Hi andreadoria
I am looking for a cot bed for my daughter. I dont mind if it will only last 2 years and I can not extend it later. I like the design. There is no other way to contact you. if you let me know where you live I could make you an offer. :)Read moreLessMumsnetter Saruska

"I bought the Leander cot 21/2 yrs ago as that"
20-Jan-2012
I bought the Leander cot 21/2 yrs ago as that is now my daughter's age. I've just tried to extend the bed and realised that 3 parts are missing. The Internet company that I bought it from is out of business. I have spent time contacting Leander who were really rude and smug about the missing pieces. They told me to contact a retailer whom I did and waited a week for a reply. They wanted £93 for the 3 missing parts and £35 delivery charge. I'm over the company and the bed. Does anyone want my bed! Best offer is fine. I no longer want to deal with that company of great design and function -- does not work for me.

"Our ds is now nearly 2 and he has been"
20-Oct-2011
Our ds is now nearly 2 and he has been in this cot since he was 3 months. He absolutely loves his bed and hasn;t even tried to climb out of it yet! The matress is great and protector is a great additon too when accidents occur. We have the cot bumper which really helps it to feel even more cosy and cocoon like.
The cot itself if a beautiful piece of furniture, perfect for design concious homes. It is always admired! I look forward to extending it.Read moreLessMumsnetter MrsHeg

"OK, so I spent a long time researching what a"
14-Oct-2011
OK, so I spent a long time researching what a good cot should and shouldn't have/be before looking at the various options. I wanted one that had no bars at the head and base, that looked good and was well made and had an organic or breathable mattress - and, seeing as I knew this was going to be expensive, one that would last for as long as possible!
As soon as I saw the Leander cot bed I knew it was perfect and ds, who hated being on his back for the first three months, agrees with me. The solid head and base mean that when the time comes to remove both sides it really will be a proper little (extendable) bed - and a very chic one at that.
The mattress is super convincing, weighty and the ideal balance of firm/ comfy, we think. If you want the bumper you'll find it has excellent quality fabric covering that goes right under the mattress so you don't need to worry that your lo will find their way underneath or around it. I wasn't going to get one but when ds started to roll around so boisterously I had to and he started gnawing on it approvingly pretty much straight away.
Everyone sighs with admiration when they see it. It's expensive, but you don't have to pay extra for conversion kits or new mattresses at each stage like Stokke ( I have a Stokke pram but their cots seemed too cage-like) so there are no extra costs above sheets and bumper. As it's designed to last till 8 years and beyond as a sofa, and I can see a kid accepting it as a big bed because it looks nothing like a cot when fully converted, I'd say it was cheap. I can't believe I'm its first reviewer!Read moreLessMumsnetter goddessofplenty
