"Fell in love with the form, then fell in love with function…"
10-Mar-2013
We love this bed. It's beautiful to start with which is the main reason a bought it, being unrecoverable sceptics of advertising guff, but it really is as practical as advertised.
We didn't get the smallest version mattress but started at the next size up, which since DS went into it at 6 months was fine. The beauty of it is that when the time comes to move you child to a toddler bed you don't need to resettle him/her into a new bed - you just take the side off.
We never bothered with the special bedding, just bought standard stretchy fitted sheets and they worked just fine.Read moreLessMumsnetter AllSWornOut

I agree with the compents below... at first you could see the price tag as a little high... but after you see how long you use it for its worth every penny.
The sleepi journey is as follows
Sleepi Mini => Sleepi Cot => Junior bed
Up to 7 years use as a cot/bed, and after you have the option to convert it into chairs... It BRILLIANT.Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

As others have said, this is a great cot and don't be put off by the price, it will be used from when they're tiny right up until they're big (well, big-ish). It's so snug and cosy when in the mini version, lovely for a little baby and on wheels so can be moved from parents' room into nursery once they're a bit bigger - no need to settle them into a new room! It's been worth every penny and looks gorgeous as well.

This cot is a great investment. Don't be put off by the price. It really does adapt to suit the different stages of your child's development.
Really stylish design and lots of choice of wood finishes. More linen to choose would be good though! Bear in mind that you have to buy the Stokke linen due to the oval shape of the cot. I have found that it's quite deep too, and on its lowest setting my 2 year old has still yet to discover how to climb out of it! The mattress height adjusted was a godsend in the early days, prevented to much bending and lifting after a C-Section.
Overall, a great statement piece of nursery furniture and worth every penny.Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

"I adore my Sleepi, it really is the BEST cot…"
16-Dec-2009
I adore my Sleepi, it really is the BEST cot on the market, not only is it beautiful, but its so functional.
I love how the mini cot feels like a moses as you can adjust the height of the cot so baby isn't swallowed by the bars, which as having a C-section delivery made picking up my daughter really easy! i loved the shape too, no nasty corners for her to roll into and get stuck!!
we changed to the big cot when she was about 6 months old. It was again great to change the depth of the cot, as she was now able to grab hold of the sides and pull herself up. she loved playing in the Sleepi too, especially with the canopy attached! playing peekaboo & hiding!
the mattresses that come with the Sleepi are really good, most cots don't come with them included, the mattresses come with removable covers in case of any sickies baby might do!
recently we have removed one of the sides to our Sleepi (as per instructions) so my daughter can now climb in and out of the cot by herself, making her feel more independent (she's 2) and its fast becoming her favorite place to stay & play.
The Sleepi is a well worth investment, as you can even buy a junior kit to further increase the size of the bed. then once they've outgrow that.. it becomes 2 chairs!!! it'll last her for years!!!Read moreLess4 people found this review helpful.

Bloody brilliant. Simple as that. My little one has been sleeping in her mini cot since she was two weeks old. We ditched the moses basket. It's absolutely worth every penny, and then some. It's not only beautiful but also very functional. I'd totally recommend this.

"I bought this cot for my youngest daughter. A bit…"
02-May-2009
I bought this cot for my youngest daughter. A bit of an expensive buy when you know that you aren't going to have any more babies but I had my heart set on it for years.
It was a bit tricky to put together but then I hate flat pack - so that wasn't a huge surprise. Once set up in her room it looked stunning and I just loved using it.
In my previous cots my babies always tended to turn around but in the Sleepi she just stayed put. As she grew I adapted the cot to side off and then to junior bed and she still uses it as a sofa / day bed now that she has a big bed. There is nothing that I could say against the Sleepi. After having four cots with four babies I would always recommend it. It is stylish, user friendly and even though a large initial outlay its adaptability means that it works out as an average buy if you continue to use it once your baby has grown.Read moreLess4 people found this review helpful.

A very expensive cot but worth every penny. As with a lot of Stokke products it grows with your child.
We bought the whole mini package after disappointment with the Amby cot. The mini is excellent for the first few months, it really does create a lovely nest for your baby.
The fitted sheets are a bit expensive, as is the bumper, but well worth it.
Highly recommended! And they do sell easily second-hand.Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

Fantastic and worth every penny. The mini cot is a great alternative to a moses basket and far more portable due to the wheels. It also makes the transition to the larger cot really smooth and I am sure this saved us some sleep!
I would certainly recommend this cot and after having one wouldn't have anything else, we just wish we had bought the changing unit too!Read moreLess2 people found this review helpful.

We bought this for DS (now 2.8) and have only just moved him out of it into a bed as we have no 2 on the way. We have loved the stokke minicot and cot - great being able to wheel it around and DS always settled in the minicot really well when very little as didnt feel like he was surrounded by too much space. Would definitely recommend it - beautiful cot and worth every penny.

24-Mar-2008
We were luck enough to buy this 2nd hand, so just had to source new mattresses which worked out much cheaper. I found the mini cot a brilliant piece of kit. I was recommended to settle my baby in his room and then take him through to our room to sleep overnight, so as to reduce the shock when eventually he began sleeping in his own room all night. The size and portability of the mini cot made this very straightforward. He's now in the Sleepi cot and is very settled. The fact that it's so similar to the mini cot he was in made the transition from one to the other so smooth we didn't even notice it. not sure how useful it will be long term as he's quite a tall boy and very wriggly but even if we only have it for a few years ?I'm very glad we made the decision to buy it. I would've stretched to buying one at full RRP if I'd had to! PS The change station that matches (Stokke Care) is outstanding! I have a bad back and have no issues caused by it, but when I use a friend's "standard sideways one" I can feel it twinging before I've even finished a single nappy!

26-Nov-2007
Great cot. I set my heart on this when I was pregnant based purely on looks. Having bought it I also found it practical. The mini-cot was easily wheeled into our bedroom for the first couple of months. You also get two panels to extend it to a full size cot. You can change the format to a bed but we decided it was perhaps a little narrow to be comfortable as a bed.
