"these might not be cheap, but they last years, not…"
02-Jul-2011
these might not be cheap, but they last years, not months, and you can use them across the seasons, so you get more wear out of them and don't have to buy different bags for different weathers. I think the fabric is lovely quality and fine to use these for english summers - unless it's so hot all you need for your baby is a vest and a sheet or sleepgown anyway. You feel the quality and I like the stretchiness, too, as the give makes them just a bit more comfy if DS pushes against them. The only thing I would say is that they are so long for little babies that its tricky to get them into position to feed in the middle of the night but I don't see how this could be avoided if you want them to last years and not months!

Beautiful product but definitely not long enough for a two year old - my dd was too long for it at one! Shame as I would have liked to have used it for longer. I love the fact that it is all natural products.

"The wool is slightly stretchy and after a few washes…"
15-Dec-2008
The wool is slightly stretchy and after a few washes it would wrinkle underneath her when I put her down in the middle of the night. This made her sleep less soundly. Also she kept wriggling up in the cot (not down like other people's babies) and as the wool stretches it pressed down hard on her shoulders (bad for development and uncomfortable). Also it says it has the same effect as either a one or three tog, which is rubbish. It is still wool and was far too hot for her in the summer.

My sister bought me a Bambino Merino sleeping bags for my son and I love it so much I have since bought another. Having used them summer, winter and in between, as well as on holiday in Australia (it was hot!), I highly recommend them. They don't have a TOG as they breathe and insulate or cool naturally to keep baby at just the right temperature. I wasn't sure at first if they would work but they sure do. They're also really lightweight and soft - I wish they made them for adults too!

"It says that it can be used as 1 tog…"
23-Aug-2008
It says that it can be used as 1 tog or 3 tog but that's simply not true, after all it is wool. In the warmer weather it was simply too hot for her. Also I don't really like the texture as the wool is quite thick and when I pick up my baby in the middle of the night I want to have a closer feeling of contact with my sprog. We'll see how it goes when she stops feeding at night and the weather gets colder though.

All natural fibres keeping baby at a nice temperature whatever season- no polyester wadding in site. Washes well and looks adorable on. Expensive but good quality and last from 3months - 2years all seasons.

"Gorgeously soft wool sleeping bag, that feels like soft cotton…"
19-Nov-2007
Gorgeously soft wool sleeping bag, that feels like soft cotton but is actually Merino wool, so keeps your baby cool in summer and warm in winter. Fab for travelling, it rolls up really small and looks lovely - simple stripey pattern and cool colours. Was worried it wouldn't wash well, being wool, but it washes fine in the machine and comes out looking like new. Not the cheapest but as it does winter and summer and has lasted us really well, I think it was money well spent. Highly recommended.
