"Perfect for a little wriggler.…"
08-Jan-2013
I got one as a gift from my workmates and am so pleased with it. I moved DD2 into it as soon as she was big enough, as she used to kick out of her blankets and wake up because she was too cold. As soon as I put her in the grobag she started sleeping through. It keeps her nice and warm with only a long-sleeved babygrow on, which is brilliant as the bedroom gets quite cold while waiting for the night storage heating to kick in. I'm so pleased with it that I'm going to buy another one as soon as she's grown out of it. I don't know how I managed without one.

12-Nov-2011
Love the look of these as well as the poppers on the 0-6 months so they don't move around too much. Great for kicky babies. The temperature guide is brilliant for nervous mums like me - tells you what to put them in to sleep. They wash really well and still look good. I agree they're expensive but buy them in a sale - much nicer than others I've used. I use the heavier tog for night and the lightweight for daytime naps. A must-buy.

Fine, but pretty costly for what they're worth. Have washed well and great designs. Love the travel gro-bags - I'll be using these instead of buying the expensive foot-muff that goes with my pushchair.

Absolutely love these, wouldn't use any other brand as they just don't look up to the job!! I like with the 0-6 months sizes that they have the extra poppers under the arms for when they're really tiny! Didn't use until my LO was about 8 weeks as she was small and was worried she may slip down. I prefer the ones with the poppers on the top and zip on side as with the ones with the zip down the front, they tend to wake my LO when I put her down as more fiddly to do up!! Have tried feeding in it but she just got too hot with me holding her too!!
Great quality, wash really well and tumble dry fine.Read moreLessMumsnetter Bumblelion25

My DD slept wonderfully from the first night in her Grobag - they last fantastically after much washing, comfortable but adapt well to different temperatures - unlike some other bags which I tried and found to be more flimsy or too light when a chill hit. No falling off bedclothes for wriggly babes and toddlers - I fully recommend but they are pricey.

Excellent quality and wash well. Prefer the older style bags with poppers at the shoulder and side zip as easier to do when up with a crying baby (find the central zip a bit awkward).

04-Jun-2010
I had Tesco and Asda sleeping bags as well as a Grobag and it was noticeably better. Small touches, such as unzipping from the bottom to make night time nappy changes easier, make a big difference. The quality of the material is much better and, having used it for one child, it is the only on still in a fit state to keep for the next one. The temperature card is also a useful addition.

"I have been using the Organic tog Grobags depending on…"
17-Aug-2009
I have been using the Organic tog Grobags depending on which season it is and have been very happy. My son is quite tall so he did outgrow the 0-6 month ones early. The 0-6 month ones have a popper to protect the zip the next ones up don't. Although they're not the cheapest option, they washed really well and are good quality.
The lower tog one is nice and thin material and lets the armpits breathe in the summer. I usually put a sleeveless babygrow Green baby do some thin ones underneath to keep his nappy in place.
He associates them with bedtime and they also stop him running around the cot and remind him its time to sleep. He moves about so much covers are a waste of time. But I have a friend who's baby hated them and slept way better out of them so I reckon try one out first to see.Read moreLessMumsnetter cityangel

Bought a one tog version from Mothercare - why oh why did they make it with only one arm that has a popper - it's not easy to get a sleepy baby's arm through the other arm hole without waking it up! Zip also doesn't allow it to open out flat. Otherwise, nicely made.

04-May-2009
Very good, wash and wear the best but be please be careful and check what type of opening it has - our first one for 0-6 had a basic zip all around, which is the best. However, another one we bought has the zip which zips down from neck, which can be tricky with a wriggly child, trying to connect the two parts of the zipper together.

I just love grobags. I have used them and passed them onto all the cousins, and had them back again! They last and last, and they come in all the sizes and togs. Plus they have the popper on the older sizes to stop the Houdinis getting out! I know they're a bit more expensive than some, but so so so so worth it.

We love grobags. I've used them since DD was 7lbs, she is a terrible wriggler so there is no way she would stay under blankets. Useful to have a 1.0 and 2.5 tog. They wash really well and dry in no time. If you travel about after bed time its worth getting the 'bubbles' grobag which can be used in car seats - so easy to get DD from car to cot. They are expensive but they do turn up in TKMaxx - poor DD has a blue one!

"Grobags are fab - they wash and last much better…"
06-Mar-2009
Grobags are fab - they wash and last much better than the asda, tesco and mothercare sleeping bags that I also have. I wish that I had just bought them from the start with DS1! They have now been used on 2 babies and are still looking great.
Especially in the 6-18 month it is false economy to buy a tesco or asda one - they do 6-12 and then 12-18 as two separate sizes.
I have 2.5 togs for winter, 1 tog for summer and 0.5 tog for on holiday. They are well worth the money and they retain some value to be sold on e-bay.
p.s. the grobag socksuits are also great for once they can crawl and walk as they give some grip if you don't have carpets.Read moreLessMumsnetter mumoftoby

I have a grobag and a next sleeping bag (able to alternate between the two when 1 is in the wash!) They both do their job and still look brand new. When lo was a newborn the grobag fit him more snuggly (especially with the poppers under the arms) but now that he is 5 months I cant really tell the difference between them so will probably just go for the cheaper option when he hits 6 months :)

Grobags are brilliant. They vary in thickness according to the temperature / time of year. In my opinion Grobags are the best sleeping bags you can buy for Newborn babies as they have additional poppers under the arms to ensure that it fits properly and there is no chance of you baby slipping out and getting cold or suffocating. They are expensive, but worth it. Once babies are over 6 months, I found that most other brands fit perfectly. We had the "Princess Lucy" version.
