"Temperature alert feature is rubbish…"
04-Jul-2012
The only feature I was interested in when looking for a baby monitor was an alert if the room got too hot. This one has that, however....when you come to set the temperature range, the lowest you can go is 18 degrees. All the "official" advice says nurseries should be ideally at 18 degrees, but otherwise between 16 to 20 degrees. On this monitor the lower temperature can only be as low as 18 meaning that every time it drops to 17, the beeper goes off on the handset. Not helpful.
Also, you can't check to see the temperature in the night, even with the night light function on, unless you physically get up and press a button on the monitor. Not helpful. Especially if you share a room with your baby.
Apart from that it's actually a great monitor with a really good range! But didn't do what I bought it for.Read moreLessMumsnetter FreelanceMama

"Please be careful if you buy this product! Ours was…"

Please be careful if you buy this product! Ours was a gift and we are not sure where it was purchased. It has broken after only a few months and when you contact Leapfrog Customer Services - they take no responsibility since they have just used their name to licence the product. They have directed us to contact a company in Hong Kong! Goodness knows when we are supposed to get the time to do this and what we are meant to use in the meantime!! So purchase with caution.

"At first, So easy to set up, the lullabies are…"
18-Jun-2010
At first, So easy to set up, the lullabies are clear and not so 'grating'. However, we are on our 2nd monitor.
The first was sent back as it ran out of charge and then wouldn't boot back on even when on full charge.
The second one, still wouldn't recommend, it goes on charge overnight and once it's charged up seems to stop charging and let the power run down. So just as you need it for the morning or afternoon nap, it has no stored power.
It also drives you crazy that it beeps constantly when the temp in the nursery reaches 18 degrees. So hence I think there must be a better monitor for you to buy.Read moreLessMumsnetter Bethsmumsally
