"Lightweight and spacious but expensive…"
I've tried a few changing bags and have always struggled with space and weight (I probably pack a little more than I need as I tend to err on the side of caution but I don't think I'm excessive.) Now I have the Claire, I wish I'd splashed out the extra money in the first place -I think it's the only changing bag I would have ever needed (except maybe not for the more adventurous and muddy days out - it's probably too nice and expensive for that).
It's a good looking bag - chocolate brown satiny finish - with so many pockets to choose from. It doesn't weigh a ton when it's packed or feel or look bulky. The two side insulation pockets easily hold a bottle for me and a sippy cup for my toddler. I can fit enough nappies for two, a change of clothes for baby, a couple of muslins, a couple of toys, a snack, and my own things in the pockets without actually using the central space, which I think could probably take a couple more bottles and a small umbrella quite easily. It also comes with a changing mat which is a good size - much better than others I've seen - and a handy little cosmetics bag which is attached.
It turns into a pretty comfortable backpack too, which is ideal for me as I often carry my little one in a sling.
It doesn't have buggy clips though but I carry it across my body so I can live without them.
The other drawback is it's price but I think most changing bags are overpriced so in comparison I think it's probably worth the money. It's nice enough to be used as an everyday handbag in the future which could help make up for it.
I can't comment on wear and tear though as I haven't had it that long but it feels well made.
Overall a great bag!Read moreLess
