have tried many real nappies and although I like the cleverness of this nappy I think there are better birth to potty nappies out there for less money. This is one of the most expensive on the market and although nice and slim and certainly good for tiny babies I would spend my money on an Easy peasy which is way more absorbant and has a nice fleece liner which this nappy lacks.

I absolutely LOVE these nappies!I have a 10 month old baby and have used these nappies from the beginning. They fit a newborn perfectly and just get better the more they're used, and being designed by a mum they actually work. They're made from lovely soft organic cotton, very absorbent and look very cute drying on the line!My little girls just taken her first steps so they're not bulky and heavy like other reusable nappies and with a really clever popper system they grow with her so no need to buy different sizes, just the outer cover. Can't recommend them highly enough!

25-Oct-2007
I have been using Cottontails for over 4 months now & love them! As a first time Mum, i knew that ideally i wanted to use washable nappies but found the reality a little daunting. Cottontails have made using washables so easy! The clever design means that they fit really well & are easy to adjust to accommodate a fast growing baby. The organic cotton velour is so soft & washes & dries beautifully. I'm sure my daughter is very happy to wear them!

These nappies are certainly the best that I've seen. My wife and I are very eco-conscious and buying an ORGANIC washable nappy was really important to us. These nappies are very adjustable, fit perfectly and are very absorbant. In addition, it was also very important that the nappies weren't bulky between the legs. I am a Chiropractor and we see that some more bulky nappies seem to put undue strain on the hip joints. The Cottontail nappies aren't bulky at all. Well done!

Alexander was a month early, and only 5lb 13oz when I brought him home. Cotton tails fitted straight away. They are really easy to use, very absorbant and look cute too. They are easy to wash and fast drying even without a tumble dryer. I love that they are soft on baby's skin and he is comfy in them. A great alround buy.

"I've been using these nappies for quite some time now…"
05-Sep-2007
I've been using these nappies for quite some time now with my 2 year old, and I find them wonderful! They really have grown in usefulness as he has grown.
It's certainly true about the lack of leaking (compared to say Motherease which frequently leak) especially as my boy is considered a 'heavy wetter'(!).
I have found the material comfortable and kind to his skin. They have not shrunk or faded with all the washing, just increased in absorbancy. They do take a little time to get used to, but that is the same with any washable nappy in my opinion.
And of course due to their compact size he doesn't have an enormous bottom or need to be in a trouser size 1 year too old for him!
If you're considering using washable nappies I SERIOUSLY advise you to check these out; I'm certainly one happy customer using them.Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

03-Sep-2007
I was persuaded to try the Cottontail one size by a friend with my third baby and was won over from the Motherease fanclub. It is a nice neat size so it doesn't swamp a newborn and it also means that clothes still fit an older baby. I'd previously found it hard getting trousers on my other two children over their large bottoms! It feels very soft and it's great that it's organic. I haven't had any leaks to date and since using disposables on my holiday this summer was very keen to put my baby back into her trusted nappies - leak free and so much more comfortable.

Very soft and easy to dry. Can gradually increase the size of the nappy allowing you to get an exact fit for your shape child as they grow. Was the only reusable nappy that my husband would consider using.

By far the best of the washables I have tried. These are the only ones I have been able to completely trust, not just in terms of non-leaking but also they are so soft and comfortable. They are also really easy to use, so I would recommend them to anyone thinking of moving away from disposables. Having found them, there is no going back to any other type.

"My baby Amelie was the lucky winner of these nappies…"
29-Aug-2007
My baby Amelie was the lucky winner of these nappies as a prize in a local real nappy competition. I had no experience using them before receiving them, but now that we've got them I realise we have been merely "making do" with three other brands of cloth nappies until now. I love these. The organic cotton velour material is the softest one can get. They are adjustable in three ways so that one nappy fits from birth until potty training, yet this does not make them 'fiddly' to manage and it is not necessary to re-adjust them every time you wash them. Some cloth nappies claim they fit from birth, yet often the tag specifies this is from 10 - 11 pounds upwards. Cottontail Nappies will truly fit a 6 pound baby without any gaps around the legs or problems with leakage, and this is somehow accomplished without the use of any harsh elasticated material. They even come with an extra organic cotton velour booster pad in the same plush material, included in the price of the nappy. In summary: Excellent value for money as there is no need to keep buying bigger sizes, they look gorgeous, feel supersoft, high quality, durable, cute, form-fitting, and kind to the environment. You can't go wrong with this nappy.

These nappies are just as good as everyone else says! Really soft, excellent fit, quick drying, neat shape, and they only ever leak if I don't put the wrap on properly. I now use 1 booster for daytime and 2 boosters for night which works fine.

As a first time mum it's a minefield trying to choose which nappies will be best for you and your baby. Important for me was one size fits all, cute factor, quick drying time and, most importantly, not too bulky.
Cottontail ticked all the boxes. I had a 9lb boy 4 months ago and their performance and ease of use are as good now as on day one. They're so soft and comfy and they adjust to a perfect fit as he's grown - containing those explosive poo's no problem! He hasn't needed larger sized clothes as they're not at all bulky and I've been really impressed with the drying time - particularly as I don't have a tumble dryer. I don't have to worry about buying more nappies as he gets older and I save so much money not having to buy disposables - couldn't recommend them highly enough.Read moreLessMumsnetter Pippins

I love this nappy. It fits brilliantly on all sizes, you can adjust the size really easily to get a snug fit. The velour is extremely soft and organic. Even my husband (who is not a big fan of some other washables that I have used) loves them!

I absolutely LOVE these nappies, designed by a young mom, not at all bulky and made of the softest organic cotton velour. They fit my newborn perfectly and adjust as baby grows(now 7 months) with clever poppers so no need to buy more. Good absorbancy and come with easy to add additional pad when needed. Have had very few leaks too.
