Only use disposables at night or when away and am pretty anti-disposables, but these are brill! Slim, cute, cheap, don't stink of chemicals when full, stretchy and soft and don't give DS nappy rash.

I bought these nappies based on the mumsnet reviews and was disappointed. They leaked heavily overnight and my son's skin seems clammy when i take the nappies off. I still have most of the pack left unused so they are a false economy. I'll be sticking with Boots nappies!

"Very poor, leak and feel damp on outside…"
25-Jun-2012
I brought these due to the mumsnet award and was very dissapointed. With our first baby we have been trying out the different branded and shop nappies. These ones are very thin, and moisture starts to seap through the who nappy after a short time. they leak easily. We have found that we need to change our little man twice as often in these nappies and it feels very wet inside the nappy every time.
We have settled on Adsas little angels which keep dry all night long.
Avoid Lidl nappies they are aweful.Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

Fab never leaked, bought just to try but didn't think they would be up to much and how wrong I was. 10p/nappy v on average 15p (yes I need to get out more) for premium brands, so work that saving out over a year, HUGE!! Baby has very sensitive skin and never had nappy rash with these

I have been using these for the past 7 months or so after seeing the reviews on here and really can't fault them. I've never had any problems with 'leakage' and they easily rival if not better the 2 leading brands. I wish i'd known about them when my 4 year old was in nappies, i would have saved a fortune!

I thought I had a faulty batch. The new design is terrible. The awful smell and a cold, wet bum is not an improvement. I used to be the greatest advocate of lidl nappies but never again. I'm just so disappointed.

14-Jan-2012
I bought these whilst looking round Lidl because I saw the Mumsnet awards logo on the packet, and I'm so glad I did. They are not just much much cheaper, they are actually better. I find them more absorbent than the other brands we've tried and they don't leave my daughter with a sore red bottom - I think they may have less gel in than other brands so they seem slightly thicker when you first put them on, but then you don't get that squidgy soggy feel when they're wet. The fit is excellent, no leaks here so far. And unlike Pampers they don't have a horrible smell when soggy!

04-Jan-2012
I was recommended these nappies about 1 yr ago and have been using them ever since with my DD who is now just 2 yrs. They fitted really well and didn't fall down like other named brands. They never leaked or smelt of urine or chemicals when full.
BUT....
all has now changed. The nappies have been made thinner and the leaks are starting to appear. My daughter is a heavy wetter, and we regularly see leaks now, then rarely gets through the night without leakage. The leakage can be over the top at the front, or round the legs, or out of the side?? She has also started to suffer more with nappy rash since the changes.
I am no longer using these nappies and am suprised they still score so highly :( Lidl, go back to the old nappies please?Read moreLess6 people found this review helpful.

"I have been using Lidl's Toujour nappies since my little…"
13-Dec-2011
I have been using Lidl's Toujour nappies since my little girl could fit them at about a month old. However the pack I bought last week has changed all that.
When I got the pack home and opened it it the first thing I noticed was the awful awful chemical smell.
The next thing I noticed was the nappy appeared to be slightly smaller. Upon comparing it to one of the nappies from the previous pack, actually yes I was correct nappy is smaller.
The third thing I noticed was that suddenly there is a blue layer inside the nappy. Hmm I thought to use or not to use, as one of the big selling points was the lack of bleach used in this brand.
Well I did use the nasty smelly blue nappy and I now regret it. My 5 and a half month old daughter didn't just end up with terrible nappy rash, she actually ended up with a chemical burn. I have since switched back to a more expensive brand and my daughter's extreme discomfort has thankfully cleared up, although not before she lost a layer of skin.
I strongly suggest that if Lidl are going to continue making their nappies like this from now on, that Mumsnet remove their endorsement from the packaging.Read moreLess3 people found this review helpful.

09-Dec-2011
What has happened to Lidl Toujours Nappies??I have been using your nappies for the last few months and have found them to be a fantastic product, I am using the Toujours Midi Size 3. Unfortunatley the manufacurer seems to have changed the nappies, they are samller, they leak and they are leaving our children wet and sore. Im not sure why they changed the production as the previous nappies as recommended by Mums Net were the best Nappies on the market. Many of the mums have noticed that the product has changed and not for the better and are considering changing to another brand, has anyone else noticed this? Also the recommendation from Mumsnet seems to have disappeared from the packaging?

I have used these nappies on and off for a few years now with my two girls. As expressed by other mums these really are very good quality for the money. I am not a brand snob and cannot afford to be. These suit my girls perfectly and unlike Pampers and god forbid Huggies, the tabs do not rip and no nasty leaks. Value for money and whilst your in there, treat your self to the chocolate too. Like many others, I discovered these by accident when the only shop that was open to buy nappies was Lidls. I have never looked back! They are totally reliable, really cheap and extremely comfortable for baby (not big, bulky and stiff like some other own brands). I recently took part in a Nappy survey, I presume ran by Pampers as this was the free product I got. I didn't even want to use them when they were free! Gave them to a friend. Give me Lidl nappies any day of the week!
No leakages.
Nice fit.
Very cheap.
Comfortable.
I have used them for my youngest who is now 11 months, since she was born. I also use them for my 2 year old.Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

bought these after reading all the positive reviews on this site - used one nappy and it leaked EVERYWHERE! which has never happened with pampers or huggies - not once. Obviously others have had better experiences but as far as I am concerned these are total crap. yes they are cheaper, but frankly I am happy to pay ten times the price of these if it means I don't spent half and hour cleaning up poo and then have to do an additional load of laundry.

My daughter (4) is a long way off being dry and we use the largest size, they are ace and SO SO cheap, for a while to placate her we brought a pull up with princess's on and she would wake up very early everytime until we realised they were really only any good for potty training - wee - feel wet - wake up early - everyone grumpy!
Anyway back to these please put aside any snobbery of the store or brand and give them a go i'm going to try them out on number 2 due in Jan - obvioulsy a smaller size as it would be ridiculous, i digress....... give them a go you'll be suprised.Read moreLessMumsnetter Julesandella

i love lidl nappies - i only wish i had discovered them sooner. as with many lidl items the main advantage is the price (although in 2009 that is vv important i suppose). they comare favourably to the supermarket value brands and some of the leading brands. no rashes to report (although my son did not get this generally). accident potential about the same. i find the side bits not as stretchy as say, huggies but other than printing on son's sides, has not been a problem

I have usedLidlnappies for about a year now on a 2 year old boy (size 5). The main plus point is the fact that you get practically DOUBLE the amount in a pack for your money than the leading brands.
The are slightly thicker and slightly less soft than the top brand, but easily comparable with the supermarket own lines, except that you get loads more!
Haven't used them with a newborn or small baby with runny yellow poo, (as i hadn't discovered them then), so i can't comment on that, but on toddlers with real poo (ewww) they have been excellent with no leaks or fit problems.Read moreLessMumsnetter BigusBumus

Im not one to buy "cheaper" brands, BUT when I ran out I had no option but to pop into my local lidl store.
My son was born with a bowel disorder and we go trough ALOT of nappies. Around 6+ a day and its most;y "dirty" nappies that I change (never in them long enough for "wet" ones.!)
I was surprised, they stood up to the test. They held in everything and I even found that they were absorbant at night.
Ds's bottom is also sensitive and he is prone to bad nappy rash due to his condition BUT I found them perfect on his skin.
Would recommend and buy again.
The "marker strip" was a waste in my opinion. BUT I guess in the usual nappy conditions it may be helpful.Read moreLessMumsnetter shhhh

These nappies are ok, nice and slim fitting, but I found they cut into my daughter at the waist, had a tendancy to roll down from her tummy, and leaked on a few occasions, including into her carseat, for me I would only use them as emergency nappies to store at friends and familys houses, I much prefer to spend out the extra on a well known brand thats never leaked.

Not a huge amount to say except Thank God for the arrival of Lidl nappies. I've used them since I discovered them on my DD (now 2) and immediately went to use them for DS (now 4 mths).
Have never had the slightest problem with them and personally, wouldn't even consider paying twice as much for the same "service" just to have a different brand name. Nappies are there to serve a particular function and if they do that well without leaks or irritation or any other problems and they are good value to boot - it's a no-brainer really!Read moreLessMumsnetter janeausten

Not at all bulky but contain all explosions quite effectively. I have tried pretty much every brand of nappies over the years (premium and own brand) and until I tried Lidl nappies (about 3 years ago) I swore by Pampers Active. I've totally converted to Lidl nappies now. They really are excellent. I've never had a leakage and the price is great.
The only downside that I have to report is that (at least when my DS2 was a newborn) they weren't available in Newborn size.Read moreLessMumsnetter jasmeeen

The regular style nappies were a little small on my (large) daughter, although we had no problems with leaking etc.
We now use the pull up style and they are FABULOUS! They're a lovely roomy fit, and they have a frilly effect so that they look like cute little pants when worn under skirts.
The only time we've had a problem with leaking is when dd has somehow managed to get a wedgie type effect (how?!) and so not had full coverage.
Great value for money, and leave no marks etc like other brands can on the larger thighed child.

Having been a convert to tesco's own brand nappies, I was quite interested to see how these would compare - they are FANTASTIC! Not only are they great value for money, they are incredibly absorbent and a great fit. My only gripe would be that the elastic at the top could do with being a bit stretchier (a bit like pampers active) as they were quite snug. However, a great value disposable that is more than a match for the branded and own label nappies!

Great budget nappy - I've tried several budget brands and this was best, and I even found it to be a better fit than some of the premium brands. It keeps my son dry overnight - it is very absorbant even when very full but there are no nasty chemical gels to worry about. It's a good fit around the back, which is elasticated, and rarely get any leaks from the legs. It even has tea leaf extract to kill bacteria and I have had no problems with nappy rash using these - they are dermatologically tested and latex free.
